This foundation undergarment is fantastic under almost all of my clothes. The exceptions are dresses and tops with non-standard straps (i.e. halter, strapless, open back). It smooths out my lumps and bumps while not adding bulk of unwanted lines on thin clothes. I have one in nude and am ordering the black as well. Strangely, they are kinda sexy too. So at the end of a long day of work, I'm not worried about someone else seeing me wander the house with this and my bra on. Pee at your own risk. It's possible to do successfully, but also hysterical.

Great to hold your tummy in but the straps are WAY to far over and you can see them with any sleeveless dress and they are extremely uncomfortable and dig into you arm pit. Giving it 2 stars overall because it holds you in great from the waist down and the material is nice.

Love what this does to smooth out my form, unfortunately, the straps do cut into the sensitive area right next to my underarm. The straps are also very far out... so wearing it under a sleeveless dress is not easy. Pinning or sewing it to a bra may help, but then may leave a lumpy area under the dress. Too bad, I had to send it back. Thank you to Zappos for your great return policy!

This is my first experience with Spanx and it was a pretty good one. The shaper is really comfortable and smooth. My only complaint is that the straps seem to be set too wide so they were either sliding off of my shoulders, or stabbing my armpits. And just an FYI, there is a nifty slit in the crotch so when you have to go to the bathroom, you dont need to worry about taking down your Spanx/tights/dress

Overall this product worked perfectly for what I needed it for! I gave only 3 stars for comfort because being so wide in the front it did rub near my armpits, which made the night pretty uncomfortable.

I am pleased with this product. It did the job without being really uncomfortable like every other "foundation garment" I have worn in the past.

This was exactly what I thought it would be and more. It gives me the confidence that I need to wear tight dresses that I have kept on the hangers for quite some time by keeping tummy bulges down. I also feel it helps my posture stay nice and straight. I really love how I look in this!

Overall did a good job of slimming and providing smoothing for a clingy dress. The arm straps rubbed a bit but not too bad. Would use again.

The midsection was absolutely perfect! Unfortunately the arm holes of the shaper are too high. It showed through the sides of all my dresses. It will not work if you are doing sleeveless. I had to return it.

The garment digs into my armpits and is very visible when wearing a sleeveless shirt. It has a snug fit, but the straps were quite uncomfortable.

Cheap crap! It ripped laterally from the crotch across the thigh the third time I put it on. What a waste of money! The fit was great and it smoothed nicely until it decided to tear itself apart. These types of garments should be able to withstand at least some mild to medium tension at certain seams, as they are a snug fit and are designed with compression in mind. For this to give way so early is a real shame a day speaks to poor craftsmanship. It was a bust, literally.

My package arrived 20 minutes ago. I opened the package only to find a 4 inch rip in the shaper. I checked the packing and did not find a problem with that. It makes me wonder if the item was inspected before packaged. Also was wondering if this was previously returned. I cannot review the product, but I am not impressed with how thin the materials are especially for the cost. I have bought this product before but am not impressed with this one.
