I don't even know where to start. I love this bag. It's like my purse soulmate. The leather is soft, but sturdy. The details are definitely pronounced but just enough. I can't say enough about how beautiful it is, especially if you're like me and love things that will last forever and get better with time. I know the bag is very expensive, but it is the definition of worth it. Also, I don't think you can tell this in the picture, but there are two hidden side zip pockets on each end, perfect for a boarding pass, your cell phone if you don't want it getting scratched around your other stuff, or your keys. There is also a ton of room. I fit in my wallet, kindle, a cosmetic case, a second zipper pouch with essentials in it, sunglass case, a 17.5 oz water bottle, extra mittens and a hairbrush. I'm totally in love with it. Highly recommend!

I ordered this in black and returned it right after opening the box. It is a great bag. Truly. Well constructed, gorgeous detailing ie the braided handle, the zipper tags. The interior is excellent - good lining, pockets. The shape is perfect and hugs the body well. It's lightweight, the hardware is solid. The zippers are strong and easy. But the bag just has no personality for the price. The leather is far too flimsy (thin and quality) for this price point. I expected better quality leather. The black was dull, had no life. It didn't sing, the bag overall. For this price I expected much more. Others have raved about the brown and the red; perhaps there's a better sheen to them or made with a different leather. I showed a friend who agreed that the bag was lifeless for the price. I had wanted this bag to be my everywhere go-to. I wanted to love it. For a lower price I would have. I'll look for it on sale and will now try another Frye I've had my eye on. I am a fan but for this price you can get a 2500 designer bag on sale.

I wanted to love this bag but I can't. It is much much larger than it looks and overwhelms my small frame. The shoulder strap is way too stiff and thick for the bag as well. I feel like it belongs on a suitcase rather than a purse. It hurts my shoulder because it is not soft at all and it won't even bend easily to form to your shoulder. The crossbody strap is nice wide and comfortable but not as attractive as the smaller strap. This bag is also rather heavy without anything in it and just far too heavy for me when I fill it up with just my essentials. It can hold a lot, though I never would fill it all the way up, it would be too heavy. If I take off the logo tag and one of the straps the weight is easier to manage. I wish frye would make another bag like this. I wanted a good quality hobo bag that can be used as a crossbody and this seemed to fit. Sadly, it's a miss for me.

Love this bag! Came darker than the photo, leather is supple and beautiful and it holds a lot. It's sort of a throw back bag but updated. The cross body strap is great too!

I love this bag. Have it in several colors. I like that the leather is not real thick. Makes it not quite so bulky and heavy. Hangs well on my shoulder. I can not say enough about this bag. I tried several of the hobos and totes and sent them back. This one is a total winner for me. I can see myself carrying it for years to come...hence the purchase of several colors.

This is such a beautiful bag! Amazing, gorgeous leather, shoulder handle hangs perfectly, option for cross body strap perfect, very hip/stylish/casual. One amazing guilty pleasure!

I am in love with this bag. I am a very picky buyer when it comes to bags. At first I was hesitant to spend so much money on a bag and thought it would be too big but after receiving the bag and adjusting the strap, it's perfect. I'm 5ft 3 inches and it sits beautifully on my petite frame. Great quality and beautiful color.

I have this bag in the grey and it is gorgeous. Much nicer than in the photo. I love the color - it is a taupe/gray that is a beautiful neutral color. I hesitated to spend this much for a bag, but I'm glad that I did! I anticipate wearing the short strap the most, but appreciate having the longer strap to make it a cross body for going to the city, etc. I like the look of one strap or the other.

Oh my, this bag is fabulous. Gorgeous color, sumptuous leather. Can't say enough, Frye bags are just top quality.

Love! I've never spent this much on a purse, but after much consideration I decided to go for it. I mean, my purse is a near constant companion, so I wanted to LOVE it, and I do! To me this made the price worth it. I got the gray color. My first impression on arrival was that the color was not so much gray but more of a taupe. Despite initial disappointment I have come to love the color. I can see where the bag might be too big or too heavy if you're tiny... but I'm of average build and it works great for me. The strap is just right, very comfortable and, very importantly, it does not slip off my shoulder with every little move. This bag fits perfectly tucked under my arm. There is also the longer canvas strap to convert to a crossbody bag when needed, which I have not used yet but will eventually. I was happily surprised to see that there are TWO side zip pockets...that was not clear from the description, but YaY! There is just enough detail to this bag to make it interesting but not so much that it cries for attention. I don't feel like I'm carrying a teenager's bag or advertising for some designer. The leather is soft and supple and feels amazing. The intoxicating leathery smell is an added bonus... makes me close my eyes and smile!

Such a roomy and beautiful bag. My only complaint is that I have to take the short strap off every time I want to use the longer strap. Kind of annoying. Sadly, returned. But I may re-order. Such a nice bag....

I have it in burnt red, and love the leather and the hobo shape. It seemed a little big to me at first, but once it's on your shoulder and the sides pull up, it's a good size. The handles are large enough to go over the shoulder even with a coat, which is important to me. I could live without all the braided, fringy trim -- hesitated because of this stuff, which I find fussy and unnecessary on a quality bag. I kept it, but would still like fewer do-dads. The two end pockets are fabulous, though, really help keep you organized. I wish it didn't say "Frye" on both sides: once is more than enough.

I really wanted to love this bag. I love Frye, I love other bags by them, and in all fairness, the leather on this bag is nicely supple (hence the 3 stars on "overall"). I have owned this bag for 8 months now and have tried it with jeans, at work, going to volunteer opportunities, appointments . . . . - I'm trying to love it! But this bag always looks like deflated balloon, not matter how much "stuff" is in it (and you don't want to put too much in it, because this bag swallows anything at the bottom and its impossible to drag it back out). The bag just sags, enveloping itself in folds upon folds of its soft leather, and looks sad. It has no built-it support in the bottom or sides of the bag to keep its structure, even in a relaxed fashion, so it looks like you are carrying a (leather) half-empty grocery bag on your arm. If this bag were less or so, I wouldn't mind the lack of detail; but at this price, Frye? I expected better, and so should all customers. Please, save your money and buy a gorgeous bag for yourself!
