I've owned these shoes for over a year now and have had time to make a real objective review. I bought these in navy and green canvas. In summary, its an ok shoe. Style is great, comfort is iffy and quality is questionable. Here is what I have to say in detail: Style: Both were attractive, but the green is my favorite by far. Looks great with anything, but especially khakis which I wear often. Definately a 1960-ish style sneaker. Comfort: The shoe is comfortable at first, but after hours of wearing, I always end up with a blister on my small toe from rubbing and sliding. Part of the problem is the insole. They become very slippery when your foot perspires. Even with socks on, after several hours, my foot will slide and you can hear a faint slipping noise as you step. I replaces the insoles, which stopped the sliding, but I still end up with a blister on my small toe, after several hours of wear. Quality: For the price, you would expect great things, but I feel that the full price does not justify the quality of this sneaker. I actually had to send back the shoe twice, because I receive shoes with defects on the sole. They finally got it right on the third try....partially. I could tell that they had manufacturing issues, even on the last pair, because it was evident that the sole was not aligned perfectly. I ended up getting them on significant discount, so I decided to heed my complaints.

I have bought three pairs of these shoes in a matter of about 3 yrs because I love the style of them so much! However, the last two pairs that I bought only lasted as long collectively as the first single pair that I purchased. The first pair had a light blue rubber sole and were relatively durable. The last two pair had a gum beige/gum rubber sole and both pairs have worn atrociously bad. SeaVees, have obviously either changed their manufacturer or taken a quantum step backwards in there stringency of quality control. Come on SeaVees, I buy my kids Converse All-Star and they last twice as these shoes do.

I only have tennis shoes in my closet. And one dusty pair of dress shoes. Since I live in sneakers, I'm particular about them. New to this brand, but saw good reviews so thought I'd give them a try. Like the shoe and color I chose (navy canvas). Comfortable and broke in right away. Thanks Zappos.

Great looking shoe! However, it does NOT have a red sole bottom like as shown in the pictures. It is tan.

Great shoes. Normally wear a 12. I ordered a 13 so they would be wide. Love the shoes.

These are so much better than your standard canvas shoe. Love them. If you read the reviews for this shoe some mention how snug the shoe is and how the eye holes may bite into your foot. This is what happened in my case. I'm usually a 11 1/2 and had to exchange for a size 12.

Hella stylish with a very laid back retro California vibe! These look great with shorts, khakis, denim,etc...very cool shoes and much better choice for me than Chucks or Vans!

These are the only shoes my son wears! He wore this brand and style throughout high school, and he now wears them everyday in college walking all over campus. He likes the way they look and that they are comfortable. They hold up well. We just bought these to replace a faded pair that he had worn a lot in the rain. SeaVees makes a black leather pair that are better for the rain, which we now also buy.

I like the color & style and they look great with jeans. Fit true to size. They're not the most comfortable shoe that I own but not bad either.

Shoes look & feel great. Nice casual look that goes well with chinos, jeans, or shorts. On a Brannock device I'm an 11, usually wear 11.5's, and had to get Sz 12 in this shoe.

I love these shoes I wear them daily. They are well made I have yet to have any split on the seam and the real rubber sole makes them very comfortable to wear. The styling is classic and the vintage racing strip on the heel helps set them apart from other shoes on the market. They are great for vintage car rallies or kicking around town, timeless style and comfortable.

This pair of shoes is getting me through the summer. So far, so good. Fit is comfortable and bed of shoe keeps my feet odor free and dry with socks on. I take short walks with my dog every morning and this shoe seems to hold up. I got them wet washing the car, so the suede on the toe changed a little, but not much. I bought the blue pair; seems to go with everything.

Great shoe, you can dress it up or down, really comfortable. Only downside is there is a line of suede along the front that can get wet and slightly damaged.

The fit seems ok and they are comfortable enough so decided to keep them. Haven't started using them yet so can't speak to how well they will hold up.

Very great styling and materials. Just a little small to size. Sending back to try one size larger.

Great looking summer shoe that fits true to size. Wears great with shorts, jeans, and casual pants. The major drawback is no heel or arch support (which I fixed using an insert under the removable insole). The only other drawback is that the tongue is so unstructured that it easily wrinkles requiring periodic straightening throughout the day.

Fit well. Style is okay. Can do better.

The shoe was uncomfortably tight across the widest part of my foot.

I really love the style of these shoes. I had a pair of these many years ago and they were favorites. The new versions look good, but these were completely worn out by one summer of moderate wear. The soles came apart, the color seriously faded and the insoles turned to paper thin mush. A cheap pair of Chuck Taylors lasts better than this.

Love the look of these shoes, and they are quite comfortable out of the box. They have not held up well though. The soles are coming apart at the heel after only 3 months of moderate wear. Even a cheap pair of Converse hold up better than that. Quite disappointed with these for this reason.

Although the shoe comes with an insole they have no arch or any other kind of support. The material is a very tightly woven slick canvas that cheapen the look and feel of the shoe. I wore them around town for a day, came home, put 'em in the box and havent worn the shoes since.

Like this shoe. Comfortable and have worn pretty well. I had to go a full size larger than usual. Happy with purchase and would order again. I got the nave blue and they go with everything considering my closet is jeans and white tee shirts. Haha!
