Wonderful summer shoe for comfort and "city" style, a little more covered-up and formal than a sandal. My chief need is that it fit snugly and comfortably over my very flat, bony, and narrow instep, which it did. No loose flopping.

The BEST sandal for traveI. Two years ago, I bought my first pair in Jerusalem when the sandals that I brought just did not offer enough support. These sandals carried my comfortably as I walked for miles on cobblestone streets for the remainder of my trip. As soon as I got home, I ordered another pair thru Zappos and wore them all spring, summer and fall. Last year, I ordered more of these sandals for a trip to northern Spain and Portugal. I just received my 3rd Zappos shipment in preparation for a trip to France.

These were my first pair of Naots. The fabric does stretch some with wear if you are worried about the sandals being too snug when you first get them. I'm not sure they would work with someone who has very narrow feet. My feet are average to slightly narrow. These sandals are very comfortable with moderate to above average arch support. (Mephisto has better arch support in my opinion). I've been able to wear these sandals all day shopping with no problems. They felt a little large but not enough to order a size up. Normally I wear a 6 or 6-1/2. I usually wear Mephisto, Born, Frye, and Dansko for my comfort shoes and boots. I have a lot of foot and back problems and I need footwear with firm arch support. The Naot sizes differ from my usual shoe brands, but as everyone knows Zappos is the best about returning for any reason. Of all the shoes, boots, purses, watches etc that I order thru Zappos, there is not another online business that provides the service you get with Zappos. Other businesses could all learn a huge lesson in customer service from Zappos. Everything always arrives in great condition within 1-2 days. I have no idea how Zappos manages to pull off this awesome feat.

These shoes feel so nice! I have size 9, nearly flat feet on the narrow side of medium. I was very pleased with how the stretch fabric snugged around my foot in such a comfortable way. I got these in a size 40 but my toes and my heels were at the very ends of the shoes so I sent them back and got size 41. Much more comfortable and looks better. Not my first pair of Naots. These shoes are well made and will last you. And thank you, Zappos, for your great service!

My first order with Zappos. The sales person was very helpful. I ordered in the evening and my shoes arrived at 11:00 the next morning. How did that happen? I had been looking for a shoe with this quality leather, and undainty style for everyday. My foot is narrow and they fit. I am experiencing a little rubbing on the edges of my foot, likely due to my flat feet. I have difficult feet to fit, so I'll put up with the rubbing until I get a callous or the leather gives a bit. All in all, I'm thrilled to have finally found a narrow, good looking sandal. No more running around shoe hunting again. Zappos have the best customer service I've ever experienced.

These are cute shoes, but after trying several sizes had to return them all. They are very hard to fit. They run very narrow, and the fabric is not as stretchy as they look. I have a medium to slightly wide foot. The regular width I could not even get my foot into, and the wide was too wide.

Shoe is small and narrow - as you can see I ordered two pairs of sandals same size and same brand. The shoe is cute just very narrow. I’ve never had an issue with a shoe being too narrow before.

These looked really cute on, but the fabric was so rough that after only a dozen steps I knew I'd end up with huge blisters. I have somewhat sensitive skin, but this was the roughest elastic fabric I've ever come across. Too bad because they really are attractive. They're going back. Sadness. My quest continues...

This is a great little Naot shoe . While it says it is in the narrow-medium style group, it was way too wide for me so I am returning. I have very narrow feet so I almost always need a Naot style that offers several velcro adjustments, once I find them, I generally buy several pair. I did not find the black fabric to be rough or uncomfortable however. Munro made a similar style several years ago and it was available in many widths..

NAOT never disappoints, except sometimes their styles are dorky. But when their style, comfort quality come to pgether they are a hit! These are stylish and have a bit of a heel so they do not look like bedroom slippers, hug the foot so they do not slap around and have a wonderful footbed that my foot nestles into. I love them. NAOT shoes also have quality that lasts. My third pair. Pricey but they last and I can walk miles in them.

Naot Alana. I have these in black. I have a bunion and something that hurts on the top of my foot. When I realized these were so comfortable and stretchy, nothing hurt. I ordered this pair to have at least 2. I do have other Naot Sandler. I find them a little shorter than normal. I usually wear a 10 but ordered 11 which were perfect.

Lovely! I have other Naot sandals from previous years and they have been very satisfactory...however, this sandal is a real winner. It is so comfortable and fits so well (comfortably hugs & secures your foot - no sliding around and elastic is not too tight)...and it looks great on. And, of course, pure comfort while walking/touring every day all day long of a 3-week sojourn to Asia. Like walking on pillows. I don't like clunky shoes and I am not a Birkenstock girl. These sandals look nice on the foot - a sophisticated look for being a basic slide sandal.

I was surprised to read a review that said the fabric was rough on these sandals--the pair I got was extremely comfortable and required no breaking in. I'd say the sandals run true to size or a bit large. I hope they don't stretch much after a few months of wear. I look for good arch support in sandals and that's one of the reasons I've bought Naot products, even though they can be a bit more expensive. They're attractive but you can walk miles in them (no need to carry an extra pair of shoes to put on when you arrive at your destination).

Very comfortable shoe! I did have to take a size smaller—usually wear 38 in Naots but these were a bit loose so got the 37 and it’s perfect. The stretch top is very comfortable. the arch suuport in these is really good. I have had problems with plantar fasciatis but since wearing Naot’s for the past 5 years, not one problem.

Cute shoe, fit was fine (I wear 9 1/2 AA, got a 40), but for some reason the shoe flaps against the bottom of my foot when I walk, making a conspicuous noise, had to return. Thanks for great service, though, Zappos!

I own several other Naot sandals and have been very happy with them, but in this one my regular size 7 was too short and too narrow, and the fabric band had no stretch. They weren’t comfortable at all. I do not recommend unless you try half or full size larger than normal.

The shoes are attractive and well made. I’m not sure I’ll keep them because I wanted a little more height.

I always order size 40 in this Naot footbed style. Will try a 41. Although they are very similar in the pictures, the Alana is narrower than the Ipanema.

Very cute. Was hoping to use this as my all-around casual and dressy sandal but it is narrow and made my ankle look disproportionate. Will try another style.

Very narrow and fabric has little to no stretch. Too bad because otherwise a cute and comfortable sandal.

I love how comfy and lightweight these are. I am normally a size 6 and unfortunately, these run a bit narrow and smaller than I had hoped. I will be returning these since the next size up is no longer available. Bummer!

Sized up to a 40, where I usually wear a 39. This shoe was still too narrow and shorter. Returned.

I love the look of these shoes but they are just too narrow. I think if my foot were more narrow, they would be super.

Ordered a size 41, or 10, which is my typical size; however they appeared to be a bit short and slightly narrow. I usually wear a medium shoe although on location have purchased a Narrow. I'm going to try one size up and keep my fingers crossed.
