I am newly diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, my podiatrist recommended I get good walking shoes that laced up. I dreaded having to find and buy some ugly shoes. I did not expect Dansko to have such a great shoe. I could wear orthotics with these but the arch support is sufficient for me. They do not fit as snugly as I normally want but with weightier socks, they are actually perfect (I need to wear socks with all shoes to avoid rubbing). There was zero breaking in time and I wear them daily. The soft suede outer cleans easily and my plantar fasciitis problem is non-existent when I wear these.

I stand all day and needed solid, comfortable support for my feet. Great fit and bonus--look good as well.

Comfortable immediately. I like the sock sleeve around the ankle. All in all, a great all around everyday shoe.

I purchased these shoes prior to a trip to Italy for 2 1/2 weeks. I have worn Dansko dress shoes before and was excited to see an athletic shoes. I walked 6-8 miles per day in these shoes and they are wonderful. My orthotics fit perfectly in them and I had no problem with plantar fasciitis the whole time. I love the large toe box since my feet are going more flat. Thank you Dansko!

I love the arch support, but the shoe is too wide for my normal width foot, so sorry to say these are going back!

Seems to have a better foot bed shape than most shoes. It can support without having a hugely bulking sole. I thought the cushioning was next to non existent; however, the shoe runs so wide that I can put two inner sole cushions in each shoe! Adding the additional cushioning makes it perfect for me.

I bought the grey/turquoise ones and love them. Very comfortable and sharp looking. I'm glad they work, I was getting desperate to find good shoes.

These are such fun shoes to wear. The light green suede is a contrasting shade to the outfits I put together. Super comfortable and my plantar fasciitis is not aggravated by the end of the day. Love these shoes and love you Zappos!

I need some arch support in shoes and these are so very comfortable and I love the style. In fact I am getting 1 or 2 more pairs. The fit and sizing are excellent and they accommodate my high instep.

Great, cute shoe, super comfy right off the bat. Haven't worn them a whole lot yet, but expect to when the weather cools off a bit. Not as much of a "rolling" sensation when wearing them as with most Danskos.

Purchased mine in the green about a month ago because I needed a good supportive shoe to wear while on vacation in Vegas. I had a hip replacement and have a 1/4 inch difference in leg length. These shoes already have a great insole and I was able to put a lift in the one shoe and still have it fit comfortably. They do seem to be on the wide side but fit well, and are extremely comfortable for walking and standing and I haven't had a problem with heel slippage. Highly recommend!

I ordered these shoes from Zappos. They were exactly what was pictured on the webpage and exactly what I ordered. They are very comfortable. I can wear them all day and my feet still feel fine at the end of the day. It was a nice touch that Zappos sent two pair of shoelaces, black and purple. Thanks.

Love these shoes! Talk about super light weight and breathable! I have back and knee problems no pain with these shoes. Dansko is a good brand of shoe. I stand on cement 12-13 hours a day. And do a lot of walking. Great shoe great color and even better comfort!

I am so pleased with this pair of shoes. I have "hot" feet and was concerned that these would not be comfortable. They are the most comfortable lace-up shoe I have ever worn. The color combination brings lots of compliments as well.

I am in love with these shoes. I have tendonitis in my ankle and I need a lot of pronation support and these are perfect! Plus, the purple and black is incredibly cute. I'm seriously thinking about buying a second pair.

Had my shoes within a couple of days of ordering. Love the colors and goes with my capri pants for work. I love the elastic around the ankle - it prevents the shoe from slipping off the heel. Nice design. Other folks have asked me about them since they know I'm a Dansko wearer. I purchased the same size as my other Danskos and they fit fine. Definitely not as tight as my running sneakers but they fit. I have to double tie the knot and I slip them on and off without undoing the laces.

These are great for work! Not the cutest shoes, but great for being on my feet all shift.

Very pleased. I need good arch support and can no longer wear slippers for an entire day around the house or I'll have sore feet. Doc said to get some tennis shoes with support. (Yes, I have inserts too, but haven't needed to put them in these) Rather than wearing my more clunky walking shoes, I looked for something a little more streamlined, but with support, so went to my "go-to" brand, Dansko. I got the blue, sort of a fun color, and now I'm back to get more as I've been opting to wear these out and about, not just at home. For long walks I'll go to my New Balance that lace up a bit more on my foot with more support. The "Elise" shoe is very comfortable with enough support and I wear them with socks even around the house. Now I'll buy other colors and I think the tan and that light gray, or is it white (?) look really good for use with blue jeans and won't be quite as flashy as the blue. I wear a true size 8 in American sizes, and always wear a 38 in Dansko and have at least a half-dozen Danskos in clogs, sandals and now these!

I usually wear 38 but the 37 fit best. I can fit my thin orthotics inside this shoe without taking the shoe pad out. Love the look and fit with the usual wide toe bed Dansko is known for.

I received these shoes yesterday and was able to wear all day long, without any problem. The sole does seem thinner than most Dansko clogs, but not a deal breaker. Probably because they are flexible. Love the mocha with the pink laces. Only one question...The box says 3M, but a lot of sites say to treat the shoe with the Dansko suede protector. I do not want to double treat the shoes. Guess I will have to call Dansko, Mon. morning.

Danskos usually run way to wide for my narrow feet but I was drawn to these shoes because of their looks and how comfortable they appeared to be. I tried on the blue suede ones and after my mouth dropped, hit the floor, and my amazement stopped, I instantly bought them. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever had (and I am 59 years old). Many shoes say they can be worn barefoot but when you try the seams rub, or your heal wants to come out of the shoe -- not with these. I wear these with and without socks and both ways are equally comfortable. I bought my pair from a local department store, but I love buying from Zappos so for any more of these, I will use Zappos in a heartbeat. These are worth every penny. I have them on right now and my feet are singing the happy song.

I love these shoes! I own multiple pairs of Dansko's and usually wear a 43.The 42's did fine in this style. These are a great choice if you want something substantial, but not a running shoe, these are perfect. First day I had them wore them to the Magic Kingdom all day! No feet issues at all.

I have very flat feet and find this shoe a very comfortable sneaker. Firm sole support and soft upper. Width of shoe makes orthotics fit well for added support. Like the lighter weight of the shoe.

Super-cute! The black suede with the purple accents is adorable. The purple accents are quite subtle (much more subtle than the pictures depict). They sent a pair of black and a pair of purple shoestrings with the shoes. I love it with the purple shoestrings! The suede has small vent holes in it for breathability. I was thinking that it would be a much heavier-weight shoe with the suede and that neoprene, but the neoprene is only a narrow collar around the top of the shoe and, as I said before, the suede is perforated. I believe this shoe may also be good for a summer shoe. The shoe fits true to size - I ordered the same size I usually order for athletic shoes, and it was perfect. The toe box is roomy without my foot "swimming" in it. I have a narrow heel, and this shoe slips just slightly, but the slippage is negligible since the shoe has that neoprene collar and the ability to tighten the laces. It has great arch support. I was surprised that the foot bed is not very cushiony, but it is not uncomfortable. I bought this shoe as an alternative to athletic shoes when wearing slacks or jeans and doing a lot of city walking. I think they are going to be perfect!

These shoes are very lightweight and airy. I bought inserts for them because there is not a lot of support and I have high arches. They are almost like a slip on because the shoe strings are low on the foot.
