The size wasn’t the problem, because of the stretch on the heel, my foot kept coming out

The in-sole is less cushy than the previous pair I bought in white (also from Zappos), and I'm wondering if it's a thinner layer of in-sole. The canvas is really tight and hurts the top of my foot, but that will fix itself as I wear them more and stretch them out. The color has more brown/tan tones than I anticipated, making the gray a little more dull. But overall, I'm hoping to like them as much as I do my white ones...

Comfortable to a point, after a full day wear I did develop some raw spots in weird places on my toes (one of my small toes on top, not a typical spot I’d get a blister). If I wear them half a day I’m fine. I love the style.

I love Chuck Taylor Shoreline Slip-Ons! I have them in white and black, so when I saw they had grey I was SO excited. However, when my shoes arrived they were NOT grey. This is like a taupe color. Totally NOT grey. I needed grey. Wish they weren't this color!

Classic Converse styling, but the fit was slightly different than I'd expected. A bit tight to pull on & at the same time loose across the foot & toe box. Easy to fix by just relacing & tying differently. The tightness in the heel eases after just a few wearings, and now are 100% comfortable. Had worried that there might be some heel blisters from the elastic in back, but no problems at all. Love these!

I usually wear a 7 1/2-8. I ordered a 7 1/2 and I had to return bc they were too small. I’d order at least a half size larger.

These are not like the high tops. The high tops are a great fit. These are a good bit more narrow. I have a high instep and can not begin to get my foot into them.

Super cute and comfy, but my heel slipped out the back when I walked.

SUPeR Cute! Love these little kicks but just for quick errands, I would not wear them walking Boston! No arch support but they have a little inner cushion. 8.5 fits perfect. Love wearing them with leggings, skirts or joggers! Easy to get on and slip off without tying or untying. ??so cute I am interested in getting more colors! Thank Zappos!

This is a great sneaker and the navy color is wonderful. My only complaint is that the right foot band is significantly tighter than the left foot one. It cuts across my arch and causes pain. I am trying to wear them for short spurts in the hopes of stretching it out.

Originally bought these cute shoes in my normal size 8 but I thought the style was very long and made my feet look very long. There was plenty of room in the toebox so took a chance on the 7.5 and they are just fine. A classic Converse!

Love the way these look but the fit is just a bit large and the shoe occasionally slips off my foot if wearing without a sock. I have the same shoe in a half size smaller and can’t wear socks because it’s too tight and without socks the smaller size rubs my heel. I think the size issue is related to the slip on style. But these are so cute that I can live with these minor issues.

Super cute, but definitely a half size too large. Unfortunately the size I need is sold out, trying another style now. Super cute though, but narrower than other Converse styles.

Tend to run small. Not for long walks, but stylish. Had to purchase 1/2 size larger.

I love the look of converse, and this is the only style that I think comes in ½ sizes. For a 73 year old, makes me feel hip!

These are extremely cute shoes that I have long admired on others. I am a solid size 8 with no foot problems, and I think these fit true to size. I love the overall style, the design of the easy slip-on feature at the heel, and the way the laces are knotted. Love not having to tie shoes! I know I will wear these often in warmer weather and they will look great with skinny jeans and some sundresses. I think the arch support is at best moderate but better than many "fashion" sneakers. Also these Converse are quite lightweight (a plus) -- not as light as many other fun sneakers, but much lighter than my Supergas (which feel like bricks and are not great for walking, IMO). Given it is winter in Michigan, I have not worn these for long periods or outside so can't report back on extensive wear. Finally, many reviewers commented that these make their feet look small. I disagree. They don't make my feet look huge, but I would say they make them look longer than typical, surprising for a low profile canvas shoe. In making this point, I am comparing them to Roxy and Keds styles,, as these others really make my feet look small. So I would say that making my feet look long was the main reason I took off a star in my overall rating.

Love the look of these sneakers but they continually slip off the back of my foot with or without no show sock. This make wearing them very annoying and uncomfortable. Kept them only because I wore them out and didn't feel like I should return.

Cute sneaker and of course very on trend, as our new VP is a big Chuck Taylor fan. Unfortunately, they just won't work for this particular middle-aged wearer; fabric was too rigid and rubbed on the side of my feet, and they really don't give any support at all. However, I will say that compared to most Chuck Taylor styles, the elasticized heel did provide a better fit for my wide toe box/narrow heel foot. So if you're young or have resilient feet, be stylish and try these out!

Got these to celebrate our new VP-Elect (and the guy on the ticket with her). I’m enjoying them (the shoes) very much. Lots of complements.

They fit fine but my the back of the left shoe is hard to pull up. I have to use a shoe horn. It’s fine once it’s on. Not too tight or anything.

They fit good but the bottoms are stiff so the heel pulls off when I walk but I am breaking them in. I love these shoes.

Well made..love the sneakers..the length fit perfectly..I have always been a 7.5 as an adult.. but the sneaker was just too narrow. I returned and got a wider pair in a different style from converse directly. I considered going up a size but as it was these slipped a bit in length.. the direct from converse was more money, but Zappos did not have the 7.5 in the different style. Zappos has a faster ship too. I wish these fit

Very cute and stylish, but definitely a bit snug. I would recommend going up at least a size.
