Out of the box these fit well, however after wearing them a couple of days they started to hurt my feet. It was odd. I tried adjusting the laces and wearing different thicknesses of socks but only minor improvements were made. It turns out that these have a long break-in period, at least for me. I like them, but I would suggest making sure you get a really good idea of the width you need. Probably trying them on at a brick and mortar would have been better than buying online. I would have returned them, but I wore them outside a number of times before realizing how painful they were going to be.

Really not sure what happened here. This is my 3rd pair of gortex solomons. The first two were the ultra 3d version with quick lace. They were the best all around sneaker I ever had. Got these today and they feel almost fake because they are so uncomfortable and cheap feeling. Also they are super stiff and very narrow. Not sure who said they were comfortable because they aren't even close. Returned!

I write of Salomon shoes in general. I wore the shoes as gardening shoes. Initially they did a great job keeping my feet dry and other than an adjustment period getting use to the narrow feel they were quite comfortable. But, my Exit 2 shoes failed after a year with the sole coming un-glued. Zappos did more than necessary and replaced them free of charge. Second pair same as the first - about a year in the soles came un-glued. I will never buy Salomon shoes again.
