I bought these sneakers because I was looking for a comfortable sneaker for walking as exercise...they are not that comfortable! I find my feet get very hot in them after I do my walk and I have to take them off as soon as I get home, also the ribbon that holds the lace in place is also stitched in the inside of the sneaker and rubs on my toes, so all in all I would not buy these again.

I had the Siren Sport in a previous version and couldn't wait to get this one since I love the colors and style. But unfortunately the areas where it looks like a strap from the laces to the side of the shoe kept rubbing weirdly on the inside. I was really bummed to return them.

I am a fan of Merrell shoes and had my eye on these for a while. They fit true to my regular size 9. Unfortunately, these shoes are very uncomfortable. As other reviewers have noted, there is a hard piece of material - something in the design or stitching that rubs on the small toe area. I had to send them back.

I am returning the shoes because of the discomfort from interior seaming near the big toe. The shoes looked great and felt good except for the seaming, very unfortunate for me. Will try another Merrell shoe. I loved the Merrell Continuum shoe, too bad they're not made anymore.

This shoe came up too high on my ankle and front of my foot. The foot bed was hard and uncomfortable. Great look. Sadly, I had to return it.

I really wanted to like this shoe but it's just not comfortable. I ordered my size, an 8, too small, reordered half size larger, too big. Not Merrell quality and comfort that I'm accustomed to.

I first bought this shoe in 2012 and wore it nearly every day for dog walking, errands, and on a trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks. I loved it because it was very comfortable, supportive and stylish. I wore it so much that I wore it out so I decided to order another pair exactly like it. Merrell must have changed their manufacturing process because the new pair is causing some friction and discomfort on my feet. The left shoe rubs up against the joint on my big toe and the right shoe rubs up against my pinkie toe. I cannot wear the shoes without wearing padded moleskin on the affected areas. I thought they would loosen up when I initially got them, but they haven't and after I had worn them it was too late to return them. Painful rubbing occurs no matter how much I loosen the laces.

Good support and accurate fit. However, they are very stiff and are rubbing various spots on my feet. I'm wearing them a lot trying to break them in but I've never had a pair of athletic shoes that had to be broken in like this. If I hadn't worn them outside, I'd return them.

I've worn Merrell Siren Sport for several years and they've always been good to my arthritic feet. This pair, however, is so stiff that my feet are sorer after wearing them.

I purchased these shoes two months ago, and I've been wearing them several times a week. I've found them mostly comfortable (a little bit of rubbing at the toe, where the seam for my socks is, but that seems to change with the socks that I wear). However, the eyelet for the lace just broke this weekend when I went to tie them. I'm very disappointed. I usually wear shoes for years before replacing them.

These shoes have been very uncomfortable. I thought they would get better over time, but after a month of daily wearing, they still bother my feet. The tongue flares out at the top and hurts the top of my foot. I will probably cut off the flare out to see if that helps. Also, the ankle cut out is off and hurst my ankles. I lace them very loosely, but then they slip. I wear them more like a slip on/off. I tried this model on at the store but they did not have the right size (I usually wear a 9-9½ but in these shoes I needed a 10) so I ordered online. I did not notice these pressure points in the store but after about half an hour of wearing them at home I started to feel the pressure points. I am still looking for comfortable shoes.

These are too tight across the fop of my foot yet slip off the heel. My feet really hurt along the bottom after a three mile hike. The sole is thick, but too rigid and hard. My feet ache! Tennis shoes are so much more comfortable to hike in than these.

I had the same problem as the other poster and they slipped off my feet, even when I tied the laces super tight. They also felt like they would be chilly in the cold and not waterproof or mud proof.

I ordered two different shoes in 10.5-Wide. I used to be 10W, but a year after pregnancy, my feet are still longer, so I needed to find new shoes. These shoes were very tight where your toes meet your foot. I could barely wiggle my toes in them at all (just the tips).

I have a pair of Merrell (Vibram) almost identical to this and loved them-wore them out - can't find that exact one anymore - thought I'd love these too, but they are cheaply made and are more like a floppy sneaker than a sturdy hiking shoe. So disappointed in Merrell for "selling out."

Merrell, congrats, you've now joined the ranks of other shoe brands that make a size 10.5 women's shoe and label it as a size 11. Been a long time fan and buyer of your hiking shoes...not anymore.

Purchased the Merrell Siren Sport 2 and the Merrell Moab Ventilator. Kept the Siren Sport 2 since they weren't as clunky and looked more stylish. Wore them for the first time today on a 4 mile hike. Started out pretty comfortable, but halfway in realized the shoe was rubbing a blister on the side of my pinky toe. I purposely wore good thick running socks so I'm very disappointed. Kind of wish I had purchased from Amazon as they would have taken back after I had worn. I will have to use moleskin the next time I wear. I feel like I wasted quite a bit of money on my first hiking shoe.

These are not the same as they used to be. This was my 3rd pair of Siren Sports and they have changed. Immediately my pinky toes started hurting. They are too narrow at the top, I guess? I have to return them. Bummer.

Please listen to others who have reviewed these shoes! I didn't and now I'm stuck with a horrible fitting left shoe at the toe area. I believed I could break them in but it seems impossible and now it's too late to return them. If you order them and the left shoe doesn't fit correctly - send them back while you still have your original packing material. They are defective! Such a shame because the right shoe is perfect and the style is so cute.

Many before have written the same thing - and I should have paid attention. The Merrell Siren Sport 2 is somehow different (and not in a good way) from the original Merrell Siren Sport. I never had a breaking in period before now, and after 1 month of wearing these shoes, enough is enough. As others indicated, there is something rubbing the pinky toes that leads to discomfort. Right out of the box and in the house, they were fine, but upon going for lengthy walks, not fine. I read that others tried for a larger size and width, yet that did not help either. I want another pair like my old ones, but not sure whether to try again or not. Not sure if this is a quality control issue, as many people seem to be happy as well with them. But they clearly do not fit like my old Merrell Siren Sports - the length also seem smaller as if I'd need to order up a half-size than I used to. Disappointed.

I initially walked around the house after I received these and thought they were fine but when I actually used them for hiking I was disappointed. There was some tiny piece of fabric sticking out by the little toes that eventually caused a blister - not a good thing when hiking. I patched up and continued wearing them as I had no choice and just found them to be less than comfortable throughout the remainder of hikes.

I am very sad to return a pair of Merrells. I have been wearing Merrells for over 10 years and have multiple styles. They hurt to put on. I cannot put my finger on it, but I think that they are stiff. I am accustomed to no break-in and these would not fall into that category.

These are just awful compared to what they have always been. I have been buying merrell sirens for years and have had at least a dozen pair and they are nothing like they used to be. The leather pieces have been changed to plastic making them look cheap and have no give at all. They are extremely stiff and uncomfortable now unlike all the previous pairs that were perfect right out of the box with no break in time at all. They are wider so no longer fit as well and because they are now plastic and so stiff I needed to try a size up which was still uncomfortable so I returned them. They are not worth the money now.

This is the 4th pair of Siren Sport shoes that I have owned - I love them so much that I keep ordering them. I am a daily hiker and wear down the soles in about 18-24 months. The rest of the shoe holds up well, I just wear the soles all the way down! Unfortunately, Merrell changed from natural material (leather and suede) to synthetic materials in the Siren Sport 2 version. Terrible move. The shoe is awful. Zappos was absolutely wonderful in working with me through a couple of exchanges before I figured out what the problem was. It seems that where the various materials come together on the outside of the shoe near the front where it laces up, cuts into the side of my toe. No amount of breaking them in helped. I just ordered the WTPF version of the Siren Sport as they are made from leather and nubuck - so, my fingers are crossed that these will work! I also called Merrell customer service directly, and they confirmed the change to synthetic materials in the Siren Sport 2 model. They also said that they've been getting complaints about it. I hope they go back to the leather and suede because I absolutely used to love this shoe! Bad move Merell, bad move.
