I agree that there is not enough arch support. However, I am keeping them because they fit well with a wide enough toe box and my heels don't slip out. The strap near the ankle fits my foot fine, probably because I have skinny, low volume feet. I do notice that my toes get sweaty, but I wanted a closed toe sandal that can get wet, so I guess that's the price I have to pay. They are definitely cuter than my Teva Tirras, but the Teva's are more comfortable with much better arch support. I wish they made that shoe with a closed toe.

I've had a pair of the Whisper sandals for years and I love them in terms of comfort and durability, but I wanted a more stylish pair that gave me same toe protection and comfort. I normally wear a size 9 shoe, but the 9 in this was a bit snug so I went with 9.5. Overall I'm happy. They are cute and are almost as comfortable as my Whispers. My arches and insteps are high. Even with that, the elastic at the ankle is not uncomfortable, although I wouldn't mind if it had a bit more give. My arches don't make contact with the soles so there is no arch support for me, but maybe it would be there for flatter arches. I find these comfortable and expect to be able to wear them for long distance walking, just like my Whispers.

I purchased a pair in this style at REI and I loved them. Perfect fit...so comfortable that I don't want to wear other shoes. (and my other shoes are also Clarks, Sofft and other brands that are known for comfort). The upper ankle strap can feel a little tight but it is possible to adjust. I got in a full size larger since they were otherwise tight in the toes. I normally wear 8.5-9 and these are 9.5. They aren't as sporty looking as other styles so you can get away with wearing them with pants at work (if reasonable casual environment) without looking like you're going on a hike or a river rafting adventure. I liked them so much that i purchased another pair on line, same size and style, but different color. They ended up feeling much wider and bigger than my first pair so I will have to return. Such a hassle--now I'm afraid to get them again online if the sizes are inconsistent.

I have foot issues. A couple of foot issues. I have one normal arch that is flexible and one bordering on high that is stuff. I have arthritis in both feet and the beginning of a bunion on one. This shoe is comfortable. It gets my doc's approval for arch support and shock absorption. I feel the footbed hugging my arches just right. If you have incredibly high arches you might want a bit more cushion. If you want a shoe that gives you an artificially high arch try Vionic. This shoe is arch "support" the way my doc says it should be. It is not an overly aggressive orthotic device. I personally will buy one in every color. True to size for me and just wide enough to work for my problem feet.

I have these shoes in black, and just love them. I wanted to get them in a tan. I love the color, and, again, the style, but find the beige tighter across the instep. As soon as I put them on, they are starting to cut into my instep. So sad to have to return them.

The reviewers are right about the fixed strap under the Velcro at the top of the foot. Initially, I thought this would be a problem. But I wore the shoes for five hours, right out of the box, and it was fine. This might make me not choose these for serious walking. But the arch support sold me on keeping these. The slate gray is a pretty, neutral color.

Still trying to decide if they fit. I wear a 9, ordered a 9.5, and they're just at the limit of being too small. I'll have to keep my nails clipped or they won't fit! Very narrow. Can't wear even thin socks with these. Hard sole. Love the color and style.

Very cute and good arch support but small.

The size for these was right on for me, but they lacked the arch support I enjoy with my other Keens. I'm disappointed because these were a little less "rugged" and I was hoping to wear them around town more. I guess I'm going to end up going with comfort over style and order the H2s now. Bummer. Loved these except the arch support.

Bought these for my mom and she loves them. Very comfortable. Did have to order a 1/2 size up but otherwise she had no complaints.

I bought these shoes for a Sept. trip to Washington, DC. I was looking for a sandal that would provide support and a little style for walking on city streets. Because of the season change these were the only Keen sandals that were available in my size (10-10.5)and in a neutral color. Not my first choice but they were comfortable and did pretty well. I really don't like the Maryjane look but I got over it. I wish I had had a second pair of comfortable walking sandals for the trip since I was unable to switch shoes and ended up with a lot of foot fatigue on the third day.

I love these sandals. Sporty and cute. I am a true 7.5 and they fit perfectly. They have enough support to wear all day. I was worried about rubbing/blisters around the straps, but they were fine after a full day at an outdoor adventure park.

This is a very cute Keen style. We've purchased many Keens for our daughters. The problem with this one was lack of adjustability in the toe box. It was too narrow for my daughter who has a higher arch.

I love these shoes. In fact I bought them to replace a more clunky pair of Keens that a dog chewed up and now have purchased them again because a different dog chewed up the replacement pair! So they are great shoes but be aware, dogs seem to like them as well. I also continue to love Zappos, they are my go to place for ordering.

First, I should say I love Keens. I am unhappy that some of the newer styles don't have as much arch support as the older ones. These are perfect for shopping because of the heel strap. The strap is not very adjustable as someone else noted but it works for my skinny foot.

Incredibly comfortable but it was much too big. I also received the wrong color in my order so hopefully I can exchange!

My foot is 7.5EEE, so I normally get an 8W in most shoes. After reading several reviews, I ordered an 8.5, and it was too long. I'm sending it back for an 8 and crossing my fingers. The soles were really soft, and I think I'll like this shoe if it fits. They aren't the best looking, but better than most of what's out there for this type of sandal!

Comfortable right out of the box. Leather feels thin and flimsy in front part of shoe -hope they hold up over time. Wanted them for a Disney trip. They were great in the parks in the heat, forgot I had them on which is a good sign. Footbed didn't hold smell either, which can for me be a problem.

Comfortable shoe, but not quite as much arch support as I had hoped for. Still the best sandal I found. Love the covered toe so I don't stub mine!

I always wear a size 9, but these run big in the toebox and heel. I re-ordered in a size 8 1/2. The ankle strap is a bit tight, but I think it will loosen with wear. Overall, I love the look and the footbed is extremely comfortable.

Cute. Comfortable. Narrower than most Keens. Not what I'm looking for in an athletic shoe.

Great shoe! Much more stylish than the other Keens I've had. This one is lighter and the straps are more comfortable, too. The arch support isn't as good as the other Keen styles, but for me, the lightness and attractiveness of the Rose sandal are well worth that trade off.

These shoes do run narrow and I wish they had a little more arch support. But they fit me well and since I have hammer toes with silicon tubes on them, they hide my defects. I'm glad I found them so I have 1 pair of sandals to wear this summer.

Like so many others, I really wanted this shoe to work for me but found the ankle strap too tight for comfort. Why did Keen make this strap so tight when there is another strap to adjust the fit here? Makes no sense. Otherwise, I really, really like the shoe and it fit true to size for me. One note: the loden color is a lot brighter than it appears in the photo, and not as olive looking. It's a great color - just not as neutral as it appears.
