I tried to like Vibram Five Fingers and sent them all back. Really wanting to get into the barefoot thing, though, I saw these on some women in my town and everyone swore by them. I looked on Zappos and they were on sale! I went for it and oh my goodness they are so comfortable right out of the box. Merrells are often too narrow for my feet but not these. At this price I am considering ordering a couple more pairs. They are truly awesome. I cannot wait to hit the gym in them tomorrow (which is what I got them for - winter in Mount Shasta makes outdoor fitness a bit difficult).

I got them in today! Thanks Zappos for a speedy delivery! I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I am on my feet all day and these were super comfy! I will be ordering another pair! Comfortable for my wide feet! Very roomy in the toe box, which is superb! My toes are normally squished and blistered with the shoes I had previously. I highly recommend these shoes! I've received so many. compliments on it.

I love the look of these shoes. I ordered the same ones in black, but they were uncomfortable. I was on the fence on keeping these as the left shoe seemed to hit my arch weird. After wearing them around the house for a while, I felt I broke them in and decided to keep them. They are very lightweight. I have pretty narrow feet and I felt these fit snugly.

I really love these shoes! I love the wide toe box and they are very comfortable, the break in pretty quickly. The arch is pretty moderate, not too low but definitely not too high. If anything it is on the low side. I use them for running long distance and trail running, they're great!

I have bad feet. Neuropathy can be very painful. These shoes are great! I would recommend them for anyone.

Unbelievably lightweight. I love these shoes. I actually wear these with thin socks to work every day and they are very comfortable! Great arch support too. "Large/Roomy" toe box. You want these to fit without wiggle room. I feel they are true to size. I am a shoe size 6.5/7, I went with 6.5. They're perfect.

I first bought the larger bag and while I was extremely please with all aspects of this bag, I felt it was a little too big for the traveling I do. I exchanged it for this one, the 26", and it is the perfect size, lightweight yet sturdy as well as stylish.

LOVE these shoes. So light and comfy, with just enough support. (I have and like the road gloves, but sometimes at work if stand a lot or if run on concrete sidewalks the complete lack of support of the road gloves hurts my feet some.) These also work out great for someone with a wide forefoot, but narrow heel, due to the roomy toebox. Really wish Merrell would put out a trail running/hiking version of these... with just a slightly more aggressive sole traction wise.

Best walking shoes ever! I have a narrow foot with bunions. Not easy to fit, but I bought these shoes for a European vacation and found them to be comfortable from day one. They are very light weight but have a great arch and foot support.

This is the unicorn of minimalist shoes: enough support to not feel the gravel road like I can in my Vibrams...still has a 0mm drop, so my alignment is right. It even comes in bright, unicorn colors for us girls with big personalities! I bought two pairs, and wish I could get more! (The hubby won't let me, though.)

My daughter suggested this Brand and the Bare Access Arch 2 fit me the best. We both have narrow heels but wider fore foot. I have sandals from Merrell but they were really wide in Med. width. These fit great.

Extremely light weight, fun to wear. I rank it as "true to width," though it is relatively wide as I expect a barefoot runner to be, to allow room for your foot to spread out.

I ordered these after a year in the Merrell Bare Access. The only difference I noticed in moving into the Arc 2 is that the shoe is cut lower than I thought it would be around the ankle, though having used them every day since they arrived this feature has become nearly unnoticeable. Overall, a great shoe!

I love these shoes! These are the third pair I have bought. The wide toe box is great for those of us who have their toes squeezed and hurting from so many other shoes. Thanks, Merrell!

I just purchased these shoes and did my first long run in them (six miles). I walked around in these shoes for a few days prior to my first run, and I must admit these are quite comfortable for every day walking. These is just enough cushioning in these so that you are not feeling every single pebble in the road. These are extremely light weight. Which I am a huge fan of. Those new to minimalist running should really read about transitioning into these shoes as your legs/calves will not be happy with you if you do not ease into these shoes. The width is good, I feel like I can spread my toes while walking/running. Overall, if you are looking for comfortable shoes for walking, these are a must. If you are looking for comfortable, lightly cushioned, and very light weight, these are also a great option. I would recommend. These are exactly what I was looking for and look forward to many more miles in them. The colors are also great. I will probably get another pair when they go on sale, in case the next version is not as great.

I love these shoes! They are super light and comfortable - with a truly spacious toe box. I have bunions and have always opted for high arch support - but I love this barefoot technology. They're great for walking and working out! I'm already planning on another pair.

Great shoe! I researched for a new training shoe that could cross over to a tri shoe. I have had back surgery and ankle surgery in past so I was concerned with support. This shoe felt comfortable with support which surprised me because it is very low profile. The shoe looked very narrow in toe box,but once I put it on my concern was for naught. I did use this shoe for my super sprint tri 9/29 and it transitioned effortlessly! I am going to buy another pair for back up.

I love these shoes. This is the second pair I bought. I originally bought the bright green ones for work. I am server and we have cement floors and my feet would ache at the end of a shift. Since I've bought these my feet feel great. I get a ton of compliments on my shoes at work and always tell people how much I love them and how comfortable they are. I was so excited to see this color and had already planned on buying a second pair for a daily shoe to keep nice. Not covered in goo from work. I love both colors but am very fond of this pair since it's my favorite color combo and am very glad they added this color. You do have to get used to the minimalist style of the shoes - it is not barefoot, but is a lighter shoe. Which may take some getting used to at first. These have more support than my other Merrell style I have worn before so I was already used to a minimalist shoe. I think the barefoot style has been better for all the standing and walking I do rather than a heavily padded shoe.

My new favorite shoes! I love these lightweight hikers. I wore them on a two week trip to Europe and a three week hiking trip to the northwest. I like how my toes can move and how I can feel the earth beneath me. Arch support is enough.

Absolutely amazing - so comfortable! The arch supports are just right, I wear them with socks, perfect. I usually wear an 8.5, which I ultimately bought. The 8 fit perfectly barefoot, but that is just not my style. I wish I could buy a pair of black leather to wear to work!

Super lightweight and comfortable! I got them in the dark gray color which I love! Looks great with black yoga pants. Only con is they come untied easily, so you need to double tie them.

Contrary to previous reviewers' comments, I found that this shoe did not run as wide in the forefoot as some other Merrell sport shoes. I have a long, narrow foot, and was able to adjust the laces to fit comfortably over the instep. The forefoot was not over-wide on me -- with thin socks it fit nicely without bunching (as some other Merrells that I have tried on have done). Took a short test run with them this afternoon -- some cushioning compared with true barefoot Merrells but has the same flat bottom (little if any heel elevation) of the barefoot collection. Overall, I like them very much, though time will tell whether they give me trouble on longer runs. Also, they are very flattering to my long feet!

Great shoe - very light and still comfortable for walking long distances in Europe. Good arch support - fits my wide foot very well. I returned for a half size smaller than usual which has been great.
