I am really impressed with the braking treads on these shoes. I am new to this brand and I am not a fan of the mesh and initially I was worried about the waterproof claim but I can honestly say that I have worn these every day since they arrived. I live on a hill about a mile from my work and I also walk my dog at least three times a day...averaging about 5 miles a day. I have not once slipped in the rain (or snow! It snowed this morning!) my feet have felt warm an comfortably dry in every condition...this is stark contrast to my Merrill trail runners. Buy a half size larger (or the + if available) they definitely run small.

I have never had this brand of shoe before. I have had a terrible time finding a good, comfortable, waterproof shoe for work. This shoe is exactly what I have been looking for. Comfortable right out of the box. I am in the medical field and am on my feet all day. These shoes have been wonderful. I have been wearing Keen exclusively for the last several years and was really scared to try something new. So glad I did. They cost a little more but definitely worth the extra money.

Have hiked in them 2x. Once on super rocky terrain aka the AT in PA. I felt very supported in the shoe which says a lot for my narrow foot. Lacing the shoe for comfort and control was a bit challenging than other hikers I have worn, but worth it! My feet were not tired at the end of a 10 miler. I always wear my inserts (Sole) in my shoes, so this review is with those inserts and the once that came with the shoe are removed. The one thing I have encountered, but seems like this is with all shoes--i have to stop and re-tighten the laces to maintain good fit. The soles are super grippy on the snow/ice I encountered. Unlike some mesh shoes, they are warm for me in 25 degree Farenhight weather. They don't feel breezy but this could be b/c of the gtx providing additional material. I think this shoe is wider than the Bushido.

I have a very high arch with a low volume foot. Tried at least two dozen different hiking shoes without success. This shoe is perfect. Order one or one and a half sizes up. I use my own insoles. They look beefy but the shoe is flexible and giving but supportive. We hike about 30 miles a week around Bend, OR so I need traction. They are also waterproof. What’s not to like! Thank you Zappos for accommodating my fussy feet.

I have a very standard 7 1/2 size foot and that's the size that I ordered I would say they fit but unfortunately my right foot kept going to sleep. I can only attribute this to them being too narrow across the top of the foot. Like another reviewer said there isn't a lot of cushion in the foot bed but it wouldn't have been a deal breaker. Style wise I think they are perfect and I really wanted to keep them but I had to send them back.

I love these shoes. The breaking treads are awesome. I purchased a size 7 but was too tight so I exchanged for 7.5. I have to wear thicker socks so I wish 7+ was available but it doesn’t matter. I love these shoes

My problem with this shoe was just that it was SO stiff! I felt like it would take a while to break them in and unfortunately I needed them for a trip I was leaving on rather soon.

After trying several notable brands, I finally found the perfect hiking shoe for me! The Wildcat delivers stability and grip and still feels so comfortable! I also use it for road running, which it handles very well. Not cheap, but based on the quality, I think it will hold up for some years.

My fave performance from a runner. Sticky, stable , hard-core. This is my second pair. First ones lasted forever. Well made, always dry. I buy a half size up with this style, runs smaller than MY LYCAN models. Kept the shape, shank in sole mKes it was to spring off rocks and wood. Great for street or running deep in woods.

These ran smaller than my La Sportiva boots that I love. After exchanging for a half size larger they were still a bit tight in the toe. However the construction of the heel area was far too tight and dug into my heel around the Achilles tendon when just trying them on and sitting in my home. They felt very stable and had great tread, so if the heel cup works for you they seem great.

Too heavy of a shoe--also it looked too clunky and cumbersome. I prefer their Bushido which is an excellent shoe! Super support but AMAZINGLY light weight and is a much more attractive design.

The La Sportive Wildcat 2.0 GTX is very attractively design but runs about a size smaller and too narrow.

Right out of the box I was struck by how stiff they were and thought this would be an issue but when I tried them on they were actually very comfortable. I liked the colors and the fit was pretty good. There is little cushion or arch support but insoles could be added if more is needed. I thought these would be the trail running shoes I was looking for... until I went to wear them and stepped out my front door and slipped immediately because it had just rained. I am glad I did not wear these out on the trail! I live in the PNW and need sturdy, waterproof trail running shoes with incredible grip. My last pair never did this so these are going back.

This is the second pair of these sneakers I have owned. They are so well made, comfortable, super stabilizing and supportive to the foot —and waterproof! I hike in them and wear them in winter for fast walks.

The Wildcat fit very well right out of the box. A great looking shoe with comfort, style and a gripping sole of "Frixion" which enhances the security of each step. I am a 68 year old Grandmother who walks miles and not a climber and was looking for an everyday low-cut sneaker-boot. The shoe fits well and I spent the entire day, including a trip to the gym, in comfort.

My Shoe choice basically depends on two things:
1.Do I want to carry the shoes?
2.Do I want to let the shoes carry me?
These Shoes belong to the 2nd category(not in the literal sense). All in all very good shoes.

I have worn the Ultra Raptor GTX for years. It has been discontinued and this was recommended as the replacement. It is a nice shoe but nothing like the Ultra Raptor GTX which fit my foot perfectly. This shoe is way too big in the toe box for a narrow foot. I was looking for a shoe for daily, shorter but difficult hikes and ended up getting the Spire GTX. The fit is much closer to the Ultra Raptor GTX.
