I love these shoes. They feel great with or without socks, and have plenty of room in the toebox. I use them when working out and doing agility drills. They do not have much padding in the sole, so I would not suggest running on hard surfaces with them, unless your form is pretty good.

I recently joined Crossfit, and these shoes are perfect. The fit is perfect, and they are lightweight. I would highly recommend. I selected moderate arch support because for Crossfit, that is what you want. So it's perfect.

I really like these shoes...very comfortable and lightweight. They breathe really well and my feet don't sweat even though I'm not wearing socks.

A fantastic shoe. Coming from a wearer who prefers thinner simplistic canvas style shoes like Vans or Converse, I'm really happy with these shoes. After wearing those types for years I've come to realize I need more comfort and support. Having only tried the trail version of the minimus last year I was disappointed how fast they were falling apart and having read reviews it seemed like I was not the only one. This model is a different story. I've had them for about 6 months now and they've been excellent. Little wear, super comfortable and light weight. All Synthetic animal friendly materials as well. Only critic I have is the colorways are very flashy. I'd love it if they released some toned down versions. Overall an excellent shoe and I'm looking forward to seeing what New Balance puts out in the future with their minimus line.

I absolutely love these shoes, though I am not a runner. I spend all my at home time barefoot, and can now go out and walk (for hours) as comfortably as I do around the house. I found these accidentally when looking for cross trainers!

I love these shoes. Fit great, leaving enough but not too much room in the toe area to get maximum flexibility. Great barefoot feel. I also like their lightweight and how they're designed to wear without socks! Comfy, stylish. Say yes.

One of the best sport shoes I've owned. I wear them for daily outings and the gym. They are so light and make walking and moving around anywhere a breeze. I don't often post reviews of shoes but this shoe deserves! Still don't know about long term wear but for two months they are still great. I will be buying a spare copy. I rarely wear my other shoes now!

If you're looking for a minimalist shoe, then give this shoe a try. I have moved to minimalist shoes in the last 2 years after reading about the benefits to the feet. I've purchased about 4 different types and for the most part, have been pleased with the results. The only thing I haven't been pleased with are the styles. Don't have to worry about that anymore. New Balance has a number of styles and 2 different "lasts" to choose from. If you have a wide foot, the NL-1 last seem to fit best for me. The MX20v3 is truly the first shoe I have ever tried that was perfect the first time I put it on. If you're looking for a truly minimalist shoe, this is the one for you. It's very flat and has very little (if any) arch support. I have high arches and these shoes feel fantastic. I am on my feet all day and at the end of it my feet are not tired at all. This shoe is a keeper. (That's why I bought 2 pair.) I did have to return the first pair and get a half size bigger, but Zappos makes that a breeze, best customer service hands down! They have a loyal customer forever!

For a "I'm not wearing shoes" feel, NB has the bees knees!
Not only that, these shoes have great traction, due to the Vibram sole.
Excellent for training in the gym, super for casual wear.
Sizing was spot on, no break in period, what's not to like?!

These are great shoes! Exactly what I was looking for in a minimalist trainer. They are eye-popping, attention getters so be ready to be noticed! I recommend wearing socks with them, especially if you have lateral movements in workouts. Other than that, I have no complaints! Love these bright kicks!

Coming from Vibram Fivefingers, all shoes seem tight, as in I can't wiggle my toes. However, these shoes are super comfy! 2E width? Awesome. And gorgeous, too. Very happy with these.

I think these are a smartly designed shoe. They have wide toebox but are otherwise fairly low volume. I much prefer the heel cup to something like Nike shoes - they feel like a more secure fit, with a slightly higher, more pronouced cup. I think they are an excellent compromise between traditional sneakers and true "barefoot" shoes. I like training in barefoot shoes but sometimes the abuse can be a little much if you're not used to it, so enter these trainers. The low drop from heel to toe is crucial, I think, for that neutral barefoot feeling, and they're just fun to move in.

I had the first Minimus and liked them except they started falling apart. These shoes are definitely an improvement and I like them a lot. I CrossFit 4-5 times a week and they are my 'go-to' shoe now.

These are great for my primary use (biking with toe-clip pedals). I usually wear a 10-1/2EEE in NB shoes, but had to buy 11-1/2EE to get width and toe clearance. They fit well, are airy, light, and comfortable.

Great for lifting and light cardio. Feel close to floor, with moderate arch support. Run small, had to exchange for a half size up from normal size. Love these. Would buy again!

I have extensively used these shoes for walking. I walk an average of 7 miles per day at work, on concrete floors. These shoes have been very comfortable and never hurt my feet. I am very happy with these shoes.

I had been searching for a light weight cross trainers and decided to give them a try. This was my first New Balance purchase and by far the best pair I have owned. The only drawback is their odor, I considered returning them until I tried them on. I keep them on my patio when I am not wearing them. I also spray them with Gold Bond foot powder aerosol. Otherwise, they are fantastic, I frequently look down to see if I am wearing them.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had!
For general use and for cross training you'll love them.
I also got the Minimus 10v2 Trail and they are MUCH more snug on the foot.
So if you want to feel gripped to the shoe I would go with those.
Slippers anyone?

Love the fit! Our 10 year old has a large wide foot and finally he is able to buy some cool fun sneakers! I will highly recommend these for his feet, these are a minimal sneaker.

I really want to love this shoe. I tried on the regular width version in a store then ordered the wide from Zappos.
The wide size seems only fractionally wider than the regular. I did not have room to splay my toes (as I've got used to in my VFF's).
Other than that they seem well made are super light and look cool.
I'll be ordering some road gloves as they seem to have a bigger toe box.

Great shoes...very light. Not much support for running, etc., but great for gym workouts. Very comfortable, with great feel for the floor, bosu ball and balance training. I usually wear an 11.5, but bought 1/2 size larger after reading reviews...fit perfectly.

I am an avid crossfitter and was looking for a shoe to rival the Reebok Nano 2.0. The 12 in the Nano was too small and the 12.5 and 13 were too big. The 13 in the MX20v3 was perfect. The wide toe box is made for running, jumping, and lifting during WODs and the minimal heel to toe drop with a solid sole provides the support and groundedness you need in the Olympic lifts while allowing you to work on ankle and hip mobility without the limits of a Oly lifting shoe. The Vibram sole and arch provide plenty of durability during rope climbs. Highly recommend for Crossfit or any training program that doesn't include "long" runs.

Like all New Balance shoes I've purchased, these run true to size, including the EE size. They are great for the gym and provide a terrific balance for lifting and planting your feet, while still providing excellent slipper-like comfort. Just ordered a 2nd pair.

I train in these NB, mostly hit cardio. The sizing was adequate. They do tend to loosen up a bit as I wore them. Sometimes the get a little slippery when sweaty. Great comfort level and a proper shoe to bridge the gap between five fingers.
