These sleeves are great covers your entire arm, keeps you protected from the sun. They stay feeling cool and are snug. The one complaint I have is they run small. I have average sized arms and the small to medium was impossible to get on. The large/xl size fits well but I think a big guy would have real problem with getting them on and off.

This the second brand of arm sleeves I have tried. I previously had some from Nike. My main use for these is sun protection while golfing. Although I thought the Nike ones were good, I found them to be on the warm side and fairly tight fitting. I find the Columbia ones to be more comfortable. They fit a bit looser (but stay in place) and the cooling effect is much better. For me, the length is a bit long, but it does not get in the way. I can't comment on how these might work in colder weather where I want the sun protection, but not the cooling effect.

Purchased product to wear golfing in the Arizona heat. So far so good they actually do seem to have a cooling effect. When dipped in water the effect is multiplied. The sleeves stay in place relatively well with just a few adjustments over a 4 hour round of golf. Also when finished your arms just don't feel as hot and dusty as before. Try them.

It definitely has that cool feeling when wet so it keeps you comfortable even when you're already sweating.
It's not very stretchable though so make sure you choose your size correctly. I also with they had more color options.

Love them, they work perfectly on the golf course, fishing, work or wherever. While playing golf the sleeves tend to loosen a little around the bicep, but not a big deal and I'm not sure how you could fix this minute problem, but anyways it's just another top notch product.

I bought these sleeves for outdoor activities such as hiking and bicycling. I also use them while driving, so I don't get a sunburn/tan on one arm.
They are very comfortable to wear and don't slide off very much at all. It is great to be able to go in the sun without lathering sunscreen all over my arms and without having to put on a hot long-sleeve shirt. I highly recommend them for daily activities.
I do wish they would be slightly longer and would cover the top of my hands as well (with one of those thumb-holes in the side).

Construction is sturdy , strong, soft and comfy, can stretch but limited only to whose arm will fit it. Description of the size S/M could not even fit a non muscular and med size upper arm.The length is right tho. I returned it and ordered the next size L/XL, the upper arm fits better but loose on the wrist area. Will take it because the purpose is to cover arm from the sun and non constricting. Hope to have more other colors beside those 2 in size we need. I bought 2 pairs, one white and blue/ pattern.

Really feel cool and great way to keep from sun burn on arms without messy screen cream. Usr for fishing and golf. Beats wearing a long sleeve shirt!

These sleeves do run small at the top of the sleeve if you are muscular. I wish there were grippers at the top with a little more room. My small/ med fit very snug, but they don't fall down that way. Good sun protection while not too hot like a long sleeved shirt. Slightly less effective cooling in extremely humid weather. Perfect for lower humidity blazing sun days without having the stickiness of sunscreen. I feel this is better sun protection than sunscreen with profuse sweating with activity.

If you've got some bigger sized arms these will not fit. Trust me.

I love how these function... but if you are really a small (5'7' 128lb), they will start to slip down after you have worn them several times. I have carefully handwashed them and not stretched them. These need to some in Small, Medium, Large, and XL to properly fit. Combining sizes gives you a small that is to big and a medium that is too small. BUT... they do keep you cool and they protect from the sun great... even in 100 degree desert! I use them for golf and they don't restrict the swing... just have to keep tugging them to stay up.

First off, these work. My arms are cooler with these on then without them. Get them wet and they are awesome. I compared wet arm coolers to a wet cotton t shirt on a 100 degree day and the arm coolers were cooler than the t shirt against my skin.
About fit-they fit tight and they need to fit tight. I first tried on the S/M and they felt quite tight, so I ordered the L/XL. After a couple of wearings, the L/XL started slipping down, so I went back to the S/M and now they are tight but comfortable and they don't slip down. (I am 5' 9" and 145 lbs). If they could make these with a little more stretchy material that would be comfortable at the outset and still stay up, that would be great.

I am 5'5" and my arm in the fattest part - top - is 10". I got size S/M and that fits very well. These are on a snugly side but comfortable. Enough length to reach from the top of my arm to the wrist. In a sun they are not very cool but I feel they do the job of protecting me from suntan. When I am in an air-conditioned place, such as my car, my arms feel very cool. Great to protect the arms from sun while driving. Definitely beats wearing a long sleeved sweater in a heat of Florida sun. I would recommend these.
I'd also recommend:
Outdoor Research Spectrum Sun Sleeves- longer, little loose but great fit.

i plan on buying more sleeves but getting the right size is not as easy as you would hope. Don't over buy till you get the size right then you will be pleased. I think the tighter the fit the better the product works. As long as you have circulation!

I bought these for my 10-year-old son for outdoor summer day camp in Florida. My son hates the feel of applying sunscreen and will not reapply often enough. He loves these sleeves. If he wets them in the sink, they get cool. They are very effective and my son doesn't mind wearing them.

Have always wanted a pair of these to keep in the pack for those cool mountain biking days. Wanted something packable to put on when the sun dips and so does the temps. They seem to fit kind of tight and I ordered large. They seem warm and functional.

Based on a friend's suggestion, I bought these sleeves (color: white) to run a marathon outside of Las Vegas in May. I was glad to be protected from the sun while getting a cooling benefit. I got them wet and kept re-wetting them as they dried, as I think the cooling effect is enhanced when they are damp. However, I don't know if they would work well in a humid climate if you can't actually achieve an evaporative cooling effect. I have only used them in dry places so far, but I think these sleeves will continue to be a regular accessory on summer runs. My main complaint is that Columbia makes these sleeves only in sizes for men. As an average sized woman, I find that the S/M sleeves are a little loose around my wrist.

Great fit for my skinny arms (S/M), and it does cool quite a bit. Only problem is that I do have to adjust them pretty frequently at the wrist, as they bunch up quite a bit.

I live in a hot, sunny climate. I like having these sleeves because I can put them on and go for a walk without stopping to put on sunscreen. They are cooler than I expected which I appreciate because it is often above 90 degrees during the summer. They do run small. I had to send the first pair back and exchange for the larger size.

I was surprised that the S/M I purchased was so small. They were so tight that I found it uncomfortable to bend my elbows. They had to go back. I wear a size 6 dress.

I had bought sleeves from Columbia before and love them so didn't think anything of buying more when I needed them. But, where the other ones fix great, the new ones were very tight fitting and had very little elastic feeling to aid putting them. I had bought some for 1/4 the price that was more comfortable. Only redeeming value was that the Cooling system did work slightly better than the cheap ones.
