This is a good hat for keeping the sun off your head and neck. But it doesn't keep it off your cheeks and it is hotter than my brimmed sun hat.

This protects the back of your neck and ears from the sun. It's light weight and a boating must have!

Very light weight. Fits perfectly under a bike helmet. Maybe a little bit large for a woman's head, but still a great buy.

I bought the hat for myself, however it was way too big for me, and it was even a little big for my husband who has a larger head.
The fabric and feel of the hat is very good though.

Bought this for my husband who is new into hiking/backpacking. He was looking for a lightweight, breathable hat to shade his face and neck. The concept is great. Very high quality fabric. His only complaint was the neck piece made him feel claustrophobic. We returned it for the version without the neck piece and he loves it. Fantastic customer service when returning the hat.

material seems great, but ran large for me, could barely adjust enough to have a reasonably secure fit, but even still without an adjustable cord to tighten under your chin, the hat could fly off with a small gust of wind. Secondly, the flap to protect your neck is so light & flimsy it won't stay down in any kind of wind. I'm wanting to use out on my boat while fishing all day. Its not a bad product but the cost associated with Columbia name just isn't justified imo for this product. With COVID, I'll likely avoid the hassle and cost in returning it, which I otherwise would.

This is definitely not one size fits all. It is very tight and I gave it to someone else who could use it. Other than that, it is made of nice light fabric.

Beautifully made and very light weight. No loop on inside or back of hat to fasten a keeper to. Also inside headband is so light it turns inside out when you don the hat. Doesn't stay in place when underway in a boat or in a stiff breeze

Hat is not long enough in the back to cover the back of your neck when fishing or working outside. Most of the neck is still exposed unless you are just looking straight. My husband wore it once and then was done with it. Wasted a lot of money buying this hat. I can not use it since there is no hole to pull my ponytail out the back.

From a look and feel perspective it was exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. However when I put it on my head I found that it was very tight. I went to adjust the size and found it was already at it maximum size. I do tend to where a large hat, but having used other Columbia one size fits all hats with no issues, I expected the same here. No dice.

I am in the process of doing all the Colorado 14ers (14,000 foot mountain tops), and have completed 45 of them. I like the sun blocking aspect of the hat, but it isn't an endurance accessory. It works for about 2 or 3 hours tops. Not sure what I was expecting, but it's a bummer when it stops working. I bought the Coolhead Cachelot and the light blue baseball hat version. Same results with both products. Great for an hour or two, but not the long haul.

Verified PurchaseReview for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Hat arrived with a stain on it and it was too small for an ordinary adult head.

The bill of the hat is not long enough. the material does not breath well. I prefer the "Ice" type frabric. Not Freeze
A few years back I bought some Columbia hat made with material "omni freeze "ice". The material was very breathable and works great. This new Omni-freeze zero is not even close to the same ability to cool when sweating.
I have been looking for other manufactures of the breathable type material. Very disappointed in Columbia

I bought this hat to replace a what I thought was the same hat I purchased at Cabela's several years ago. IT IS NOT THE SAME HAT. The bill is very small and would not cover my average size nose. The hat is almost child like and appears to be a miniature. The body of the hat is fairly normal but the bill is WAY too small. I returned it. I don't think it is functional. I may try the Tamiani which appears to have a more normal bill.
