These boots are amazing. The second they come out of the box you can tell the quality and know immediately why they are priced as such. This makes pair #2 of Bed Stus for me. The height of the boots hits me maybe an inch above the bottom of my calf. The zippers make it easy to get your foot in. The foot of the boot is long in the front but not too narrow. I am normally a size 10 and ordered a 11. The 11 is a little big but if I wear a thick sock it will be perfect. The distressing is just right - not tacky or overdone. Although the boots are black, the distressing allows you to wear them with any color because the Browns and undertones show thru. Easily you can wear them with casual leggings and a sweatshirt or dress them up. Very comfortable without wear time. I am an obsessive boot researcher before I buy and these are perfect! I looked at almost 100 pairs before getting these. They look, feel and even smell expensive! Buy these! You will not be disappointed.

These are great boots! I saw them on Zappos and had to have them. I opened the box, and as soon as the distressed leather smell hit me, I was a goner. No break in time required, and I get compliments each time I wear them. Love these!

These boots are awesome! The leather is much softer than I had anticipated, but that isn't a bad thing. The boots fit very well. I have a wide foot and usually have to order up because of this, however I ordered 1/2 size up and they are a little big. I am so pleased with these boots! Definitely worth purchasing.I have found my new favorite brand!

Ahhh...not sure I can give you unbiased opinion because I love these boots! They are too gorgeous! The style is off the charts! I ordered 9 pairs of boots from Zappos and even though most of the other boots were more comfortable and met more of my criteria none of them can compete with the thrill I get from the "look" of these boots. Sorry Perfect Merrell, Sorry fabulous Timberland, maybe next-time comfy Rockport. These Bed-Stu are well made-in-Mexico with LA cowboy style ready to go to the next Coachula Music Festival. The insole removed easily to accommodate my orthotic. Once the orthotic was in I had a terrible time getting my foot in the boot even with all of the zippers down and cross-straps unhitched. I have moderately high arches and instep but plenty of people have higher! I think the leather will stretch with some help.

SO disappointed with my purchase! The color is NOT accurately depicted in the stock photo. The boots arrived and are MUCH lighter than the brown shown in the picture. They also seem to run small. I will be returning these boots immediately.

I loved the look of these boots online but wasn't sure they would work on me, as I typically need a wider circumference for my calves than the 15 in noted in this description. But I took a chance, and am glad I did. These are snug in a just-right way. The leather is very soft and perfectly distressed. And the footbed is comfortable for all-day wear. (More so than my Frye boots which I love but don't wear when I know I will on my feet all day.) I got the Black but these are the kind of black that can work with brown, as there are brown tones in the distressed/worn areas. Very classy, very comfortable, and a no-regrets purchase.

Gorgeous boots! Stunning. However I'd never wear them. They are so uncomfortable :( A flexible sole would go a long, long way. Shame. They really are beautiful

FABULOUS! Size was difficult. I am usually a size 9, however could not get my foot in it. Then went for the 10, felt it was a little big, however with thick socks, it was good. Then I tried 9.5, just to rule out any uncertainties. 10 was the better fit. Throughout all this customer service was AWESOME!

These shoes almost got sent back...almost. Luckily, I tried one more desperate attempt to stuff my foot inside and lo and behold: the heel went in! I felt like I had won an award from the accumulation of all my previous valiant efforts, but seriously, it felt good to zip them up for the first time. Now once I got them on, they did hurt for a while. After a few walks around the house they were much more forgiving and, dare I say, comfortable? I look forward to giving these a high position in my boot arsenal. As far as style goes, they are really on trend and versatile. They have a distressed, worn look to them but I tend to like my boots to have that pre-loved look to them right out the box. I am 5'4" medium build and have 14.5 inch calves. The top of the boot shaft is the exact circumference and hits rights at the thickest part, but it thankfully doesn't create any muffin top action at the top. That would have been a deal breaker for sure. Yes, my calves fit snugly inside, but I would consider it a more formfitting look than just straight up tight, know what I mean? I also like the glossy texture of the leather. It doesn't look like plastic or rubber rain boots. It looks like glossy leather. There is a difference. Overall I am quite happy with this purchase and excited to be seen around town wearing these stylish boots. I will also be looking into more products from Bed Stu.

Love these boots! Found these and instantly loved the pics on-line, ordered immediately. These boots look and smell awesome. Leather smell before I even opened the box. The distressed finish has a great well worn lived in look straight out of the box. They fit great, true to size, and comfy to wear. Absolutely love them!

Bed Stu makes great boots! I have a pair of cowboy boots and recently added these. Super comfy and needless to say super cool looking...I love them!

I was 100 % sure I was going to love this! But I did not. I think the finish is very cool and the shaft of the boot is super soft to the point where it just hangs when not on you. The foot bed, however, is stiff and hard. I am not saying that your foot would be uncomfortable. In fact I don't think so, but it surprised me that it felt like a clog...but I want a little more give when walking, and I thought it was a little too butch. I like butch, it is cool look, which is what drew me to this in the first place. But it looked very big and stiff on my feet and therefore very manly. I am so surprised...because I thought this was a given and the other things I bought would be the ones that would not work out.

I love these boots! However, the sizing is a little off for my feet. I have SUPER narrow feet, and these boots are just tight throughout the toe box, which seems a little strange as they look quite wide. I'm sure they will stretch with some wear, but I am having trouble finding the perfect size. I ordered my normal size and they were much too small, so I ordered up a half size and they seemed to be much too big. The width fit better, but left me with a little too much of a sloppy length. I tried to put a thin dr. scholls foam liner in there, but then it got too tight again. I'm hoping to try again if the black color comes back in my size. I suggest if you do order them (you'll love them) just get a half size larger!

Love these boots! They're comfortable with no break-in period and the leather is super soft and flimsy at the shaft adding to the distressed look, while the leather at the foot is firm and holds its shape. I'm either a size 8 or 8.5, and I ordered the 8.5. They fit perfectly. These boots are great to slap on the bottom of any outfit for a boho twist.

This boot is so soft and comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately for me, it's a little too short. It hits mid-calf, and kind of chops me off. Wish it came a little closer to the knee. Sadly, back they go.

These boots are gorgeous! They are beautifully made. However they were a bit narrow for my feet, which are not very wide. I returned them because of price and did not want to risk them being uncomfortable after wearing for a long time. I really wanted them to fit.

These are beautiful boots, but they run quite small and narrow. I normally wear an 8, but given other reviews I ordered both the 8 and 7.5. Both were WAY too narrow, so sadly they're both going back.

I had wanted a boot that would go higher up my leg. But never mind, I love them! I wore them last night and felt sexy and comfortable. Easy to walk in, looked great with skinny jeans. Happy I bought them.

I was disappointed with the color. The "teak driftwood" was not as brown as it appears in the photo. Instead there were lots of patches of weathered gray. But I'm only 5"1' so I was looking for a boot with a shorter shaft and these are a good height. Not sure if I'm going to keep them though.

More review about Gogo: I ended up returning these boots. Once I got my foot into the boot they felt flattened and squeezed by the top of the boot. The boot just pressed down on the down of my instep - kinda like a clown boot. I knew I just couldn't deal with the struggle to get them off and on. Now I am going to buy the Glaye!

They run small. Wanted to love them...they were a little too shiny and it made them look like rain boots. Returning.

I'm surprised when I read the other reviews. I just received these boots. From the ankle up they are really cool. The leather is not *super* soft or completely broken in, but it's broken in enough to look good. The metal work is great. The weathering is OK. But from ankle down... terrible. I have medium to narrow feet and they are being squeezed to death. The shape is rigid and unforgiving, barely bending. The weathering on that part of the boot is very obvious and cheap looking. Also from the ankle down the leather is hard and shiny, not like the shaft at all. For this price, I would except better attention to detail and consistency. These boots make me think that this is what a cheap shoe chain like Payless would sell when trying to mimic a cool motorcycle boot.

I didn't even bother trying these on as the leather looked so cheap...especially for $300! I have purchased Bed Stu before and usually love the weathered leather and comfort. Theses were just a HUGE miss for me.
