nice bag but it is a little too casual looking and too big for what I want for spring

Cute bag! The strap is too short so it was constantly falling off

I love Frye bags and I wanted this bag to be a brighter color (I ordered the burnt red and it looks like a summer red in the pics) but when received it's more of a red rock or indian lighter brick red - more of a dirty color than what I was hoping for. None the less - the bag is a beautiful shape - drapes nicely over the shoulder and would hold everything your heart desires - I just wanted it to be brighter ... the 4 stars is really for the misrepresentation of the color. Amazon shows the color in their pics.

I love Frye, their bags are stylish and durable, made of the finest leather. I fell in love the this hobo style bag especially the color - walnut -burgundy/brown - more burgundy than brown. However, when I received it, the texture of the leather, dull affected the color of the purse, no luster/shine as it shows on the website. Therefore, I'm sadly returning it.

Wow, this is one luscious, squishy bag. The strap has two layers of leather wrapped around an inner core so is extremely comfortable. The video doesn't show that it has a key leash like in Dooneys. For those of you who want a bag with structure, this is not it - it puddles, so not one to put on the floor. Why not 20 out of 20 stars? No outside pocket. I searched for my perfect soft, lightweight hobo for months, and other than the pocket, this is it. But it's so easy to open and has big inside pockets, even for the largest cell phone, so will be fine. Funny: the dust bag is massive - about 25" x 28" - as if for boots!

I currently carry a Frye purse, same one for 4 years and love it. I was thinking it was be time for a change. Was excited to receive this in banana. It tucks on the shoulder nicely. The color was pretty, not too yellow. However, no hanging Frye tag, and no tag in front as shown. I saw another review that said the same. I was hoping for a better turnout! It's going back.

I really wanted to love this bag. I bought it in the gray as a nice color for fall/winter that would stand out while still being neutral. The bag itself is gorgeous, but it fails in the functionality department. On the back side of the bag, there should be a large, tight slip pocket to provide easy access to a cell phone. Without this feature, the bag lacks convenience because hobo bag styles are hard to find things in quickly, with all that lack of structure. Plus, the thick, rich leather meant that I couldn't hear my phone ring deep inside it, even on the highest volume setting. I am reluctantly returning this.

This bag is the style I was looking for, but I chose the wrong color. The olive green is very unappealing; much too yellow. I had to return this purchase. I found the same bag in a sapphire blue color from another vendor. Had to buy it, and am pleased with my purchase. I love Zappos, but the colors on offer for this bag just didn't fit the bill.

I wrote a review of this transaction upon receiving an obviously used/abused returned purse - I was very upset. Well I called customer service and received the usual OUTSTANDING Zappos service that I am used to - totally satisfied and happy about that!

It is true that when people are pleased they are silent - displeased, they tell everyone! I am usually ecstatic with Zappos - not this time. The purse that I got was in horrible condition. It was tossed in a plastic bag that was closed with a piece of scotch tape - no packing material, none of the usual Frye labels, no felt bag that comes with all Frye purses. The purse itself had a lining that was half ripped out, a big circular dirty place on the inside bottom and more filth elsewhere on the lining. I was shocked and disgusted - I would not pay a nickel for this defective item at a yard sale. I was very disappointed in Zappos!

I love the soft leather of this bag and used it for less than 2 months and did not carry anything heavy or bulky in it. One day I noticed the stitching that holds the straps to the purse was coming undone and by that I mean fraying out completely. There were only a couple stitches left holding the straps to the purse. This seems to happen more frequently with this purse than it should, especially when you expect quality from Frye and from something this expensive. Also for those who want their belongings secure, the one magnetic snap does leave openings where things can fall out or hands can go in. Have to love Zappos for refunding my money just wish Frye would do something about this purse.

This bag was awesome for a month. Lots of compliments and loved carrying it. I noticed the strap on one side was starting to come unglued and stitching was holding on by two threads. I was looking at it again this morning and the other side was worse. For the price the duration of this bag was terrible. I thought the other harsh reviews were overreacting. I carry an iPad, wallet, and a few other miscellaneous things, nothing out of the ordinary - for one month of use totally disappointed. It went back to Zappos today for a refund, what great customer service.
