These are so comfortable and look so good on the foot that I ordered another pair. The straps are not too tight and the footbed is just the right length for my stubby toes.

Love this sandal. It is perfect. I have it in black and chocolate chip, which I thought was going to be more brown, but is more khaki. Love it anyway and will order more colors as they become available.

They smell! I think the materials on the sole cause some sort of friction when walking. I don't usually have stinky feet but with these I do, it's a little embarrassing. I love the style and comfort through, they fit great, I think im just gonna keep cleaning the soles and maybe get some sort of odor powder to put in them. Sad they're so much work to where.

These sandals are very comfortable and light-weight, but I wish at least the last two straps over the instep were adjustable. For my foot, the last two straps that attach to the heel is too loose, and there is no way to make it tighter. I like the way the sandal hugs your foot and feels very stable. I think it's a cute sandal to wear with a dress or with more casual clothes. My foot is a bit on the narrow side, and this sandal was just a little too loose for me.

I have not worn Ahnus before - and I bought the Maia eggplant sandal. I usually wear a 9½ medium to narrow; 41 in Naot, and bought a 40 in these. They fit perfectly. They seem to run just a tad narrow and just a tad long since the length is plenty for my longer, definitely 9½ length feet. I agree with a few reviewers - I love arch support (the Naot kind) and these have almost too much. I am going to sit around in them for a while and see whether they bother me or not. I have fairly high arches naturally and need the support under them. The criss-cross straps are cute, the leather very soft, and the color a nice dull eggplant (not bright), almost brown in some light. The suede footbed feels good. The elasticized heel cup holds the shoe on my shorter foot very well. No heel pick up at all. I love that. I am a bit concerned about the thin rubbery sole - I do not know how it will hold up, but I am hopeful about it. If I keep them I will not expect to walk miles in them, that is all.

I wore them once and got blisters on the second toe of each foot. I wore them a second time and didn't have that friction I had the first time. There must be a breaking-in period for some feet. They were very comfortable on the second wearing.

I didn't have any issues with smell from these shoes. Maybe the other reviewer's shoes got something on them? These sandals are as comfortable as trainers. I can wear them all day walking in the city with no problem.

This shoe is very comfortable, but the color was not for me. It is a muted red, not bright like I wanted. Also, the straps leave a pattern on your feet. Just not my shoe - but still very comfortable.

I have 2 pair of Ahnu shoes and have loved them until recently. They are only a few months old and I wear each pair only a few days each month. I agree with the previous reviews about the shoes smelling. I have tried inserting Dr Scholl's but it did not help much. So disappointing as I love the support and look of these shoes. I see others I would like, but will not buy again. So, now I go to click on the stars, above and accidentally clicked 4 stars for "overall"--my actual rating is 1.5

Very cute. nice color. Well made. It had a comfortable toe box - roomy, but the heel was too loose so it slipped when i walked. (I do have a narrow heel) I thought the elastic would make a difference but it didn't.

These sandals are charcoal grey and not black, which works fine with my wardrobe. Both the straps and heels have alternating soft smooth leather and nubuck, which adds a stylish touch. Perhaps because mine feel a half size too big (and I didn't have time to exchange them before going away) I found the elastic in the heel, which gathers the material across the top, too uncomfortable. So that I could walk and not get blisters on my heels, I put soft cotton rounds (doubled) against the back and that works fine, but only if I'm wearing long enough clothing to cover the rounds that were peeking out of the shoes. I just need to find something soft and dark to replace the cotton rounds. I'm not certain that getting these shoes in a smaller size/tighter fit would make that elastic bit any more comfortable, but I may just have tender heels because I wear backless sandals for most of the year here in FL.

This is a great shoe...cute, comfortable. Do believe all the reviewers who said that it is a full size larger. I ordered down a size and am happy that I did.

These are really cute shoes. I loved the extra coverage as my feet are not my best feature. Unfortunately, I had to send them back because the straps were too loose and nonadjustable. Also, I typically wear 7½ or 8 depending on the shoes and in these my toes came right to the edge of the shoe in the 7½. They were the perfect length sitting down but my toes slid off a bit when walking. Two strikes and back they went.

These shoes are comfortable and come in fun colors. They have great traction. Note that the "pansy" color is not as red as shown in the photograph; they are more of a deep plum-purple. I do need to return them, however, because they seem to run both long and wide. I generally wear a 7; I'm returning them for a 6 1/2.

I thought this was a very cute shoe, and I read some great reviews about this. This ran big on me; I ordered a 10, but I think I would need a 9.5. The straps didn't even touch the top of my feet, but that was just a sizing issue. Also, I think I may need a bit more arch support than these provide. So, I returned these. Still, they are very cute and felt nice on my foot.

Although these shoes are not marked wide, I was hoping they would work for wider feet. No such luck. In fact, I have wide feet (caused by bunions), and each time I got into these shoes, my feet (or bunions, rather) would end up getting stuck in the web of straps. I'd have to spend time re-arranging the straps so my feet could slide in. Then I would need to strategically position the straps so they wouldn't hit my bunions in the wrong position. Needless to say, these shoes are not meant for people with wide feet. I wore them a few times and the shoes were actually not as comfortable was I thought they would be. That was more disappointing than the whole "strapping" routine I had to go through.

Although I usually wear a 7 1/2 to 8 medium/narrow width, I bought the 8 and the shoe was incredibly big on me. I probably could have worn a 7, but I chose to send them back because I was shopping with 6pm and didn't want to have to pay for another return shipment for a wrong size. They did however look very cute and would have loved to wear them.

I have to say, reluctantly, that I have the same problem with foot odor right from the beginning. I love Ahnu shoes, get compliments every time that I wear them, and yet am self-conscious because of the smell. Please do something about this problem. Maybe it is the insole material? An Ahnu Lover.

Good shoe for wide feet. I wear 10 wide, but with these it was the 9.5 that fit best. I received compliments and wore them regularly last summer. Very comfortable. Ran into trouble when visiting Europe. Two days spent walking leisurely on crushed gravel paths in a castle garden ruined the leather. Dried it out. Then they no longer stretched and by the end of the day my feet pressed uncomfortably against the straps. And then there's the smelly footbed like others have reported. I had to retire them. Conclusion: Too expensive for just one season. I would only recommend them if you wore these occasionally, or for a few events.

Although they felt good at first, latter in the day the straps across the top got so tight because of my feet swelling, they were unbearable. Too bad, they have good arch support and good tread and are decent looking.

I returned these as they looked very cheap in person and did not like the color (the gray is lighter than it looked on my computer). The sizing also seems to be a bit off. The other reviews stated they run a bit big, so I had ordered a 1/2 size smaller than normal. They were still a bit too long and too wide for me.

This is a beautiful shoe that can be dressed up or down. It is very comfortable. I am sad because it doesn't work for me. I have slight bunions, and my foot bones protrude from the corners. This problem could very easily be avoided by strategic placement of the straps. Have had strappy sandals that work just fine, but these don't. Hope Ahnu considers this revision because I would buy it. It would be perfect for travel and casual wear.

If you have "fleshy" feet these may not work for you. I felt like the straps were too tight and made my feet look swollen. They are quite long compared to other shoes so I had an extra inch past my toes which made them look too long for my feet.
