Best support & comfort shoe for overpronator. Love this shoe. Have flat feet and trouble with plantar faciitis. Best shoe I have ever had for running and just wearing around.

Brooks Trance 12...love them...Cringed with the price, but they are so worth it. After comparing and trying on other sneakers by Brooks, these sounded like the best. Very true like walking on a cloud. They are so comfortable with lots of cushion. Felt that they run a size smaller than Nike. Definitely helps with any back or knee pain.

This shoe has rough stitching on the inside that caused blisters on the top of my toes. I had to send these shoes back. I also felt like they did not have enough support for an overpronator.

So far so good. 3 weeks in to boot camp. Went back to Brooks Trance after deviating to another running shoe. These help my IT band and knee soreness the best of all shoes.

It's so hard to find a good looking shoe with stability/arch support, but thankfully Brooks nailed it here. This sneaker is one of the most comfortable sneakers i have EVER worn. (And I've been through a LOT of sneaks!) I love them!

Felt a half size smaller than marked, but good arch support. Better than Asics Gel Nimbus 13 when comparing the two. Overall, just more stability and light feeling on the foot. I'm normally a 10, but I'm going to order the 10.5 to see if they are any better because these do seem slightly smaller than a 10.

These are great shoes right out of the box. This is my 2nd pair of Trance, and I'll continue to buy this model. I had tried the Adrenaline model but my foot/ankle started hurting during runs -- switched back to Trance and have had no issues.

These are the best light weight, and super comfortable shoes I have ever worn! They are my everyday shoes. I have worn Brooks Trance for 5 years. No more foot problems. :) Just healthy happy feet. :)

I pronate quite a bit. These shoes were a perfect fit. I have arthritis in my instep & toes. The toe bed is wider than most & I have plenty of room. Very comfortable

This is a great running shoe! I previously bought the Adrenaline to save some money. Bad decision! I only wore them for about 100 miles and was having severe pain. The Trance is amazing - so comfortable and durable. Your feet will thank you! And they come in the cute pink and black color combo! Remember to go a half a size up because your feet will swell when you run.

This is a very supportive, attractive shoe. I have a medium width foot...when I was younger my foot was narrow. I wear a 9 and ordered 9 1/2. My toes still touch the tip of the shoe inside. The heel area wraps very well; however, the front part of the shoe is too wide. I had the exact opposite problem with the Asics Kayano...too narrow by the toes. So, I'm still looking for the perfect running shoe. Also, even though the Trance is really supportive, I think the Brooks Adrenaline is very similar and costs less. Both the Adrenaline and Trance fit my foot the same way.

Was hesitant to try the Brooks for running as I have loved Ascis forever! But had my foot fitted by a shoe specialist and this was the one recommended to me for training for my half marathon. Loved it the moment I put it on. I was having slight leg pains and foot soreness previously and have been running in the Brooks for a week now and no more pain or soreness! Hated to spend the money but would spend it over and over for the comfort of these shoes! Love the color!

As with all high quality running shoes, you have to order 1/2 size larger. (At least this has been my experience.) Most important to me is cushion and arch support, and this shoe has both. I have normal arches. This is my 3rd pair of Brooks Trance 12, and will continue to buy this brand as long as they maintain quality. I previously only wore Nike (the stability plus kind), but the past few years they have gone down hill in quality in terms of tread wearability, arch support and cushion. Glad the Trance is there for me now! Also, will mention this shoe has good breathability and tread wearability. Overall fit depends on the shape of your foot, and I think I have the average/typical foot shape (i.e. not a wide toe or narrow ankle.) If you have a wide toe box (like my husband and daughter), you will probably have the best luck with the New Balance brand.

Excellent running shoes for those who need lots of support! I have fallen arches/"flat feet" and these really are worth the money to alleviate pain and other problems from running. I run about 20+ miles a week and Brooks felt way better and more comfortable than aisics in a store that I tried them on in.

Great shoe! I previously bought the Brooks Adrenaline but this is my second pair of Trance and they are the best. Worth the extra money. I use them for walking.

These are the best running shoes ever! I run long distances and have about 4 pairs of Brooks Trance. They are supportive, cushioned, and have a big toe box. Great shoes for an even striking runner.

I was fitted with the Trance 10 several years ago and my feet felt like they had been wrapped in a supported perfect cloud. At about 2years - wearing every day - rotating 2 different pairs, I thought moving to the Trance 11 would be equally comforting. I was wrong. The story doesn't end there. I took a chance when the Trance 12 arrived. I bought 1 pair and wore them for about 1 month still rotating among other shoes. I am now the proud owner of 2 pair of the great shoes that my feet love! They fit me perfectly in spite of having big feet - size 11B.

These shoes are the best! I have problem feet and have broken the fifth metatarsal twice. These shoes have more cushioning and support than any I have ever had! They are not the most attractive but comfort is my first consideration.

Great shoe for me. I had a Morton's Neuroma removes on one foot and still have bit of pain there, and these shoes are most comfortable I have found. Had the Brooks Ghost, which were ok, but the Trance so much better. This me second pair, and I almost feel the need to "hoard", them.
I'd also recommend:
Maybe an Asics and definitely not a Nike

These shoes are a little heavier than the cadence line, but still great. I use these more for walking and occasional running, they are extremely comfortable and I don't feel like I need to get them off ASAP when I walk through the door. This is a great brand, I talk about them (and Zappos!) all the time!

I have been looking for a shoe to dance in. I needed something with good lateral support and excellent cushion in the ball of my foot. These shoes are excellent in both areas. My feet feel totally supported and I feel like I could dance forever in them! Definitely worth it! The only negative is that they run a half-size small, so I'll be re-ordering an 8.5 instead of an 8.

I have tried the Adrenaline, Glycerin and Ariel. These are, by far, the best of them all. They have stability, but are not as heavy or stiff as the Ariel and have more cushioning and support than the other two shoes. I love them!

I love these shoes. I have them in both colors and they are super comfortable. Brooks Trance is the only shoe that worked for me with plantar fasciitis; and that was out of 13 different shoes.
I'd also recommend:
none; maybe Saucony but are not as light weight/comfortable
