So far these are good shoes. I am a Brooks fan, and have had pretty decent success with their GTS line. While they do seem to provide decent support I may still try them with my Superfeet inserts. I have recently gotten into doing plyometric training (lots and lots of jumping, high knees, etc.). I made the mistake of going with a typical cross trainer shoe (the PureFlow 2s) and they did not provide me with nearly enough cushioning. The balls of my feet paid for it the next day. These have good cushioning. I just finished my first high impact workout in them, and I can already tell that my feet aren't going to be killing me tomorrow.

This is an excellent basic running shoe with very good support without going into the pronation control category. I wear a light arch support with it, and it's quite comfortable. It's also one of the few running shoes out there that hasn't crossed over to the dark side with lower heel/toe differentials (10mm, 8mm, 4mm) that some of us with foot problems just can't wear. I can no longer wear Asics and most Saucony for this reason. This shoe has the 12mm differential, and I am very happy with it. I just wish there was more than one color.

These are very comfortable! I bought them to replace my Saucony's which has always been my "go to" brand. I have narrow feet and high arches so even though they are a medium width, they still feel good and my heel doesn't slip in them. I may replace the insoles but that's just my personal taste. I will say, I took a 10.5 in the Saucony's but needed an 11 in the Brooks as my toe was touching the tip of the shoe in the Brooks 10.5. There is supposed to be 1/4" difference between shoe sizes but I'm guessing they only made the 11's about 1/8" longer. There is not much difference in length surprisingly.
I'm going to keep these 11's BUT it appears that someone wore them for a good bit as the original insole was stained up by the big toe. This is the first time I've received a pr of shoes from Zappos that looked "used".
I'd also recommend:
Saucony - great for narrow feet

I am very pleased. This is the first time that I have worn Brooks. I have recently been wearing Asics after Saucony for many years. Their styles were either too heavy/clunky looking. I love the look of Nike but think they are terrible for any type of serious walking. They are more for casual walking around town type of thing. I need sneakers for walking on pavement and treadmill. I have feet, knee and hip issues. These sneakers are supportive, flexible, look good, not too light or too heavy. I usually wear 6½ in sneakers and had to go half a size up to a 7. I would definitely recommend these.
I'd also recommend:
Asics, Saucony

Love these shoes for working out! So easy to order. I order the same brand, type, and size and they never disappoint. I have a very high arch and they are the best support I have found even without my orthotic in.

I loved the Defyance 4 and I love these shoes. I skipped on the Defyance 5 to try a pair of Mizunos and regretted the decision, as the Mizunos lacked the flexibility that the Brooks shoes have. Running feels effortless.

These are great shoes! I had an earlier version and just bought these to replace them. I wear them with my inserts and they are perfect, even though they felt perfect without my inserts. I am 65 and wear them just for shoes and walking. I wanted something that didn't look too flashy and would last. Highly recommend them.
