I can't comment on support or comfort, as the boots were a full size too small but I gave it 5 stars because it felt like they would be great in the right size. I should have known to buy boots larger, but returns are so simple with Zappos I went with my normal 7.5 and will be re-ordering an 8.5, my foot barely even went into the boot. Other than the sizing issue, which is a common error in online ordering, the boot is gorgeous! I needed a new black boot (I've had mine for 4 years now and they are falling apart) that I could wear with jeans and to work. These are so perfect for that, the matte sheen of the leather is just nice enough to wear with tights but muted enough to wear with jeans to a football game. The heel height is amazing, flat enough for all day comfort without feeling like a rainboot and high enough to give a tiny lift and support your feet. The zipper in the back is subtle enough to be professional but adds interest. I am most picky about the foot shape, the shape and the toe of this boot is feminine without being too pointy and not boxy or masculine. I love them. Zappos gave me a VIP credit and the boot arrived in less than 24 hours...seriously. I can't wait to get my size and wear them everyday. Oh, Zappos is applying my credit to my exchange also, I'm never shopping anywhere else.

Although I needed to size up a whole size (from 7 to 8), I am truly happy with these equestrian boots. They are classy, versatile, greatly made, and my calves fit perfectly. The perfect Fall/Winter boots!

Love...I bought these in a size 10 after reading other reviews that they run small, typically I wear a size 9. The 10s fit fine with room for heavier socks. This is a very tall boot which is perfect for me at 5'9" but might be too tall if you are petite. These boots are absolutely gorgeous and appear to be well made.

Boots are beautiful, but Medium Width Size 8 at foot too Narrow for me, wish the width came in wide size, I'd keep them

Nice looking boot. very small, and somewhat narrow. For sure go a full size up. Too tall for me, which happens occasionally. A bit wide on top but adjustable. Details are nice, but even with the zipper it's hard to get your foot in (perhaps would soften up with wear). Cute style but not comfortable enough to keep.

These boots definitely run small. I am usually either an 8.5 or a 9. I ordered these in a 9 and they were tight. I got them stretched and now they are comfortable, but I probably should have ordered a 9.5.

I had to check to make sure I didn't accidentally have the wrong size. Very small. Nice leather, but very stiff.

Sending back. Way to small in the foot and way to large in the calf. Cute overall design but not for me.

I really wanted to like these boots, but when I finally put them on I was completely disappointed. I'm 5'3" and these boots are way to tall for me, the hit right in the middle of my knee, which made it incredibly uncomfortable to walk around. Also I did not find the soles to be comfortable. You could add an insole to improve the cushioning, but there was something weird about the shape that just didn't feel right. I think I'm going to look with brands I'm more familiar with for a good replacement.

These boots said they were made out of leather but they were not. The look was right but the quality was not what I hoped they would be.
