Customer Reviews ASICS GEL-Exalt™

The last 5 pairs of running shoes I've owned were Asics Nimbus. This time I didn't like the style choices for the Nimbus, so I switched to the GEL-Exalt. I read reviews, and looked at the Asics Pronation Chart when making this decision. Unfortunately, one thing nobody mentioned was that these shoes trap tremendous amounts of mud in the soles. I also feel that my feet are being overcorrected...I went from an underpronator to an overpronator which is uncomfortable. They are still cushioned and comfortable, but not as comfortable as the Nimbus.

Overall good but not great shoe. Could use more cushion. I use them at he gym for group exercise classes such as body step and attack.

These shoes cause me to walk on the outsides of my feet. I feel like my feet are walking on a slant. They are not comfortable.

I loved these shoes but after 3 months of standard wear and tear the mesh began to tare in areas.

I was very disappointed with this shoe. It seemed to lose most of its support early on (I only owned for 3 months) and then the inner ankle part started to fray on both sides (with only mild to moderate use of shoe like walking at work - they were not up to par for working out for me). Despite my disappointment with this shoe, Zappos' Customer Service is second to none and issued me a full refund - which is why I shop with them!

I've been wearing Asics Gel for years. Unfortunately they discontinued the one I liked. I tried the Asics GEL-Exalt but they hurt my feet. They a narrow and don't fit like my other pair did. The other problem is the part that comes up by your ankles and behind your heal is low. I feel like my shoe is going to come off.

I love ASICS for the gel. I have bi plantar fasciitis, heel spurs on both feet, and a painful bunion so when I buy shoes, they MUST have a LOT of support and cushioning. I am very sad to report that I was extremely disappointed in this shoe. The support and cushioning is NONEXISTENT. I've kept these shoes because I was anxious to take Jake for a walk when we had a break in the merciless winter weather and I could not return them. I just bought some cushiony inserts, but if you have foot troubles, do NOT buy this shoe. My feet hurt SO bad every time I walk my doggie. They are terrible. Which again, I am so SAD to say because I typically love ASICS. I just gotta say Buyer Beware on this one. But they are pretty!
