I originally sized down to an 8 after reading reviews, but while the length was ok it was a little too narrow in the toe. If your toes are small (not all long like mine!) you probably will want to go down a half size. My true size is 8.5 but I wear a 9 in some brands, occasionally an 8. I exchanged for the 8.5 and it fits great.

Cute casual boot. But shockingly poor insulation. My feet were freezing when I wore them to an outdoor evening event in October (in Atlanta, so not that cold). Recommend sizing up to add thick socks if you are thinking of wearing these during cold weather months.

This boot is beautiful, especially in the black and brown combination, and is very well made. I ordered a half size smaller and should have ordered my regular size. Had the boot fit properly my comfort rating might have been higher.

I previously reviewed these boots and said I was returning them because of the defective buckle. But I really like them, so I took a closer look, and the rivet wasn't broken, it had just come unscrewed. So now I check that it is tight before I wear them and haven't had any further problems. I'm thinking I might put a drop of superglue on the rivet to help it stay tight. Of course, if it comes unscrewed when I'm not paying attention, and I lose the button part, them I'll be "screwed". And then I'll be calling Zappos!

The boot is cute and well-made but, as stated in so many of the reviews, it runs big. I ended up ordering a size smaller. Actually, if the sizing had been listed according to the European size inside of the boot, I would have ordered the right size in the first place. Someone needs to revisit the size conversions or Zappos should simply post the European sizes (most shoe shoppers know what their European size is).

These boots are cute and do run a 1/2 size larger like the other reviewers state. However, if you wear orthotics (shoe inserts) like I do, you're better off ordering your true size; otherwise, it will be a tight, uncomfortable squeeze.

Cute shoe but not for me. Too short for a short person such as myself. I bought to go with skinny jeans but only works with the most skinny. I don't like bunching/blousing. Not much in the way of comfort but not uncomfortable. Super cute just doesn't work for me. Definitely 1/2 size large so order down.

These shoes are really comfortable. The day I took them out of the box I wore them all day to work. They do run big. I would say size down by a half size.

Love the boots love the style and I was excited to get them. Zappos was great and I received them right away. I read the review and thought that the rivet wouldn't break on all of them, unfortunately it did! I only wore them twice, but I had thrown the box away. I'll have to find a shoe repair. Love the comfort, but the stupid buckle/rivet make it unable to wear.

So sad to have to return these boots. Absolutely loved them, right out of the box. Decided to think positively, and ignore the reviewers who had problems with the buckle. Told myself it was just their bad luck. Took them with me to New York and the rivet broke the first time I wore them. Had to bum a paper clip off the guy in the box office to try to hold them on my feet for the rest of the evening. So sad.

Moderate arch support is a stretch; there really isn't much, but I don't need it. They are very comfortable and a nice style. I would have rated them 5 stars overall but for the little screw-on rivet that holds the strap. That is the silliest excuse for a buckle I have ever seen. They come unscrewed constantly and one day I will lose them, and from what other reviews say, they cannot be replaced. For that reason I cannot recommend them.

I wanted to love these boots, but I had to return them. They were not a good style for my feet and I was disappointed in the quality. One boot was smooth in texture and the other was roughed. That made for an odd look. Sorry, Zappos.

Love these boots, did not find the fit to be off, I wear a size 9 and these fit beautifully, But problem with adjustable strap staying put across front of boot. It pops off with any forward flexion of foot, not very functional.

I too purchased these boots and initially loved them. They do run a bit big, so I ordered an 8.5 versus my normal 9. However, and that's a big however, like others, my fastener broke/came off after only a few wears. Unfortunately, Zappos does not have additional stock in my size. I even went as far as to contact Caterpillar to see if they could send a replacement part (the teeny, tiny ball that, apparently, screws onto the top of the fastener to hold the strap in place) and was sadly met with a "we don't have replacement parts; you can try a cobbler" dismissal. I'm annoyed but torn since I really love the style and comfort of this boot so much. That said, Zappos was extremely helpful offering a return, which I will take them up on if I can't somehow get them fixed.

I loved these boots, but the fastening broke after a couple of wears. Zappos refunded my money before I even sent them back! Great customer service, but now I search for boots again.

I loved the style, but the quality in the metal boot strap fastener is defective. I had only worn the boot a couple of times, Zappos is returning for a new pair so we will see.
