I also tried on a jillion boots, and finally settled on these. They fit my larger calves, and allow me to tuck my skinny jeans in with no problem. They run a little large. I usually wear a 8 1/2 and went down to to an 8. They are stylish, kind of rugged, but cute with skirts or jeans. Not super dressy, but not too motorcyle bootish. Oh, and they are super comfortable, and not difficult to get on, because of the side zipper. Love these boots!

I love these boots. The foot seemed a tad big but with the right socks will be fine. The shaft fit snug and I don't think I could tuck any pants in so I was going to send them back but husband told me to keep them and they will stretch or I can have them stretched at a shoe repair shop. I looked to see if they had a wide calf but none was offered. I really didn't think my calves were big or wide but who knew, eh? Anyway, I really like these boots. The only reason I gave them a 4 star overall was due to the shaft being so snug. Right now I might be able to get them over a pair of tights but that would be it.

Great NYC walking boots! I received these boots just before a NYC trip the first of December. I walked (fast) all over the city and they completely kept up with me - No breaking-in period necessary at all. Best useful boot purchase ever - stylish and comfortable! I wear a size 10 and these fit well - I wore regular pant socks, but there is room for heavier socks. Not on sale when I bought them but they are certainly worth the full price.

Don't let the item info deter you from these boots. The calf circumference is not 13". Having bought another pair of Lucky Brand boots, I wanted to give these a try, and they fit my 15.5" calves just fine, even over pants. I do wear a size 10, but I'd be willing to bet there is not a huge difference between a 10 and the size they measured. The boots are nice, a little more rugged/less refined than I was hoping, but they will serve me well for both every day and business casual. I just wasn't ready to drop money on another pair of Frye's, (the Melissa Buttons were my first choice). Only other critique is that the foot is a bit wide on my nearly wide foot, but that will allow for me to wear some thick socks this winter. Length is true to size.

I love these boots! I recently bought them in black and then decided I liked them so much that I needed to get them in brown as well. Usually I wear a size 7, but I opted to go down a size in these because they seemed a bit too roomy. The calf with is pretty large. I have skinny calves, and there is room to spare when I wear them with skinny jeans, but not so much room that it looks weird.

I looked at a lot of boots to buy these and they were worth the work! They are a nice balance of being able to go slightly dressy to completely casual. The leather is soft but stiff enough that it doesn't sag around the ankle. They are easy to wear from the first time out of the box. They are a little wide around the calf so not for someone with skinny calves. I wear a size 8 and they were true to size. My calf is an average muscular size.

Best quality of the several I bought this year. The leather is buttery soft and lustrous without being shiny. I will say that these are tall and on me (5' 5 1/2) they want to be slouchy around the ankle probably because they're being pushed down by my knees and pants. But they go on over my wide calves and are comfortable. Great choice for quality look!

I love these boots! I have "athletic" calves (15.5-16") and have to try on so many boots to find a single pair that fits correctly. These are definitely not a 13" circumference. I can easily fit these over legging and skinny jeans. Super cute and comfy too!

I bought these boots in black at one of the upscale department store's New years day clearance sale. I tried on several pairs of black boots, mostly high end designer brands and these were the ones I decided on because they were made well, not too dressy and comfy. Got a great deal, but they are worth full price. I bought my normal size 8, I usually wear an athletic sock with my boots and they fit great-a little snug on my left foot at first but quickly broke in and are perfect. Skinny jeans or even some of my straight leg jeans fit inside these nicely and my calves are normal size. Would highly recommend these boots.

I truly believe I looked at every single pair of tall black boots currently available for purchase and decided on these. I absolutely love them - they are comfortable, a bit rugged looking without being too motorcycle-y for me, and very well-made. I love the leather lining, and the asymmetrical tops. They fit my large-ish calfs with room to spare, and are (so far) stiff enough to stand up so they're not slouchy. They're not as "dressy" as some boots I considered, but they're perfect for me!

I purchased these boots based on the reviews and comments that the shaft was "roomy" and not 13" as noted in the product information. I measured (wrapping a measuring tape around the widest part of the boot shaft)the width of the shaft on the size 9 I purchased. It was approximately 16" wide. These are definitely roomy. I'm so happy to finally have a pair of boots that fit my leg and don't feel like they are cutting of blood circulation. Be forewarned, the leather has a distressed finish and are not a pure, dark black. There are parts of the boot that look more gray than black. It's a cool look, but make sure that is what you want before purchasing. Also, they are a bit wider in the toe box than I expected and sometimes I think they make my feet look big, but it also makes the boots very comfy and no need for a breaking in period. Overall, I'm enjoying the Falta and have worn them every day since I got them (3 days ago :)).

I love these boots and was so excited to get the box today, as I wanted to wear them for my birthday tomorrow. I wear a 10½/11 and ordered an 11. It felt like squeezing my feet into a 9! I love everything about them but they have to be returned.

Don't get these boots unless you have large calves that you need to work around. I was looking for something with a tighter fit and these boots DO NOT fit the bill. They are huge and they look like rain boots. They will be getting shipped back first thing tomorrow.
