Normally I like smaller bags, but after trying out the Fossil Mini Explorer I found that it was too small for my needs. I received the Fossil Explorer and thought at first it would be too big, but it works out perfectly for me. My husband said I would grow into it and he was right. I don't fill it up by any means, but I have enough room to put my things with room to stash my scarf if I don't want to carry it. The leather is so soft and I actually like the canvas under the leather strap because it helps keep it from slipping off my shoulder when I'm not wearing it across my body. I like the adjustable strap and the multiple pockets so I can find my phone quickly. I don't like the big zippers that much, but it's not a deal breaker. Just wish the zippers were a little smaller and smoother. The zippers did stick a bit in the beginning, but once you use it regularly they loosen right up. The color is gorgeous and I absolutely love it!

I hesitated to spend so much on a handbag, but if you can afford it, this one is worth the money. I shopped around before purchasing it and found bags of lesser quality and usefulness at the same or higher prices. The quality and casual but classic style are superb, the leather is thick and buttery soft, and it holds everything. It isn't a lightweight bag and I won't take it when I travel, but for everyday, it is perfect.

My daughter and her fiance bought this for me for Christmas last year, and I am still carrying it! It is soft and rich and comfy and just contorts to your body as you carry it across your body. Love this bag! My favorite thus far.

I was looking for an "organized" bag and one big enough to slide my iPad in, especially for flight travel. Dimensions were given in the product info. Naturally, the width at the opening is narrower due to the zipper and seam logistics. So, it is very tight getting my iPad past the zipper. Once in though, great. Perfect. Very pleased.

Love it! I got this in the light tan. I am a fan of the Explorer line from Fossil and had my eye on this bag for a while. It isn't as large as my Fossil Stanton Top Zip, but there is room for everything I need -- full-sized wallet, sunglasses case, phone, lipstick case, etc. The strap is adjustable and is also covered in leather on the outward facing side. The bag weighs about the same as my Stanton Top Zip, so I didn't find the bag to be too heavy even when filled. The leather is very soft and buttery. It is the type of leather that "scuffs" but it isn't terribly noticeable in the light tan. Might be an issue in some of the darker colors or might just add to the look of the bag. Love it and couldn't be happier.

This is the most perfect bag I've ever owned! I'm ready to give all my Dooney's, Michael Kors, etc. to Goodwill. It has all the space an average person needs for everyday, comfortable shoulder strap and roomy outside pockets. Love it!

Love the Fossil Explorer Crossbody bag in black. It's just the right size, bought the matching wallet too. The leather is nice and soft, the bronze colored zippers and leather trim on the adjustable shoulder strap give it that rustic look I was after.I also appreciate how the shoulder strap ends are attached to the back of bag, it fits against my body and doesn't slip off my shoulder. Great bag, buy it!

I wanted a simple yet stylish leather cross-body bag and that's exactly what this is! The leather is very soft but sturdy. There's not a ton of room for carrying lots of items in this purse, but it fits my sunglasses, wallet, keys, and a small cosmetics case perfectly. The only downside I can think of is the weight of the bag, but that comes with having a high-quality product made of leather. Overall, the weight of the bag doesn't bother me and overall is quite comfortable. I live in Seattle where we can get quite a bit of rain and this purse has held up great!

Great purse, nice zippers, plenty of compartments. I love the black and brown. The leather is soft, it can hold my iPad without the case. I love the Fossil brass name plate on the back. Real sharp, but not too over the top, like some purses that are covered in advertising their name. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love my new handbag! It has just the right amount of space for the essentials and a bit more. Lots of different compartments and it lays nicely when you walk and doesn't fall off your shoulder easily like other purses. The zippers add a nice touch to the design. It is well made and looks like it's going to last. I would definitely recommend this purse.

Great size and functionality. Love the compartments. Only thing is that not all color options have the emblem on the front center bottom as pictured on some on the web item page. Some have it on the top center backside (as in the peacock blue that I purchased) -- not sure why each is different (probably different manufacturing factory?). I prefer it on the front bottom so the bag doesn't look so plain when worn. Also, the zipper is substantial but somewhat drags. Hoping it will get smoother in time. Otherwise, I love the Fossil Explorer designs that came out. Fossil definitely came up with great handbag designs starting Jan 2011. Thanks!

I decided I needed a handbag that my ipad could fit into that wasn't too large or heavy. I love fossil bags and this one was just perfect! The fabric pattern is classic and goes with almost anything, the leather details are wonderful and the brass bits make it really special. I like how I can use it over one shoulder or cross body for hands free shopping. It has a lot of room inside with pockets and zippered pockets outside to make it easy to find things. Those big zipper pulls are an interesting feature but they (and all the other brass) does add a bit of weight as well as an occasional jangle but I can tell already this one will be a favorite handbag for years!

This is the best bag I've had in a long while. The zippers are perfect for organization and also stylish. The leather is soft. I have scuffed mine a tiny bit, but I generally don't take great care of my leather. I get many compliments on this purse. The only downside, it can get heavy while wearing it for long periods of time.

This purse is gorgeous. I love it. Unfortunately, it's too small. I need to carry a file folder in it and that won't work. I measured the file folder and from the measurements given, it seemed it would fit. It didn't. I'm returning it unfortunately.

This is a beautiful bag, made of the softest, most buttery leather that I have ever experienced in a handbag! The zippers closing on opposite sides is a bit strange, but overall, I am very pleased with this lovely Fossil bag.

This bag has the typical Fossil look and feel. The quality is good although the hardware (zippers, buckle, etc.) make this purse pretty heavy. The bag is not quite as big as I thought it was. It will not hold very much stuff. It will not hold an iPad and your other purse items.

Nice bag, but the strap, though stylish and sturdy, weighs more than the rest of the bag. Also inside liner is black, making is difficult to find things, even though there are enough pockets to organize if you like it.

Too heavy! Nice style and well made, but unless you plan on carrying a credit card, DL, phone and lipgloss (in which case you don't need a bag this big), this will be extremely heavy with anything more inside.

I like the design of this bag but the metallic finish is a problem. It arrived with a tiny spot that looked like an ink spot. I was about to leave the country on business and didn't have time to return it. I dabbed it with water and sure enough I got something that looked like ink on the cloth. I decided I could live with it. But over the next few months more spots appeared and I realized it was the finish flaking off. It now looks awful. I would not recommend this finish.
