I have a wide foot (toe-box) and wide-ish calf, and this boot has more than enough room for me. The leather around the ankle folds in and digs into me on one foot, in a weird way, but I think I can get rid of this problem one way or another (even if it means adding a stiffener inside the boot to prevent this fold).

I ordered these (in red) very cautiously, after the conflicting reviews about the calf width. I got them in 8.5, which is a half-size above my usual, but often my choice for boots as I need a little extra room due to my feet being slightly wide. My right calf is just about 16 inches; the boot zipped on first try but was snug. My left calf is 16.5 inches, and it took several tries to get that one to zip, though it did eventually happen. The boots did stretch with wearing and I can zip them both now, but I won't be wearing any thick socks or tucking jeans into them. Basically, if your calves are over 16 inches or you want to be able to wear anything thicker than tights with these boots, caveat emptor. All that said, these boots are gorgeous, beautiful color and finish and quite distinctive with the buttons and pleating. The width in the foot seems fine and the rubber sole is quite comfortable, although I'll need insoles for arch support. I am glad that in the end these worked out for me, but there are plenty of people who'll get excited by the "wide calf" designation and then be disappointed by the reality, and that makes me sad, because even folks with big and muscular legs deserve stylin', comfortable boots, and for too many people, these won't be it.

I received the Miz Mooz Bloom in a timely manner, I like the feel to them - very soft. The packaging was great. Overall they look awesome, but looking in detail one had a tape stuck to them. I pulled it carefully and it took off some of the pleather of the boot. It's a small dent you might say but not enough to return the boots, now I wore them for a full day, the blooms felt comfortable it was like I was wearing sneakers, very comfortable they are true to size they made my foot look smaller and the height for me was perfect I am 5'1 in height. I like that the blooms are not all the way up to my knees. The buttons are the highlight as well, the price is another thing it is high for this somewhat pleather boot but overall if you are looking for a comfortable boot I do recommend these, if its the price that is another thing I would have bought Doc's - I wanted to have Miz Mooz for 5 years already and finally I made up my mind to buy more expensive boots to my collection.

These are very cute, very good quality, but the calf is too wide for me. Almost all boots are too tight in the calf for me, but these are too big for me to wear. FYI I measure my calf circumference right at the lower end of the size guide. I guess I'm just that awkward in-between size.

Oh, these boots are lovely. I've been eyeing them for a while and when the gray went on sale I got them. I'm a size 7 and they fit wonderfully and there is a nice gap around my calves. They are nice quality and comfortable. My only annoyance is they are darker in real life than they are on the website. Like charcoal gray. Not exactly what I hoped for.

I don't know why I ever thought these would fit over my calves. If you have even remotely athletic legs, there's a good chance these won't work for you, or at least not if you'd like to run skinny jeans inside of them. Super tight. Bummer because I love the style and can't find black wide-calf ones anywhere.

I am returning these oh so promising boots tomorrow. I am 5'2", petite, but with 15½" calfs. They did zip up but had a horrible muffin top effect going on above my calfs! The actual shoe portion of the boots looked very odd, especially by the top/toes area; they are so round and broad! If the calf area did fit better, and it ran much narrower by the toe area, I still would have returned them due to the fact they were stiff and hard. These are definitely blister boots!

I fell in love with these boots at first sight. I've been looking years for a pair of boots that will fit as I am very petite and have large calves. Well...I'm going to be looking longer. My calves measure about 15 inches around. These boots say that they are 16 inches at a size 7.5 but that measurements may vary by size. This I expect, and has been the source of frustrations in the past. I braced myself and crossed my fingers. Couldn't be that much of a difference could it? These are wide-shaft boots after all...I convinced my husband to let me splurge on them. Upon receiving the size 6, I hurriedly opened the box and tried them on. The height was perfect, the style was perfect, the color was perfect, the toe box was perfect. They wouldn't zip up. I measured the boots - less than 14". Really? Over 2" difference between a 7.5 and a 6?

I'm very happy with these boots. My calves measure 16" over my thinnest fabric jeans, and these boots fit. There's an elastic gore (? that little cut out triangle) at the top of the boot that stretches just enough that they are snug, but not uncomfortable. I am usually a size 6 1/2 or 7, I ordered the seven and they fit with room for socks. I will probably also use a thin insole since I need good arch support and this is pretty hard to walk on, I'm almost forty, so maybe there is something to what the other reviewer noted. There's good room in the toe box and these seem to fit well with my high arched, wide feet. I also like that the outsole is rubber since I walk outdoors a lot.

I’m surprised by so many positive reviews. I wasn’t impressed with the leather. They are cute and fit fine but the quality was not what I had expected.

I have wanted these for so long. But the wide calf was too wide, and I'm pretty sure the regular will be too narrow. there is little give in the shaft. It's also a bit tight and painful just above the ankle, where the boot needs to bend but doesn't bend well. I also think the combination of not-quite-to-the-knee height with the slight angle of the top edge of the boot just isn't going to be flattering on many legs. Sooooo disappointed.

Booooo! Now way I could get this zipped around my calves. Not even close. From the reviews and the information provided, it should have fit. Returning them.

Ok, so they're called 'wide calf', but trust me they are not wide calf. My calves are 16" and these are nowhere close. I didn't read all the info where it says the shaft is 14", so sort of my own fault. But still, the name is very misleading. Too bad because they were real nice otherwise, but sadly they have to go back.

I love these boots. They are comfortable but they are also just so nice to look at. I love the style and the color. However, I really question the quality. Not sure the zippers will last for long, they are cheap plastic and catch every time I use them. The leather is also not very high quality. But I love the look so will sacrifice quality and just hope they last for a season.

Like the reviewer from New Hampshire, I also pined over these boots for a couple years, and finally took the plunge to purchase. I thought that the wrinkled style would bode well for many wears over time, as leather loosens and starts to sag, but these actually look frumpy. The leather looks cheap. And the height hits at mid calf accentuating large legs. I am so bummed. I am 5'7", size 10 with muscle-y (with some chub) calves. The width was okay (just enough), I love the toe box and heel. These are funky, but not funky enough. They are nice, but not nice enough. I am so bummed.

Yes, they are super cute, but that's about it. They aren't a true wide calf at all, I couldn't zip them all the way up, and I can fit in some brands of "regular" calf boots. And for the price, they actually feel pretty cheap. I was expecting them to be a little sturdier, and the "leather" is very thin, and the soles are really hard. They do run true to size, I got a 7 and the foot fits fine, with room for regular socks. They are definitely getting returned, and I'm now wishing I didn't pay extra for rush shipping!

These boots are super cute and super comfy but they started to fall apart the second time I wore them. The sole separated from the heel of the boot I don't spend a lot of time on my feet so these were not abused. For the price I expect a better quality sole adhesion method. Because of this, I'm returning them.

I've had these 4 months and probably worn them maybe 3 times before one of the "buttons" fell off. I luckily found it and super glued it back on. Then on my 4th time wearing them, another one feel off but I didn't realize it until the end of the day and had no way of knowing where it was. I'm disappointed they seem to be cheaply made and now I have to wear them with a missing button and watch for others to make sure I don't lose any more. It's a shame, they are so cute and I got lots of compliments on them but I won't be wearing them very often now.

Really disappointed when I opened the box. I purchased these in both black and gray. They fit completely different. The packaging for the gray pair is disgraceful. Not in the original box, unzipped, and just thrown in there. Obviously it was returned. For a $200 pair of boots I expect something to be presented nicely and not just thrown around, etc. Definitely returning the gray pair.

Very disappointed. 16 1/2" width? Not even close. I measured: 13-14", maybe. I don't know why they advertise this as wide calf. I'm a solid 6.5 in every shoe I own but I could barely get my feet in these. And forget about zipping it. I'm so bummed. The style is amazing - exactly what I have been looking for - but it means nothing if I can't wear them. Especially for the price.
