I really like this bag. But it's not as sturdy as I thought it'd be. I use it for school, and within a few days of putting my heavier books in it, I realized that the shoulder strap was starting to pull away and fray from the bag. It's a cool bag, but not extremely practical for what I had in mind for it. It doesn't fit a decent sized water bottle, and it can't hold all my school supplies. But it is super snazzy looking, and I still use it nonetheless.

I loved the look and feel of this bag. However, it does not fit my 18oz water bottle very easily. It's as if the slot is too shallow. I almost lost my water bottle twice. The design could do with a padded slider on the strap to make wearing more comfortable. The issues I mentioned were big for me. I don't want a bag hurting my neck and I don't want to feel like I'm going to lose my stuff. Cool colors though and seemed to be very well made.

This is exactly what my son said he wanted but when it arrived it was too small. Looks like a man purse. I returned it and got the larger one.

I was looking for something between a large yet practical purse, and a small messenger bag. This is perfect for me. Highly recommended if you have similar needs. I docked one star for comfort only because there isn't any cushion on the strap and it's kind of uncomfortable to wear across the body after a while. I just sling it over one shoulder and it's great.

I bought this for my dad who spends most of his time outdoors. It's compact yet roomy and stain resistant! He absolutely loves it and uses it all the time.

I love the size and shape of this convenient bag. I've been using it instead of a purse and it holds everything I need for the day. I love the interior organization pockets. The color green is more kelly green in person than it looks on the computer. Looks almost teal in the picture but it's actually a very standard green. Still love it though!

I love this bag and will use it again as my purse. I had the minimass in yellow a few seasons ago and loved it. I lost it last summer and have been wanting a new one ever since. Perfect purse size. It easily holds wallet, book or 2, cardigan, pair of sandals, small cosmetics bag, cell phone, sunglasses, and a few other odds and ends. One zippered pocket on top, outer flap and one inside the bag. Neither zippered compartments are huge but are adequate to hold my small odds and ends (pens, small pad, eye drops, glasses, check book, etc. There are 2 more internal, open pockets (aside from the zippered one). One is mesh and I used it for holding my passport, gum, little note pad, granola bar, and keys (there is a clasp for keys). The other pocket is for a smartphone and it has a small velcro strap to secure your phone. There are also little slots for pens/pencils. There is one cupholder on the side of the bag. There's a large (open except for a small square of velcro)pocket on the outer, back side of the bag which is great for a folder, documents, etc. Strap length is easy to adjust. There isn't a shoulder pad on the strap, which some people have noted as a minus but I don't think this bag is large enough (thus, not heavy enough) to need a shoulder pad. Front flap attaches with 2 clasps, as you can see in the picture. No velcro under the flap, so the clasps are necessary if you want the top securely shut. I am returning the one I ordered because the "brilliant green" color is not at all what is displayed on the website (or on a couple of other websites I looked at). The brilliant green is what I would call a true kelly green. The color gives the bag a very 80s, hipster look, which is super cute but not what I was going for. This bag is not at all aqua, blue-green, or minty green, which are the variations I've seen online. I suspect that all of the colors are darker than they appear online. I am going to try the gray color next.

This is the perfect small bag! Plenty of places to put your phone, glasses, wallet etc. Well made. I have 3 of them and people are always asking about them. Great for travel. Very comfortable to wear as either a traditional pocketbook or across the body as a bike bag. The handle on top actually comes in handy. I find myself grabbing it as I leave the car. It holds a lot. I always carry my kindle along with my other stuff. No negatives!

This is a great bag. I used it for a week of exploring in Madrid. Perfect size for any daily needs.

Would love to keep this bag...comfy strap, just the right size with ample space inside. Plastic clips not sturdy enough and main compartment really should have a zipper.

This is a great little shoulder bag. It is perfect for a personal carry on, carrying a few magazines, a book, my i-pod and such.

I really like this bag; I like the internal pocket configuration, and I like the strap and handle on top for picking it up quickly. I was looking for a not-very-big messenger bag, and this definitely fits the bill. The only thing I would change about it is that the back "sleeve" type pocket is not quite big enough for a couple of magazines or a file folder of papers. If it's just one slim magazine or a few papers (in other words, not too thick), they will barely fit. If it was just a half inch bigger, it would still be the very compact messenger bag I like, but with a significantly better functionality.

I purchased this bag to hold my tablet and documents for work. It is the perfect size and has plenty of room for the charger, mouse, keyboard and still room for some other items. With this bag I don't need to empty out my larger laptop bag every time I need to take my tablet and accessories with me. Although I have only had this bag for a short time, I highly recommend it for it's size and durability.

It is small (like a shoulder handbag) but the correct size I was looking for. The bag is durable. I have the black and it has a good solid dark color. Great pockets inside. The strap can dig in a little bit.

Not so impressed. I bought this bag with the hopes of using it as my purse. The strap was very uncomfortable; its sharp edges cut into my shoulder. The hanging clip closures were awkward and slow during times when I wanted quick access to my belongings. I was hoping for a more secure closure - a zipper would have been great. As it is, if I tuck this under an airplane seat or toss it in the back seat of the car, things could accidentally fall out and get lost. I love patagonia, but this is not the bag for me.

So I bought this bag as a day pack for traveling to Turkey for four months and was so stoked about it. I loved the bright color and the size. However, upon receiving the bag, I was more than a little disappointed. The "Brilliant Green" bag is not bright teal, as it appears in this picture. It is actually kelly green, like really St. Patty's Day green. I was heartbroken and called customer service to see if there was a mistake, alas I was told the bright teal color is a photographer's error caused by "bad lighting" and that they don't make this bag in teal. I have decided to keep the green bag half-heartedly because as a bag, it is really great. It is well constructed and a perfect size. Just thought I should let you know that bright teal is but a pipe dream. Don't be led astray.
