This helps my trips back and forth to library. Holds about 12 books. Have received complements on its good looks.

As an independent contractor, I transport my laptop and accessories to and from my work sites daily. This bag lets me organize and tote everything I need, and is durable enough as carryon. My original bag is several years old, still works great, and I love it. Purchased a second one in the event that someday my strap holder might breakdown, and I don't want to be without this bag. I use this bag every day and I love it! It is the perfect size and easy to carry and maneuver on public transportation. I had the previous version of this bag for 8 years and it performed perfectly! The front pocket zipper finally broke after daily use and strain. I'm so glad I was able to get a replacement!

I use this bag to carry my stuff to work everyday day. I love the capacity because it doesn't crush by recently ironed uniform and can hold and organize all my personal knickknacks. The water resistance is marvelous so I don't have to worry about my multiple electronic devices being harmed by the rain. And the accessibility is perfect for the morning commute on public transportation. I feel that this bag is going to last me a good while. And i like that it doesn't hurt my back or shoulder, all the weight is distributed evenly throughout the strap where it makes contact with my body. #sweepstakes

This is a beautiful bag for the money, roomy, with plenty of compartments, and nice-looking. I intend to use it as my carryon for a long trip, to keep medications, electronic devices, and things I don't want in checked baggage. It's big but not bulky.

This durable, well-constructed bag is really cute with fun, vibrant colors. It is large, but the kids have to lug so much stuff back and forth to school. The Zappos staff was beyond accommodating when a problem occurred with our shipment. I will shop here again simply because the customer service was second to none.

My daughter is a counselor serving a low-income client base and carries a heavy load both literally and emotionally. I love this bag! It is very cute and practical! Lots of pockets for all your necessary items (even for a beverage and your cellphone or car keys!). The shoulder pad is very comfortable and makes carrying a heavy load easier. This bag is also padded on the inside which makes me feel more at ease for carrying my laptop in it! I would recommend this messenger bag to anyone (especially students)!

The High Sierra Tank Messenger Bag is made with heavy duty material, is great for holding my three large loose leaf binders with my hundred of songs, that take with me to practice. Love the shoulder strap.

I gave this bag to my son for Christmas. I have a High Sierra backpack, so I know it's well-made. He liked the size and the fact that the laptop section was padded.

I agree with the previous comments; however, the shoulder strap is my only complaint. The strap is too thin/narrow & gets twisted too easily. The adjustable shoulder pad does not aide in preventing the strap from digging into shoulder.

This bag, in and of itself is very nice. However - the strap leaves a lot to be desired. Very cheaply made strap. I will have to re-do it with something much more heavy duty. As it is, I don't see it lasting very long. Bag is beautiful though. Have gotten compliments on it.

First of all, it has a lot of thick foam padding on all the walls, that makes it bulky and reduces useful volume. The lid has even a thick plastic insert. All this helps to keep the shape of the bag, but makes it HEAVY. It has a main padded compartment that is quite narrow, and a huge pocket that is maybe larger than the main compartment, that is odd. It has a flat slot/pocket big enough for a laptop in this huge pocket, not in the padded main compartment, that is a really weird choice. Other pockets are also less than practical. The light gray "organizer" pockets are external, they are just covered by the lid, they are secured by inconvenient velcro pads, and cannot be trusted to hold anything valuable. I had a lightweight, slightly smaller Jansport messenger bag for years, and in comparison, I'm frustrated that this one is much heavier and much less convenient. Bad design.
