I love the backpack, but I haven't even had it a year (and that includes a summer where I wasn't in school and didn't use it) and one of the zippers already ripped. This is not a result of normal wear a tear because the thread just snapped on the laptop zipped pocket. This is not a spot that has a lot of strain so I don't understand it and I'm very disappointed that this expensive of a backpack didn't even last a year.

The padding on the backpack sucks, it's hurting my arms a lot specially with the amount of things I have to carry. I like the style, and softness but when it comes to weight I would not recommend that much.

weighty is light. Pattern is ok. Sleeve is comfortable but overall I don't like it. The design and material are very rigid. Not cute at all. I only kept it because I don't have time to do online return

Much smaller than anticipated. I love the style and pattern but don't think there would be enough storage for all of my books and other materials.

I love the campus backpack style, and use it for when I travel. It is great as a personal item on a plane, and can be loaded up with everything I need for my flight. The style and function remain the same in the Recycled Cotton. However, the cotton does not hold up well, and mine already had scuff marks on the front when I removed it from the box. This is not a good omen for how well the cotton will hold up. It feels flimsy and cheaply made.

The one pocket does not zipper all the way down. I don't care of this feature. Most of the other bags you can unzip all the way down to get things in the pocket easier.

I ordered a backpack thinking it was going to be bigger than what i was expecting looking back at the pictures i now realize that it's not even the actual backpack the girl in the photos is wearing.

Returned this immediately, it was so much smaller than I thought it would be. My Vera Bradley laptop case barely fit inside.

This is my 4th Vera Bradley backpack. I use it for work and love the pretty patterns, soft fabrics, and light weight. I also like the new design with a separate laptop compartment. However, I am very disappointed with the new plastic tabs on zippers that replace the old metal tabs with Vera Bradley ribbon. The plastic tab broke within the first week of use, leaving me with a tiny loop to work the zipper. I am returning this bag.

I've been buying Vera Bradley totes for several years. I use them daily for work and they have been very durable. I wanted to try the backpack to change it up a bit but was very disappointed. I liked the print and size but I've only had it for about 3 weeks and one strap is falling apart. Also top handle doesn't seem very sturdy so I avoid holding it from there to prevent it from tearing. I only use it to carry my work Surface-Pro which is very light.

I have bought many products from Vera Bradley so was disappointed that it either had a rip when I received it or I did something that caused it after first day of using it

I loved the way this backpack fit and the size. The patterns were so pretty at first. However, while using it in high school, the material started to tear on the straps and on the bottom of the backpack. One of the main zippers also broke. I wish the material was more durable.

I bought this with my own money at a Barnes and Noble before going to college. One of the little leathery tags quickly broke off the zipper. Little things like that don't faze me, so I just put a paper clip on it and didn't think much of it. However, then the strings from the stitching started appearing everywhere. By April, the zipper of the laptop compartment was detaching from the backpack, making it very difficult to use, and eventually, the zipper just came off the end. I had to put it on backwards and zip it down to get the compartment to close again, making it very impractical to use that compartment. I will definitely be looking for a more durable backpack.

I got this in August 2018 for college. I have a 1/2 inch binder, a small planner, 2-4 notebooks, a pen bag, calculator, and a laptop. The bottom is falling apart and it scares me to put anything additional into my backpack. Having classes with textbooks that require me to bring my textbooks to class everyday makes it so I have to carry them because I do not want to have to buy a new backpack.

The pattern looks really nice online, but when the product arrived in the mail, the material was stiff and brittle. I was excited to get this product because I had purchased some of the older versions of this backpack which were very practical and well made. The new patterns are nice but the material and execution of the actual new product could be better.

I got this backpack last summer and the zipper broke because the bag couldn't hold much stuff :(((( The fabric started showing a LOT of wear and starting tearing. Which is sad because these bags are SO cute! But aren't sturdy and won't last. I was hoping this bag would last a long time and take me through high school and college, buuuut it broke before not even a year!!! So Vera Bradley please, keep these cute designs but make them sturdier and bring the price down!! They are cute and all, but definitely won't last you long and will break very quickly!! Such a bummer :(((

I've had this backpack since July 2017. By December, it was already showing a lot of wear. Recently the fabric started degrading, and today my computer busted through the bottom. I'm guessing this backpack would be ok for lighter uses, but not for my college load.

I originally bought this with the intention of using it for three years. Much to my dismay the book bag wore out rather quickly. Within the first year the book bag was torn and falling apart. The book bag is very stylish and quite roomy but I would not purchase again. In my opinion when you buy this book bag you are paying for the name and the look not the quality.

Loved the looks but very uncomfortable. Was on the fence between this and the classic Vera back pack. I wanted to try something different, but should have gone with the classic. I am a size 8, but had a horrible time getting my arms in the straps no matter how loose I had them. There are no pockets on the inside, and water bottle pockets are not that deep so what ever goes in is not going to stay.

I have a Vera Bradley diaper bag and thought this would be useful for those days when I need my 2 hands to myself and could use this to carry some other stuff instead of a large tote...but the style is really very bad. The bag is boxy and looks more like a kid would take to school...not suited for a stylish adult I would add. I got a Kipling backpack instead and it looks cool and serves the purpose.
I'd also recommend:
Kipling

Color immediately started to fade when I started using it. I've had it for a year now, and was hoping it would last a while, but the fabric is worn through on the straps and back and it looks awful.

Broke in the less than 2 months of purchasing so contacted customer service. They were nice to refund money but now the bags are full price so can't get equivalent bag.
