These are beautiful boots but they are not a true 17 inch calf circumference. I have athletic calves from running that are about 15 and a half inches. I could not get these boots over my calves. The opening of the boot is 17 inches; however, the true calf of the boot is closer to 14 to 14.5 inches. I am so bummed because they are great quality and have a comfortable foot bed...just not for those who need a little extra room.

Absolutely love these boots! They are stylish and classy. They fit beautifully. I was skeptical about getting them, only because in all the reviews it said that the zipper is very noisy. I have to say they are right, the clicking noise drives you crazy; however, there is a very quick and easy fix. I put black hockey tape behind, totally fixed them. I love them! I would highly recommend.

These boots are so comfortable, sleek, and stylish. The leather is soft and the quality is great. One thing---the zipper in the back makes A LOT of noise when walking. I love the boots, but the zipper in the back makes way too much noise.

I really loved this boot when I ordered it, and still like the style. However, the ankle was much tighter than I anticipated (uncomfortably) and I have tiny legs! I couldn't go up a size as then they would be too large in the toe. Unfortunately, I have to return them but I wish they would have fit!

The boot makes so much noise when you walk due to a huge zipper on the back, very annoying. Other than that, the leather is very nice quality and the boot fits pretty well.

These boots are beautiful and well constructed. The height is perfect, thigh high for me (5'5"), though my heel slips out of the back. Unfortunately I am in between sizes. I could make the size 8 work with some thick socks and an insole, but the gold zippers in the back(and I do LOVE all the gold hardware) make so much noise while walking. Seriously. It's a problem and a pretty big design flaw. It's such a shame because I am absolutely in love with these boots. I have not been able to find another pair of thigh high, black leather riding boots with a low heel and awesome gold hardware (that doesn't jungle like crazy while walking). The search continues...

Good looking boot online; it looked a bit cheap though when it arrived. I have muscular calves so I could never tuck pants into this boot comfortably. Too bad.
