No pair of underpants is worth $38. Perhaps it's the cost of manufacturing in a western European nation (Portugal), or of being a product of a Swiss-Austrian corporation, but when I opened my package, I was so unbelievably underwhelmed, to the point of mild disgust, I thought immediately of sending it back. But I had already found the delivery to be environmental overkill (one tiny pair of underpants delivered in a giant cardboard box in the default one business day), and I had purchased this at a huge, huge discount so that I ended up paying just $9 for it. For $9, I'll save everybody the hassle of returns, but I'm still pretty pissed off that this is such a shameless ripoff. With the glowing reviews and the luxury price tag, I made the mistake of believing this would look and feel amazing, but I have found better, more flattering, and cheaper cotton underwear at Ross. I keep picking it up to stare at it, searching for some sign of amazing European design or craftsmanship, and I just keep wishing I had bought a 3-pack of cute Jockeys instead. If you have any sense about you, pass on this one. I'm just relieved I only lost $9 on this bland rag. One final important note for those who insist on buying this: please note that the size runs HUGE. I am 5'4", 140 lbs. and went for a medium because I have never in my life been a size small for underwear -- well, this was gigantic and barely clings to my hips. For once I would like a piece of cotton clothing to shrink in the wash, but mercerized cotton apparently tends not to shrink, so...

I was surprised by some of the negative reviews for the Hanro items. I've worn the panties and nightgowns for years and love them! The cotton is very high quality so, even though they are light weight, they wear extremely well. I also really like have cotton lace which is hard to find. The fit is pretty standard; for reference, I'm 5'4", 121 lbs. and I wear a Hanro small.

I've worn Hanro for years and I don't think you can beat the quality. I wash on gentle and use just a low heat to dry, and the cotton retains it shape with no pilling for years. I know they are pricey, but I feel they are well worth it.

These are my absolute favorites! The fit is perfect, so no creeping up and no tight spots. The fabric and lace are very soft. The surprising thing about these panties is that they last forever. I machine wash on warm and line dry, and they last for years.

Seriously love these underwear! These aren't my "sexy" underwear but they are my go to comfy underwear. They come up fairly high in the back but the fabric is so nice that it's actually really comfortable. It also eliminates any muffin top that other low rise underwear might give. These are great underwear for when you just want to be comfortable! They cost more than any other pair of underwear I own...and they have limited sex appeal...but I'll definitely be buying a few more pairs. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs, normally would buy a medium (in Victoria Secret) but a small in these fit me perfectly.

Comfortable and nice coverage without looking like grandma panties. I plan to order more of these.

True to size

Perfect fit, the best quality cotton and cut. Expensive but lasts for years. Simply a little luxury worth every penny.

I really hesitated ordering these due to the price, but I thought oh well, I can always send them back. They're not going back - the best fitting with the softest lace undies I've ever worn. Love them!

Expensive but well worth it. They are especially great for someone (like me) with "muffin tops." They are not too high or too low. Very soft too. I will buy more.

The Moments hipster is without a doubt the most comfortable pair of panties I have bought in eons. The fabric is cotton, but you would swear it was silk. The lace is substantial, not the thin, nylon "itchy" lace that some manufacturers use. And the cut provides good coverage, front and back. I am very pleased with the apparent quality of this item.

Hanro's all-cotton hipster underwear is soft, absorbent, does not show under tight clothes, and has non binding elastic. The nude color can be worn under all colors and the hipster style is comfortable. Microfiber is awful! Long live all cotton!

Excellent, comfortable and perfect fit. What I expect from Hanro, and I wish Zappos would carry more Hanro products, especially the big-T nightshirts. The products last for years -- I have had some almost 10 years and they function and look like new.

The Hanro products are amazing and well worth every penny for such perfection. Light, airy, feminine. They are everything the Victoria's Secret is not. So nice to see old-school quality still exists in this world. Yes, they are expensive, but I would much rather invest in quality than have a drawer full of cheap synthetic pretenders.

I finally broke down and ordered Hanro, figuring they would be the answer in my quest for high-quality cotton underwear. Sort of like leprechaun gold to find these days. For the price, these were a huge disappointment for me. SUPER thin fabric. I just don't see them lasting very long. They were relatively comfortable to wear, but I'm still on the search, and I returned the unworn pair that I'd ordered. Would have returned the pair I tried if I could!

The style is listed as hipster, but it is actually a brief. The picture shows that the underwear hits below the bellybutton, but on me it goes above my bellybutton. Also, the material doesn’t feel as soft as my previous pairs of Hanros - the fit and feel definitely is different.
