We were sent the incorrect size that was ordered. We ordered a size 38 and were sent a size 37.

I have owned 6 pairs of Birkenstock’s over the course of 30+ years. The first 2 pairs I owned finally gave out after 22 years. They really held up during that time with the expected need of replacing the soles when necessary. I wore them just about every day. Those 2 pair were suede. Fast forward to a couple of years ago. I purchased a pair of Arizona’s (taupe suede) and a pair of Boston’s (oiled leather). I still have both. The footbed is awesome, and they fit true to size. However, within 6 months of wearing them (and only a few times during the week), they developed black indentations on the inside where the straps meet the sole. DARK black marks. I’m not an over nor under pronator, and these were not worn in stressful conditions. Yes, they are going to show dirt/marks more because they are taupe, but the way these marks are showing up, it’s more of a flaw in either the suede itself, or the manufacturer has done something to compromise the integrity of the material(s). Whatever it is, I am extremely disappointed. The suede is just a joke. Definitely not the same suede as my first two pairs. I may consider getting another pair of Arizona’s in oiled leather but not before I consider other brands of sandals first. Paying this price is a bit much when it seems they’ve made some changes. Would I recommend these? Maybe but not the suede ones.

Returned my replacement defective pair and never got a refund. I’m out $140. Poor job Zappos

These shoes makes suction cup noise and they stick to my feet. Every where I go people turn around to see where that sound is coming from. I am returning these shoes.

I wear a US 7-7.5 and your program automatically upgraded me to an EU 38 which is far too large. Needless to say, they are both on their way back to Zappos.

I loved the shoe, I always where Birkenstock’s, so comfortable, but unfortunately I had to return this pair, there was some type of glue or flaw in the suede, which is unusual for Birkenstock’s. I’ll try again, because it is a quality brand, and always my favorite!

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. Have always loved Zappos. The sandals came in their box which was in a bag, not the normal Zappos box. The shoe box was all beaten up. The sandals looked like a return that was thrown back in a box, the straps were undone, the sandals looked worn. I was not about to put my feet in them. So upsetting as I was really looking forward to trying Birks

I take a 5.5 in almost all shoes and sandals. I ordered a 4/4.5 in these and they were huge. Had to return.

I have mild arthritis in my toes and was SO excited to hear Birkenstock now made cushioned soles. I used to love my old Birks. So….Birkenstock….can you actually tell a difference yourself? I put the new one on and the old version in my other foot and there is NO difference. Massive disappointment. So those thinking you are going to get any cushion, softness, bounce, whatever….don’t bother. They are hard as a rock. I even checked the box to make sure they send the right kind.

I am diabetic . The soles of these shoes were too hard for my feet.

Nothing like paying $140+ for a pair of Birks, that have been worn. Footprint in shoe, generic box, buckles all undone. NO thank you, you can take them back. Do better Zappos.

it was a perfect fit but it was damaged. Both of them the glue was falling apart. I have order other shoes and they came out perfect. I’m so sad. I wanted to take them on vacation.

I thought the "soft footbed" would be more comfortable than the hard cork footbed. Nope, still hard, not flexible, and not comfortable at all.

Felt like someone ordered these before me and stretched the leather out of place. Felt soiled on my foot, not flattering p. Definitely returning

Everything but the color of these sandals was wrong. Personally, I don't think these should be sold as unisex, they are a men's sandal in the regular/wide size. I have normal width feet but tried the narrow shoes first and they were much too small. I reordered in the same size but in regular/wide and they were HUGE - both in length and width. Even on the tightest setting the straps were huge and my foot slipped when I walked. The narrow vs the regular/wide sandals fit and looked like totally different sandals.

Shoes were returned. Looked great and one sandal fit well. Sadly on the top heel area of one sandal was a large blob of hardened glue.

Why has a size 35, advertised as a 4.5 - 5, become a size 6? Seems like even Birkenstock no longer makes shoes for those who are a true 5.

Everyone raves about these shoes, but I can barely walk in them. They throw me off balance and I don't like the sharp edge on the front.

I ordered a pair of Birkenstock sandals; however, I received a pair of Chinese knockoffs instead. I received a full refund from Zappos upon their return. My wife & I have ordered from Zappos before without incident, so this was unfortunate.

Had to return as shoe was missing buckle

I wear a 6.5, but for slides need to size up to 7 so right heel hits inside shoe instead of on edge so I ordered a 7-7.5, they were too big. So I bought 6-6.5, still too big. I have now just given up on this shoe. I like the style, but I need them to fit too.
