I tried 3-4 different pairs of sandals before deciding to stick with my usual - regular, soft foot bed Birkenstocks. I have wide feet and really do need the regular as opposed to narrow. These are comfy - virtually no break in time, but I’m used to these shoes. I like the black suede with black buckles - they look more sophisticated and understated compared to the big buckle versions.

I love these soft sole sandals. They're incredibly comfortable. I take exception to the reviewer (a man, no less) who suggested that the regular width sandals is only for really fat feet. The regular width Birkenstock is average width for men, and I prefer it over the narrow width, too. I am a woman with average-width feet. But I've avoided a lot of typical ladies' foot issues by wearing high quality well-fitting shoes. The footbed should cradle the foot, not squeeze it in. If the suede straps stretch with wear, just poke one more hole in them. It's easy. And it's better to have the footbed fit properly and adjust the straps accordingly. It's also better to leave factual reviews than rude ones.

Prefer this over Birkenstock’s hard leather. This is soft and comfortable from the start. Latte is a great neutral color

I wear a 9 1/2 narrow and my few current Birkenstocks are size 40. I decided to try a size 41 because my heel was right to the end in them and the 40’s fit much better. I tried maybe 4 different styles and decided the best fit for comfort was the Arizona. Happy I found a good fit.

I wear a US women’s size 8; however, I wear a size 38 in Birkenstocks. 38 fits perfectly. These shoes are wonderful!

I absolutely LOVE Birkenstocks! I bought this pair to replace my other Birkenstocks that had gotten worn down (after about 3 or 4 years). If this is your first time buying them, be sure to give them time to form to your foot! They can be a little uncomfortable until they get broken in, but once they are broken in, they are soooooo comfortable! Trust the process and I promise it will pay off!

My husband has foot issues and swears these are the only things that feel good to walk in.

My first pair of Birkenstocks. Did online chat with customer service, I orderd black, size 39 because I told them I wear an 8 in athletic shoes and 7 in UGG's. Well, 39 was huge. A little over an inch too long. So, I did another online chat. Jennifer was wonderful. She advised me to order 37 and was so patient with all my questions. Received the 37's and they fit perfectly. Once they suede stretches a little, will have to punch holes as they are on last holes now. I have feet issues and should have purchased these sooner. Suede is soft and so is footbed. Very comfortable. Will be purchasing another pair soon.

Loved these shoes, but my toe box is a little too wide for the narrow. The length is perfect according to size chart (woman’s 12 got the 43) but even though I’m a standard width, my toes rode up into the ledge on the side. If you have a moderately wide toe box, get the regular. Returning for the 43 regular.

Thanks to the reviews I ordered 37 and they fit like a glove, the suede leather is so soft. I am a true 7.5 size and this black suede in 37 are just perfect. Shipping was great too. Thanks Zapppos

I wear a six, and it said order true to size, which would've been the 37, according to the chart, but having made this mistake ordering these in the past for my daughter, who also wears a six. I ordered the size 35, and it is perfect. It says this is for regualr size 4-4.5, but fits exactly like a 6 should fit, the 37 was way to big

I’m a true size 12 so the shoes are a bit big but I don’t mind. I bought the Birkenstock’s because I like the big, chunky fit. Very comfortable and no break in period. I wear them basically all day now, especially with WFH still in full swing. Look great with any pair of shorts and t-shirt/polo. I can’t recommend them enough.

I usually wear size 7. So I ordered 7-7.5/38 narrow. Well, the sandals were way too big. I returned them and got 6-6.5/37 (barrow as well) instead. Perfect! So be aware about the size. Other than that the sandals are great. Once I got the right size the fit, widths, arch support are really good.

If you have long toes they’ll feel funny at first but overall very comfortable for big and flat feet.

I needed to try on the regular and the narrow fit at the same time. After doing this, I was able to determine that I did need the "regular" fit. Absolutely love that this is ok with Zappos.

Love my Birkenstock’s! This is my 2nd pair of the soft footbed. I’m having issues with my metatarsal in my right foot so the soft footbed style are the ONLY shoes I wear aside from my running shoes. I ordered the narrow based on the fact that it’s a unisex style. Admittedly when I put them on out of the box BEFORE buckling them they looked/felt very narrow. However, after I adjusted the buckles they are perfect! The suede Straps are not as thick as others but are buttery soft. No break in period with the soft footbeds!

Finally, I have a perfect fit and comfort. I normally wear a 9m and found that the narrow width is the closest to my usual medium. This can be confusing when choosing. I have sent several pairs back and am thankful that Zappos has the return policy to allow this. The suede is supple and the footbed will be my own footprint with several days of wearing. Birkenstock’s are expensive but last for years. They cured my plantar fasciitis years ago by wearing them in the house year round. Wearing heeded boots while teaching. I wear them with socks around the house in the winter. This gives my arch the support it needs. I have happy feet!

I usually wear a 9.5 Wide but tried these shoes on in a store and knew the Birkenstock 40 Narrow would fit me. I suggest the "narrow" width even for those with wide feet because the shoe is more like most shoes in appearance as opposed to the regular width that flares out like ducks' feet. The straps have buckles that allow you to adjust the width. The 40 allows my feet to fit inside the "soft footbed," which is really not very soft, more like cork. It is important to up-size if you are a half-size like me because these shoes have hard edges around the outside that you do not want your feet to sit upon. The suede was mentioned in other reviews saying that the suede breaks in faster than leather and I picked the tan because it wouldn't draw attention to my feet. Why I bought Birkenstock was because I had trouble with plantar fascitis a year ago and my foot doctor suggested Birkenstock and other shoes that do not bend because they are more supportive. I wear them around the house.

If you are confused about sizes / widths, remember this Arizona Bork is UNISEX. I am a size 8 in pretty much any brand but in Birkenstock’s, I always go a size down and get a 38 (which says 7-7.5). The narrow width is meant for women since again the shoe is unisex (regular is meant for men or women with wider feet). This is my second pair of Birks, I also have the Mayari and this Arizona soft footbed is amazing and so comfy!

I had not realized that in the past I had been wearing a narrow version of Birkenstock Arizonas. The Regular width soft footbed fits my foot like a glove and I enjoy walking with them. Great support!

I normally wear a 7.5, I am a 37 Narrow in Birkenstock’s and they are a perfect fit. These are a summer staple for me!
