I’m a long time fan of Birks so I hoped my size would be the same. Several years ago I had heel spurs and plantar fasciitis and lived in my Birkenstock’s. My feet healed and gradually stopped wearing them. I tried an old favorite of mine(the Arizona) on at my daughters and immediately remembered how they felt. I got my new ones yesterday and the awesome memories of the fit and perfect arch were not a disappointment! I’ve missed them and am so glad to have them back! Thanks Zappos!!

I ordered the 38 Narrow and it was perfect. I normally wear a 7 regular width and a 7.5 regular width in sneakers. The 38 narrow is perfect. The 38 regular was too wide and flopped around on my foot.

I am leaving the country for six months and desperately needed a new pair. To me it looked as if they were worn and then returned. Unfortunately I don’t have time to make a fuss and return them. Other than receiving used sandals they are wonderful. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for about 25 years and love them. For shoes I wear Dansko. I have never had an issue with Zappos before and will continue to shop with them after I return. I thought you should be aware.

Thank you Birkenstock for making narrow and small sizes - and for Zappos for carrying them. These are more steam-lined as the regular ones, they're VERY comfortable, I'm a convert.

I really like these! The narrow fits me barely and I'm trying to decide if I should just get the regular width. Those don't feel that much wider, but are less snug on my feet. Straps are much more comfortable than the oiled leather.

What can I say...they are Birkenstocks!!! Comfortable and love the gray suede.

Like an old friend, Birkies are the best. After 20+ years, I ordered another pair of AZ. However, I mistakenly ordered "narrow". Stick with what you know.

It is shameful that Birkenstock has changed the sizing on these shoes, I have worn Birkenstock all my life, I am almost 67, and now have to find other brands! Size 11 Narrow used to be perfect and now it is totally different, WHY??? Leave things alone that work, fix the things that are broken!!! The band at the toes is so wide that it cuts into the toes and because it runs so wide you have to have it tight... There are few things that were NORMAL and now the normal is not anymore.

I love these Birks! It's hard to wear anything else after finally getting a pair of these for myself. Comfortable and good looking. My only wish is that there were more colors available. Pink, purple or turquoise would be great!

I have an extra-wide foot that needs the arch support that Birkenstock (unisex) offers me. I also like the colors that this style offers. Birkenstock with the wide toe box, arch support in the correct place, with colors that I like, fits my needs exactly.

Remember when ordering, their narrow width is not super narrow. I consider my foot average to slightly narrow. The medium width is super wide to me. 37 medium and 38 narrow are the same length but the 38n is just not so wide.

I wear a medium and ordered the narrow as suggested. It fit perfectly. I ordered these because I got plantar fasciitis and walking barefoot is a cause. I wear these around the house, and they provide a lot of support and helped immediately.

The new Birkenstocks felt just as comfortable right out of the box as did the 10 year old ones that are now going to be yard shoes.

I have rheumatoid arthritis in my feet & have had multiple foot surgeries. These are the only sandals I can wear. I bought my last pair about 20 years ago but they had seen better days! These do have an arch that is too high for my flat feet but I hammered it down a bit & they are breaking in really well. I also tried the same style in leather & they would have taken too long to break in with my sensitive feet—the suede is soft & comfortable so only need to break in the footbed. I normally wear an 8W & ordered the 38 regular & it fits really well.

Perfect. I had this same shoe previously and the stories it could tell. I wore them until they are now my gardening shoes. So glad to be able to replace. Love the color, love the comfort and suits my lifestyle of comfort. Birkenstock’s are the best!

These are possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever own. The softbed and suede are so soft and comfy. The color is perfect. I went with the narrow after reading several reviews, and I'm glad I did. Definitely a great fit. I cannot recommend these shoes enough.

Softbed sole is so worth the little extra. The suede leather makes the sandal ready to wear...no breaking in new leather. 3 rd pair I own.

I purchased the narrow size 38 and they fit my foot width great. However, they are slightly shorter in length than my regular size 38. So keep in mind you lose a little length when you choose the narrow size. For me, that wasn’t a problem but when walking, my toes touch the front sole lip and it was annoying at first but after a few days of wear, I no longer notice. The first pair I ordered had a big glop of glue over the front lip so I ordered a replacement pair. Side by side, the suede was pretty different...one pair had nappier and dirtier looking suede than the other. Luckily the non-defective pair had the nicer leather. Another curious issue that I read about in other reviews is the noise the shoes make when walking...subtle foot farts is the only way I can describe it. I don’t think anyone around would notice it but I can feel the air being pushed out from under my arches so I am tuned in to it. Never had that problem with my other Birks - so I am assuming it has something to do with the flexibility in the soft footbed as this is my first pair with this feature. Overall, I love them. Love Zappos, too. Especially for shoes like this because you can order multiple pairs until you find the exact right pair for you and return the rest.

Now I see why so many people have loved Birkenstocks. They are very comfortable and continue to improve as I wear them. I recently tried the standard hard bed sandals, but my feet were too sensitive. The soft bed was better for me, and suede upper straps were softer as well and helped me to feel right at home. I took a 2 mile walk in them shortly after receiving them. Turned out not to be the best move as I developed a blister from the inside of the instep strap on one foot. I discovered a rough spot on the inside where the suede had been cut into its normal shape. A little time we’ll spent with an emery board smoothed our the inside of the strap and solved the problem. Many thanks to the efficiency and flexibility of Zappos (as always!) since I had to try several styles and two sizes before finding my present comfy and supportive pair. I look forward to a long time of comfortable wearing. Again, kudos to Zappos. The sandals do run quite wide, but I knew that before ordering them based on previous reviews.

After a bit of trial and error, I've finally found the right fit for me in these shoes - yay! At the end it was a toss-up between the 40 Regular and the 40 Narrow. I liked the snugness of the narrow, but my small toes hit right where the cork footbed bends at the end so I knew that would bother me. The regulars were just a tad wider so my toes fit much better at the end. I figure if the suede straps stretch out at all, I can just add another hole for the buckle. The arch support feels like it's going to be great for my over-pronation problem - I can definitely feel it keeping my feet in line so much better. I'm looking forward to ordering these in different colors now that I know the right size.
