As usual, Zappos provided quick service. However, I was greatly disappointed to find that the QA had slipped: the footbeds of the sandals showed the impressions of bare feet! Accordingly, I was not willing to try them on, so I am unable to give true comments on the fit and how I felt about them (I was forced by the evaluation form to put something down in order to submit this review). My two previous pairs of Birkenstocks came from Zappos in pristine condition, but after this experience I'm not sure whether I wish to order another pair from Zappos; perhaps I should instead buy them from my local shoe store, which is able to ensure that its customers' feet aren't bare when they try on shoes.

I bought these Birks to continue my recovery after a foot injury. They’ve been very therapeutic in restoring the flexibility of my arch, and are very comfortable to wear. I love the way they look -got them in black- but I do wish they came in more styles -Kyoto- in my size -39.

I have a narrow foot so I tried the narrow versus the regular and it was way too narrow and too small. I returned for the regular and fit perfectly. The narrow must be for veryyyyy narrow feet.

The new sizing is very different. My old Birkenstocks (only a year or so old) were a 40 regular. I read that they changed their sizing but ordered the same thing and they were too small. Gave them to my daughter and went to a store to try some on and what ended up fitting was a 41 narrow. I recommend trying them on in person if you haven’t been fitted with the “new” sizing before you order online.

I kind of liked it but want something nicer. Thanks for wonderful service. The fit is good and fits well for a narrow foot. My biggest issue is that I have to have it on last hole to buckle and that could mean it will stretch out too much. It was a good try.

The workmanship was excellent, as would be expected from Birkenstock. The style was admirable. However, the ARCH support was more than I could bear. Too high for my feet, and made the sandals impossibly painful to wear. Someone with a high arch, or high tolerance for pain might do better.

So comfy!!!

I never thought I’d wear Birkenstock’s but I bought my first pair last year and wore them all summer long. Just bought my second pair! They’re so comfortable and easy.

Loved the color and soft footbed. It was simply too narrow for me. I need regular width. I just wish it came in a soft footbed.

I absolutely love these Birkenstock’s! They are SO comfortable. I wear a 9.5 in women’s, and oddly enough I wear a 41 in the regular footbed Arizona’s. But.. the 41’s felt big. So glad I sized down to a 40. These are the best and I’m so happy with my purchase! Zappos truly has the best customer service!!! I loved being able to get my sizing just right and then return the bigger pair.

Color (latte) was much more brown than the photo - it appears almost buttery yellow in the picture, but definitely is, well, latte. But I returned them because of the cheap plastic buckle. It adds nothing to what are, basically, an ugly shoe that you wear because it's stupidly comfortable. But the plastic felt brittle and nothing like the durable metal buckles on other colors. I was worried I'd break it in the first week, since I usually have to tighten the straps three times while they break in as the suede stretches. Very disappointed.

Love these sandals and own 3 pair in different colors.

I love Birkenstocks & have had many over the years. I wear a 39 & have a slightly wider foot. I have regular & wide Birks & can adjust but this pair is super wide. My foot slips out on the tightest notches. They are unisex but I've had other too without this issue. I think I will make new holes in the straps.

This shoe is WONDERFUL. I have worn a black pair for over a year and they are still as confortable as the first day wore them. I have a problem with swelling in my feet and these shoes are Perfect. I can always rely on ZAPPOS when it comes to odering my Birkenstock shoes. Thank You.

Love this shoe. Great arch support. Well made. Look good. But had to return. I wear a 71/2 N. This is not a narrow shoe. With buckles adjusted to smallest size and wearing medium weight socks, my feet would still slide forward as I walked. So disappointing.

I have these exact Birkenstocks that I bought about a year ago in a different color. I wanted to get another pair and they are about 1 inch wider. Of course they need to be returned. I guess there is no standard sizing in the shoes. I’m so disappointed.

I love the Arizona Soft Footbed sandals and have a few pair, but I wanted a suede upper since my feet are getting more sensitive as I get older. I was looking for a light colored, neutral sandal and I ordered 3 different Arizona Soft Footbed sandals in 39N - the unisex Taupe, the women's Stone Coin and women's Faded Khaki. In case others are trying to decide on the right color, I have included a photo of the 3 side by side (from left to right in the pic they are Faded Khaki, Stone Coin and Taupe). Here is what I learned: * The unisex sandal was wider than the women's sandal in the same size. The suede had a more pronounced nap to it. *The Stone Coin has a gray undertone *The Faded Khaki has a green undertone. The women's fit me better than the unisex and ultimately I decided against a light color (I think it will be too hard to =keep clean) and went for the navy blue.

I`ve been wearing Birkenstocks for 30 some years and the last few pairs I`ve bought have been size 39 when the pairs I used to buy were size 40. The sizing charts say the 39 is an 8-8 1/2 which is a full size smaller than what I normally wear in any other shoe. Just an observation that I have made recently, for anyone buying their first pair. Still love Birks!!!
