I've always wanted to have a pair of Birkenstock's but can't seem to find a pair that fit my feet well. I understand over time they mold to your foot but how can I wear them enough to see if they eventually fit well but still return them if they don't?! Isn't the policy to return them unworn? Ugh - so frustrating but totally understandable. I absolutely love the grey velvet color but have tried the 39 and the 40, both returned. I think I need a 39.5. lol All of you who wear Birkie's and love them - I'm so jealous!

Suede is really soft, raps around your foot really nicely. But it could be a little too soft to support your feet in place. witch I kind of felt I need a little bit stronger support to hold my feet. Birko-Flor upper one might work better.

I ordered size 37 which was described as size 6/6.5 but it fit more like a size 7. I would exchange for a 36 to get closer to a 6/6.5 size.

I have always worn Size 38 in Birkenstocks. It may be just me, but it seems like the sizing has changed and are now running big. I tried on 4 different size 38s in different styles and they were all too big. I ordered a 37 and they fit.

Love these so I’ll keep them. But they don’t seem like a “narrow” width which I ordered. I have another pair (in narrow) and these are wider!

Great sandle but they are staining my feet.

I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks forever… For some reason I wasn’t sure if I should get narrow and I kind of wish I had. The foot bed fit perfectly but I did need to take them to the local cobbler to get more holes punched as they were a little loose across the top

I love Birkenstock Gizeh and have a couple pair that I wear nonstop. Wanted to try the Arizona style. Soft footbed and soft suede super comfy. Black is gorgeous but exchanging for the same shoe in taupe so they are more versatile to wear throughout the year. Size- I am normally a 9.5 or 10 with slightly narrow foot. The 40 narrow was perfect width but a smidge short. Same shoe in 41 narrow just too long.

Normally wear size 7, the 37 regular width fits great. Straps stretch over time and do get a little loose. Love these overall.

I wish I could keep them because they were so comfy, sadly they fit me slightly small and I should know better since I’m regularly 12 in sandals and I ordered 11-11.5, besides that they’re pretty cool.

Love Birkenstock’s . Iv had a pair for years so the sizing writing on the sandals wore off . I’m usually 8.5-9 on shoe size . So I ordered 8-8.5 and they were just a half size too big . No big deal called Zappos and their amazing consumer service helped me order the next size down.

The shoe fits great. The more I wear it the more I love it. They are comfortable. They do stretch I had to make the buckle tighter.

First of all, Kudos to the Customer service department. I tried three pair of sandals before settling on these. I really wanted a smaller strap size, since these strap have always seems quite large to me. However the previous pairs that I tried cut across my toes un-mercilessly. These soft foot bed sandals are super comfortable, will be great friends in no time. The blue leather is beautiful and different, they were true to size, I wear a 9.5/40 these were a great fit right out of the box. Super adjustable straps make the regular width extremely versatile. Thanks Zappos!

I should have listened to the other reviews and gone with a narrow size. I usually get women’s wide shoes but these regular ones are very loose. I think I would not even take them off if they were tighter. I plan on purchasing a new pair this spring but will go for the narrow size and update how the fit feels.

I was dumb and didn’t measure my foot as suggested before I ordered the “regular” width. After wearing them for a week and having to put the buckles on the last hole, I realized they are just too big. The size was correct (39), but I sent them back and exchanged for the same in a “narrow” width.

Overtime it gets loose so i would recommend to get w size half less of exact size you have.

Needed to go down a full size. I did not find them too wide when I went from a 37 to a 36. Overall OK, but Naots fit my feet better.

Higher arches beware. With these I've learned that soft footbed Birkenstocks are for folks with flatter arches. My high-arched feet felt no support whatsoever in these. These were also slightly shorter in length than any of the original footbed Birks that I've ever owned. These sandals look great but I'll be returning them for the original footbed Arizona.

Not the cutest or most flattering shoes but that's not why you wear them! They are the single most comfortable shoes ever made!

Buyer beware, the soft footbed has less arch support than the regular Birkenstock footbed. I have very flat feet, no arch, and the regular Birk footbed is a dream come true. I bought the soft footbed version thinking that i would have the same amazing support with just extra cushioning. These definitely have moderate support-the Birk website explains that but it's not that clear in Zappos description.

I received these about two weeks ago and I have been wearing them pretty often. They are still a little stiff but they are much more comfortable now than when I first got them. Give them time, they will soften up once they have had a chance to conform to your foot. You can also get tips on first time use from the Birkenstock website which help.

Not as comfortable as I expected. They are too hard for me to walk for long but are ok for a few hours. The soft bed is not as soft as expected either.

You put your feet in them and walk around. They don't fall off unless you walk like John Cleese in the Ministry of Funny Walks. The soft footbed is an improvement over the cement/cork hybrid footbed that regular Birkenstocks are made of.

I love this shoe, and have several in different colors. The size is consistent and the shoe is very comfortable My only complaint is that the black dye rubs off on my feet every time I wear them. I've never had this problem with any other Birkenstock, and I've worn them for years (like 35 or 40 years -- I'm an old hippie).

I love this style of Birkenstocks. Order a new pair every couple of years. This year, I ordered the usual style/usual size in black. Fit is consistent with previous shoes in the same style. I gave this 4 stars overall only because the black rubs off on my feet. It washes right off, but is annoying. I will go back to my usual tan shades next time.
