I bought these shoes ~8 months ago and they now have a hole in the left sole. I love them, but shoes should definitely not wear out this quickly! Such a shame... would have purchased more for sure!

Have other Reef shoes that fit perfect in 11. These seemed to run a 1/2 large for me. Great looking shoe.

The shoes fit great and look good but they aren't the best quality. I have had them for around a year but have only been wearing them for 4 months or so. In that time both pairs of laces included with the shoes have broken and the sole is starting to come off. I wouldn't mind it so much however I can not find the laces in the same colour (brown) and I can't get in touch with customer service through email as they haven't responded yet, days later.

These a great shoes, but the laces fall apart without much abuse and the company has made it impossible to acquire just a simple replacement pair of laces which you need for the shoe to be what you bought them to look like. Very disappointed with the lace policy because you are left with shoes that haven't been fully used just because the laces don't survive very long...

I have owned at least six pairs of these shoes over the years. They are practically the only shoe I have worn for years as they were just comfortable and stylish. The latest pair I purchased had a different footbed and the shoe just felt different. Much tighter than all the previous pairs. After approximately 3-4 months I noticed the leather starting to tear from the sole. Then it happened on the other shoe as well. Never experienced this on any of the previous pairs. I am starting to come to the conclusion that Reef has sold out the quality of their products in order to boost profits. When I contacted Reef, they agreed to send me a gift card in order to purchase a new pair. There are multiple posts/reviews from customers that have experienced the same issue I have. It’s sad to see a great product “fall apart” from greed! Beware!

These shoes are comfortable and look great but the sole is made out of a very flimsy material that wears down incredibly easy compared to most shoes. It's not like I'm cross training in these. The left sole is wearing a hole in the upper center of the foot after only 5 months of use. Maybe a gum bottom would be better? I would love for reef to update this shoe with a new sole design that it practical. Maybe ditch the wave design on the bottom because it just wears off after the first month. This shoe could be great, but falls short. Especially for the amount of money they cost $$$ (would've added an image but I couldn't get it to work on my phone)

Bought these less than a year ago, not used very heavily, but have fallen apart already! Excellent for comfort and look. But they part mid foot between the leather and sole. Not what you would expect for the price

This shoe purchase replaced my one year old, worn out Reef shoes - same size, same exact style - no difference between the new shoe and the old shoe. EXCEPT - the new shoe is noticeably narrower than the old shoe and pinches my feet. The new shoe also smells bad - a vinyl/plastic smell. Seems the Reef shoe is not the quality it once was AND certainly has changed it's standard for size. Cannot recommend this shoe now. The one they made a year ago was true to size and very comfortable and did not stink.

I had three pairs in the last 4 years. One pair in 2014. They were awesome. Lasted a year and an half. Decided to buy another pair early summer of 2016. They were destroyed within 5 months. Asked for a replacement from the online store where I bought them and got directed to Reef Canada. Reef never returned my calls (because you have to contact them by phone only). For some reasons, I decided to buy another pair just before summer 2017 but this time at a local store. Wore them for work (I work in an office) for three months before the leather separated from the sole. Exchanged the pair at the store for the same model. The replacement lasted a month and an half (I wish I was kidding)... Returned the replacement and got an in-store credit. Never again.

Love the actual shoe but when the laces fall apart and fray it makes the shoe unusable especially if you cant find a replacement shoe lace.

I've had these for less than three weeks and have only worn them around my office. Like some other reviewers, I've found the quality to be horrendous. I've never had a pair of shoes fall apart this quickly. It's too bad, because I like the looks of them and they are very comfortable.

I bought these shoes 8 days ago, literally Sunday the 13th and today is the 21st. I wore these shoes to work for 5 days, mind you I work in an office, and the sole on the left shoe is 80% removed from the bottom of the shoe. I sit at a desk all day, paper shoes would have lasted longer and cost a fraction of the money.
