The glass is very thick and sturdy as is the silicone covering. The cap, straw, and bite valve are all made of plastics and silicone...so it kind of defeats the purpose of having a glass container. I bought just a plain Camelbak lid for $5 on Amazon because I don't like using the bite valve. If you need something to use while exercising (drinking while running, for example) then this is probably the best option. I just wanted something to use at work and to carry around during my day and this works great for that.

Love this water bottle! Keeps liquids cold, it does sweat but it's glass so you would expect this. Best camelbak I've ever bought and great price! Thank you Zappos!

Awesome product! I have been very pleased with this water bottle! The glass keeps the water cooler on hot days, cleans up much nicer than the plastic bottles. The only downside is that it is heavier when full, but reasonable - not a pain to tote around!

I love this! I drink 100% more water now and the carrying finger hold is awesome, I dropped it 2 times on concrete - once holding it (4ft?) and then fell out of my car. Nothing cracked! Also drop it on carpet all the time. The only problem is that the mouth piece isn't staying down and I don't know why, it's causing it to leak a little bit, but I have the blue one too so no bigger the leaker is just for hikes! The ability to take it apart is awesome because it never gets gross. I only drink water in it but drink all my Essential oils from it too (in water).

I am really happy that I purchased the CamelBak Eddy Glass bottle. I only use this product for water, though I have heard colleagues concerned about the difficulty cleaning the suction valve when using other liquids. It did take me a couple days to get used to the bite-valve, but know that I have, I love it and believe I drink more water throughout the day because of it.

Glad I decided to get the glass bottle to replace the plastic. It is quite a heavier, as expected, but worth it for the peace of mind. The straw is shorter than in other versions - by about .5 inch - so you can't get to the last drops that you know are in there! I have not dropped it yet so can't comment on the protection of the silicone sleeve. The sleeve makes it a very tight fit in my car's cup-holder. All in all I recommend it.

Just got it today and I'm excite to wash it and use it. I like the idea of the glass because then I don't have to worry about double rinsing after it comes out of the dishwasher. I personally feel like with plastic container you can taste and smell the soap used in the dishwasher. Only complaints I have is I wish it had the measurements on the side of the bottle like my other Camelbaks. And it looks a little bulky at the bottom (it has the protective silicone cover on) so I'm pretty sure it's not going to fit in a standard cup holder

Bottle looks very nice and is great quality. Bottle sweats alot and did NOT come with a straw as shown. I prefer the ones with straws so I was a bit disappointed. If the cap is not closed VERY tightly then it leaks and you will have water everywhere. For the money, I would probably choose the plastic ones over this one.
