These were for my husband. He's a bigger runner (6'4" and 200+ lbs.) so, as he puts it, he needs "truck tires." He had been running in a New Balance shoe that he loved, but they discontinued it so he decided to try these after reading about them on someone's blog about big runners. So far, he has had no complaints. He's put a lot of miles on them training for the NY marathon and they've been supportive and held up under the pounding.

I have foot and leg issues a plenty, nothing seemed to help with the aches and pains until I was talked in to trying the Alchemy 12, improvement started after about a week of wearing. They are not a miracle shoe but will give some comfort to those tired aching feet. Give them a try - you can't go wrong. I have tried Asics and Brooks but overall I like these the best.

I started out as a non-runner, due in large part to foot issues, and my physician recommended a quality motion control shoe. After a stop in to have my gait analyzed this was the shoe that came back as the top recommendation, and I have not been disappointed. I don't log crazy mileage, but did train (and complete) my first marathon in 2010 and was very pleased with the way that shoe held up over time. I'm now on my third pair, and so long as Mizuno continues to keep this shoe relatively constant, I wouldn't even consider another shoe. That might be a mistake, but if it works well I have no need to go tinkering with it.

My husband has these shoes and just loves them. He is now on his second pair of this exact style. From what he's experienced with his wide foot, this is a great fit. He has plenty of room throughout the foot and especially the toe box area, which he had problems with in a few other shoes. He always talks about how comfortable the shoes are.

I had been wearing Asic Gel Nimbus 13s which I loved because they provided a lot of cushion and wiggle room in the toes (I got them in EE). I bought the Asic Gel Nimbus 14 and they had a totally different feel so I gave the Mizunos a try. I have been running indoors in them for about 2 months and I think they are great. Not quite as much cushion as the Nimbus 13 but still plenty of support to absorb the shock and toe room a plenty. This is my first pair of Mizunos and I would highly recommend them. I also have pretty sensitive feet so I'm very finicky about my comfort level when buying shoes.
I'd also recommend:

Nice shoes but after making the move to a minimalist running shoe these were just too big and bulky to use. They looked a little slimmer when I was ordering them, but they're definitely a motion control shoe as advertised.

I have had at least 40 different pair of Mizuno Wave Alchemy and they have been great. I used to get running injuries from my last shoe and I have had not a single shoe related injury at all from the Wave Alchemy.

These are great shoes, run a little small, so I had to get a larger size, but they feel great and I enjoy wearing them.

I'm currently burning through my fifth pair of Wave Alchemy shoes (I started at version 9). Eac pair has been consistently high-quality and has stood up to 500-1000 miles apiece of road and trail running. Good for my flat feet and overpronation, they've been kind to my ankles, they're light and well-aerated, and have generally been a worthy choice.

Although I'm a girl, I was fitted for these shoes at my local running store because of my wide/flat feet. While obviously I'm not the biggest fan of the color scheme (and still slightly bitter about having to wear guy shoes), the Alchemy 12 is crazy light and comfortable for being a motion control shoe. They're definitely a step up from the brick-like motion control shoes I'm used to, and I would highly recommend them to any overpronator with flat feet.

Very nice running shoe for the big guys. Very solid shoe with the right fit and good support without being too cusioned. Great shoe.
