This is an awful shoe stretcher! It broke after one use. I thought it was defective, so I returned it. The exact same thing happened with the second one.

It would have been a great shoe stretcher, if the center plastic piece wouldn't keep breaking. I was trying to use this as carefully as possible, since the reviews before me mentioned it breaking easily. I thought I'd take my chances. Unfortunately they were all right. I think if they spent a little bit more money on design & construction of this stretcher, it would work so great.

I bought the shoe stretcher with so much hope, I have 3 pairs of shoes that are very tight in the toe area. The stretcher broke after 2 uses and I don't feel it stretched the shoes at all. I would not recommend this product.

This thing is horrible. It is very difficult to use. Once we opened it up, it took my husband a whole day and a lot of manpower to close it. My 26 year old son and I couldn't do it.

Unfortunately, the Foot Petals shoe stretcher is not a quality item. I ordered this product because of the Foot Petals name. I eventually ended up ordering three of them and all were defective. The first one split in two at the wood form, two and three had the inside cap, which goes on the screw-type handle to inside the form, come off. I even tried to glue it back on and it came off again. I love the Foot Petals Heavenly Heelz and Tip Toes cushions, but this product missed the mark. I would not recommend this product.

This stretcher was too wide/big for my Size 5 shoes which needed just a touch of stretch. Even my boyfriend with all his muscles couldn't get the stretcher into the shoe far enough to be effective for the bridge of the toes to be stretched. It worked a little bit, as far as I could get the stretcher inserted, but the stoppers for bunion/toe areas were completely useless since the stretcher couldn't be positioned right due to the size. I may work great for others, but be forewarned if you have small shoes, this may not work for you.
