I am a big fan of Alegria shoes. I had never tried this style, and didn't know what to expect. As always the insole is wonderful! The strap is narrow, is adjustable, and fits very well. It's not too wide so it doesn't rub on my ankle. One more reason to love Alegria shoes.

My doctor had ordered Alegria shoes after foot surgery. I could not find them in black locally so got them at Zappos.com. The company shipped them quickly and there was no shipping charge. I will order some Alegria sandals for this summer. My foot does not hurt at all and I would highly recommend these shoes for folks who stand "on their feet" all day.

I have previously had surgery for Morton's Neuroma in both feet. My feet feel better, but have never been 100 percent. I am a registered nurse, and it has been very difficult for me to find any shoes that give the support that I need and takes pressure off the balls of my feet. These shoes have excellent arch support for my very high arches. I have had absolutely no pain in my feet since wearing the Alegria Belle. I am sold, and so excited that I can go to work now without being in pain.

These Alegra shoes (all 3 pair that I have purchased) are wonderful. No more hurting feet, no matter how busy my day is. I get so many compliments too. Strangers have asked me what they are and where I got them. Zappos Is a great service store.

Comfort is important when you work double shifts on concrete floors and these shoes deliver! Based on fitting at local store of similar style I purchased one size larger. I will have to wear thick socks with these but it's winter so that is okay. The "maryjane" style I tried on was so close in design but these are longer and slightly wider by comparison.

These shoes are fantastic. I am on my feet 10 to 12 hrs a day, require non-slip, need more support, etc. My foot is slightly wide, so the previous comments about width helped me decide. Ordering more! Will try other models in this brand.

I like this style much better than the Palermos that I have. The lower front cut is much more comfortable and the velcro strap will not just come undone and fly open. Very happy with my purchase.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years! I work in a kitchen, and they are great! Can't wear Dansko.

These are the cutest shoes ever. However, I wore them for about 10 minutes realized these weren't the shoes for me. I need an extremely wide toe box; my toes bend when I walk and I develop callouses on the end of my toes and blisters on the tops of my toes. My feet are the problem, not the shoe. I would recommend them to anyone with normal feet and like to have fun with their shoes. The comfort gets only a 3 star due to my problems.

It is very hard for me to find shoes. Because of an old injury I need a shoe that is very wide across the toe box but narrow at the ankle. I can not have too much flex in the sole but also have trouble with pronounced rocker toe soles. I was exclusivly wearing Chacos but wanted a more feminine/prefessional option. I heard great things about the Alegrias and they have so many great styles so I ordered a few pairs from Zappos. I think I tried 5 or 6 different styles before finding ones that suited me, these Belles. I liked that it had a lower heel than some of the other Alegrias and a little less of a rocker toe. The toe area is very roomy which is perfect for me but it does feel a little loose with thin socks. The ankle strap is unusual because it opens in both directions but I use the side that opens toward my instep to adjust the size and the side that goes toward the outside of my foot to take on and off which works well. I wore a 39 in Danskos and also am 39 in the Alegrias, although I felt the Feliz style seemed to run bigger than the rest. I am so glad I kept trying the Alegrias. These shoes could not be more comfortable. I will definitely be expanding my collection.

This is my current favorite brand. Be aware that they take a few days to break in then they feel amazing! I have bad arches and these shoes give me the support I need and a look I love!

Very cute and comfortable teaching shoes. I'm surprised I'd never tried this brand before, am now looking for a second pair with a different print.

I don't know what's happened to Alegria shoes. Did they switch manufacturers? I bought a pair about 6 years ago of the oxfords, size 39, and they are REALLY comfortable. I've worn them constantly. But every pair I've ordered and tried in the last few years, in size 39, has been just a tad short. My big toes are squished up against the front, and very uncomfortable. Of course, a size 40 is too big. My feet slip up and down. I've given up on this brand, except for the slip-on styles. They seem to fit okay.

Felt a little flat footed

Cute enough. Very lightweight and comfortable. Good stability and feel very secure. I work a job where I stand a lot so these will be good, but I question their outdoor durability. I sometimes walk through wet/muddy grass for my job, like a cemetery, and I don’t think these would perform well in that environment. Bottom might be slick.

I have had Alegria Belle previously, and ordered my normal size. This particular pair was a little tight/snug, and I was not sure the leather would stretch sufficiently in a short amount of time. I have chosen to return the Belle style and get a second Paloma. I love Alegria shoes because they are so very comfortable.

I really wanted these to work. They are very cute. The mini rocker bottoms are a good design for my needs. The square toe is perfect for the true shape of wide feet. But the toe box while nice and wide isn’t deep enough, the leather is stiff, and the opening cuts across my MTP joint in a painful way. Sadly back they go.

These are interesting, in that they are definitely 'foot shaped' with a wide, rounded toebox. They were too short for me, Euro size 42 / US11.5-12, and the very constructed insole takes up quite a bit of interior volume. I tried removing the insole, and while that gave more height over the toes, it would be miserable to wear: these shoes must have an insole. There's a molded lip/ridge at the back heel (and probably the toe) and the cork insole has a matching 'notch' at the heel, so the insole 'snaps into' place and is secure. Construction was adequate, and I was okay with the style, being what it is, but they're just too short, not enough interior volume, and kinda stiff as well, like a clog sole.

This is the 2nd pair of the Alegria Belle I have purchased (2 colors). I have only worn them a little because I live in a very warm climate and wear sandals as much as possible. I really like the toe shape and room which is the main reason I purchased them. Also, the style is great. My problem is that I have a very narrow instep and so the shoes gap around the sides. I have to tighten the strap to the max. Also, for me, the upper edge by the heel bumps my ankle bone a bit (this may resolve with wearing). These shoes feel best if I wear socks with them (which doesn't look too cool with skirts or dresses). I am still happy to have these shoes, and they are the best maryjanes I have found with good toe room!

I loved everything about this shoe with one exception. For me, my toes being the problem, on one foot the toe box was just not deep enough. My toes rubbed and I could see no way to walk without pain and blisters with this problem. The style was so cute, the strap was a great length and the color was exactly what I expected. I wish I could have kept them. I stick with the Algeria brand and will continue to do so. Zappos was wonderful thru the entire return process. I will continue to make zappos my "shoe store" of choice.

I loved everything about this shoe except the toe box. It was tight on one foot. I have crazy toes on that one foot. Because of my crazy toes the toe box just didn't work.

Alegrias with this sole are my go-to shoes but unfortunately, I can't wear this particular style. One of my feet is a half size larger than the other and, after trying these, I can see I'll need to limit myself to open-heel shoes. The adjustability of the strap on these was excellent. Same style with an open heel, like Merrell used to make, would be perfect.
