Better arch support that my actual arch support inserts! My only note: use the Alegria size chart rather than the Zappos one. The Zappos size drop-down box says 39 = 9-9.5 and 40 = 10. The Alegria size chart says says 39 = 9 and 40 = 9.5-10. I’m usually between a 9-9.5 and I ordered a 39 based on the Zappos chart but my toes were touching the ends. I exchanged for a 40 which was perfect.

I just wrote a review and this is an addendum to that. I generally wear a size 10 and first ordered a size 40. Too short so I exchanged them for a 41. Perfect. I disagree with the reviewer who says theses are wide. They are not. I have thin, flat narrow-medium feet and these fit well except for heel slippage but I usually have that problem. I can use the footbed that comes with the shoe which for me is a miracle. I would say if you have flat or high arched medium to narrow feet give this style a try. I am so glad I did. I hope Alegria makes other "slim" styles.

Enormously comfortable with superb arch support. Bunions are not a problem with this shoe! And, no matter where I wear them there are compliments galore! Can't say how many times I have shared the Alegria name and Zappos as a source with women who appreciate comfort and a playful style.

I love this shoe. I have bunions on both feet (on the top of my foot not the side), flat feet, and arthritis in my big toe (right foot only). These shoes allow me to walk without pain for miles because of the rocker soul. I will be purchasing more shoes from this company. I wear a US 8 but the EUR 38 were to small so I purchased the EUR 39, it's a perfect fit.

Hallelujah, at last a shoe that fits my troubled feet! The shape worked well for my so-called goddess toes. The double velcro strap fastener is a brilliant answer to adjusting it comfortably. I will be looking for more Alegria shoe style and maybe another color in this one. My orthotics fit. All good!

The Alegria Bella shoe is great for comfort and support. I have worn them to work where I stand for hours, and I have worn them to shop for lengthy periods...they did great! I only wish they were a darker black...the dusty black almost looks like navy blue and seems to stand out more below your dark pants. Since I am short, I notice things like that.

The Alegria Belle is a fantastic shoe! Prior to wearing them, I had four stress fractures of my metatarsal bones. I have been wearing Alegria Belle shoes daily for four months now and have not had a single fracture! The shoes are extremely comfortable, even on my foot with a bunion.

Love it, super comfy. It is wider, I wear an 8.5 N normally but have to wear orthotics - yuck - anyway, I can put my orthotics in these on top of the footbed already in there and it works well. I've worn them without my orthotics just to see how they were and they were comfy. Tried taking footbed out and putting orthotics and way way too much slop. Glad I found them!

After having bad luck with Danskos and another pair of shoes, I decided to order a size larger in these than I normally wear. They are definitely too big but still quite comfy - since they are maryjane style, they stay on my foot just fine and I decided to hang on to them for my work shoes. I'd like to get another pair but would order my true size. They did start squeaking quite loudly after a while, not sure if it's just something that happens with this material (never had shoes like this before) or what, but it isn't enough for me to retire them yet. I work long overnight shifts at a hospital and these are the first shoes I have found where I am able to be on my feet all night and they don't hurt like crazy at the end of my shift. Thanks for dealing with all my exchanges, Zappos!

Very comfortable and oddly cute for someone who has high arches, plantar fasciitis, and a bunion and lives in Birkenstocks. The Belle is wider in the toe box than the Paloma by a bit, and the lower profile sole also makes walking feel more natural. I have just also purchased a pair of Alegria Verona sandals for summer and think this brand is going to make a nice change when I don't want to wear my Birkenstocks. I wear 36 in Birks and 36 in Alegria works the same.

The first moment I wore these shoes I was in heaven! So comfortable, cute, worth every penny! I have never heard of these shoes before and noticed a colleague wearing them and looked up the shoe on Zappos. I have never been happier with a shoe, that I bought the Paloma as well!

I have tried to find shoes that are comfortable, match everything, professional looking and do not hurt my feet. These are the best! I have bunions at 34 years old and I am very active so my feet get a lot of abuse. I used to wear braces when I slept because my feet would hurt so badly. I purchased these about three months ago and have worn them every single day! I cannot wait for spring so I have an excuse to purchase some of the cute sandals! Do yourself and your feet a favor! Buy these shoes!

I love this shoe. I wear 11. My feet are flat and wide and this shoe feels great, I have tried other styles by Alegria and so far the Belle style feels the best for me, it has plenty of support, and lots of space in the toe box feels much better than Danskos. I have been a cosmetologist for over 20 years and so far these shoes are the best. Wish they had more colors to pick from. If you have corns or bunions, this is the style you need.

I love the way the Belle is designed, with a double velcro closure on the strap, making it much easier to adjust the width - an especially nice feature for those of us who have one foot that is wider than the other! I am only sad that Alegria doesn't have as wide a selection in the Belle as they do in some of their other styles. I used to be a US size 8 1/2 AA, but seem to be more of a 9 A or B now. Tried the size 39 first, but it was too short for my toes. The size 40 was much better, especially for my left foot. I don't know how the fit would compare to other European sizing. Thank you, Zappos, for your free-shipping return policy! The Belle looks good, but most important of all: my feet love them, especially when I'm standing or walking all day.

These are the most comfortable shoes! I have wide feet, with a high arch. Didn't have to break them in, wore them all day with no discomfort. Love the adjustable strap. They are a little weird-looking, but I like that! Great arch support!

I really wanted these to fit. They are cute. But I take a 12, which definitely does not translate to a European 42. This company makes a 43, but, unfortunately, Zappos does not offer it. I guess that is why the dropdown says my size is 42.

The Belle style did not provide the metatarsal support that I needed. A full rocker style is much better for my feet.

The toe box was not deep enough and the shoe not long enough. I am a size 9 and the sizing said this particular shoe was for 9-91/2 so I thought it would work well. Not so, unfortunately. The insert was comfortable and I really liked the styling but overall it was too small. I am considering ordering a size up but I'm thinking a full size might be too big especially in the heel area.

I think these are actually going to work for me! I typically wear very hard prescription orthotics, and I'm trying to get away from them because I think they are starting to cause new issues. I was going to try the Finns, but they are just too expensive to experiment with. These were a pretty good price for a specialty comfort shoe. These seem to offer good support without my orthotics. They do have a removable footbed, but I can't use my orthotics in them for two reasons: without their footbed, they are way too deep and wide for my orthotics, and without the footbed, the shoe is too flexible to support my orthotics. That's the one thing I would like improved in these shoes -- a stiffer base. As they are, they are relatively solid for a shoe of this type (some with thick footbeds like these are so flimsy I can bend them in half when I take out the footbed -- not good!), so I think they will still work. I will just have to wait and see how my feet do long-term in them. They are cute enough, and the choco embossed style has soft leather that was comfortable right out of the box. It seems the embossing will hold up (hopefully!) -- doesn't seem to be a top layer of glued-on pattern, but maybe laser etched? I prefer a slightly bigger midsole drop, but my feet seem to like these better than the ones with the higher heel (like the Paloma), so I'm going with these. I thought the metal slide the strap goes through might pinch or be cold on my foot, but no problems with that so far. The Paloma has stiffer leather and stitching around the inner edge of the toe box, which irritated my big toe knuckle, but these are softer and cut slightly different, so no problem there. I think these are more flexible than the Paloma in the sole, which is actually a negative for me, but the lower platform on these seems safer for those of us who are a bit klutzy (Danskos are a deathtrap for me). Also, the Paloma squeaked a bit, and these don't -- I think it's the softer leather. These seem to be a good shape for my foot: wide toebox and narrower heel that doesn't slip much, but doesn't rub. I like the padding around the edge of the heel too. Overall, these seem to be a great shoe; I just hope they really do have enough support for my super-overpronating issues, and I hope they hold up well. Time will tell. Hope these details are helpful.

I am a fan of these shoes. I wish they came in more colors like the Paloma. I appreciate that these shoes do not have a rocker bottom. While the insoles are removable, they are very thick (everywhere you see black on the outside is filled with the memory foam insole). This might be great for someone who needs deep shoes, but that is not me. Also, these shoes squeaked very badly. I put up with it for a while, but finally found a remedy! Just take out the insole and rub some Sno-Seal around the edge and bottom of the insole. The sound is gone! Now I do not feel like an elephant walking through the office.

Very disappointed. I liked these lower cute sole than the Alegria Rose but they’re quite heavy strap is a nightmare to deal with. The clip the strap slides thru is too small and needs both hands to maneuver strap thru. Then the Velcro is very short and basically does not accommodate adjusting across the foot. For some reason, the heel slipped on these in walking but didn’t on the Alegria embossed rose, same size.

Toe box is shallow and tight compared to Paloma but the shoe is attractive if you don't need the toe room. Going to stick with Paloma and Dayna for maryjane type Alegria

Wasn't a fan at all of the shape of the shoe. Has too much of a clown shoe shape.
