These are great rainboots and a fantasic alternative to Hunters. I tried on both, the Hunters are about a pound heavier and look bulky in comparison. These are made of natural rubber, which I liked, and they feel stylist yet authentic. Sizing is the big pain. I normally wear a 9 or 9 and a half and I was confused about what size to order. I ordered the 9 and was swimming in boot. I returned them for the size 8 and these fit perfectly. Go a size down, for sure. Overall, I'm very happy I invested in a quality pair of rainboots. We just went through Hurricane Sandy and my feet stayed dry and attractive.

I am a Euro 40/US 10 in Jimmy Choo, etc., so I was surprised that the Euro 40/ US 8 in Le Chameau fit but it is perfect. Very soft rubber so it gives and is comfortable. If you are a US 9 1/2 or 10, go for the Euro 40/ US 8.

Love these boots! The rubber is so soft and pliable so walks through the muddy, wet dog park are extremely comfortable. Beware though: size runs on the larger side. I normally wear a size 7 1/2 or 8 (usually an 8) but I needed a size 7 in these. They were huge and I had to exchange them for a smaller size twice.

Super stylish! Absolutely go one size down or you will swim. Real muckers! Don't buy if you can't be bothered with the off and on. These boots are the real McCoy when it comes to a field boot or a stable boot which means they require effort to put on and take off.

I love these boots! I was having a tough time finding the right waterproof boots for the crazy New England weather. I walk a bit and wanted something that could handle the mini river type puddles I can come across on my daily adventures and that are comfortable. They are super cute and make my legs look thinner too! I tried various types of Hunter boots but just wasn't finding anything that I liked that was comfortable and warm. The Hunter boots felt chunky and the bottoms didn't seem to have the best traction. I lived in London for a period of time and decide to google which Wellies the Royals wear. Although Princess Diana wore Hunters, Kate Middleton wears Le Chameau and now I know why. The quality is unbelievable! So happy I could afford them and that they sell them in the states. What's even better is that Zappos carries them!

After reading the reviews, I bought one size down in this boot and they fit perfectly. These boots are like buttah. Great in comfort, fit and style. I've only had them a short while, but expect that this will not change and that they will be the only pair I'll ever need unless I wear them out. I did not initially set out to buy such expensive boots, but think this is a real case of 'you get what you pay for'.

These boots are wonderful. I bought both the men's and women's euro size 41 (I'm normally a 42) and chose the women's, as the men's are wider and the calf is definitely larger. I've been out in them for two straight days on uneven ground with mud, downed branches, stump holes and plenty of hard walking. They worked beautifully. Make no mistake, these are not loose, easy to slip off galoshes, they are well-made (even if they aren't the high end version) rain and muck boots and kept my feet warm and dry. I wore them with my pants over them and tucked in (try rolling the boots down to make tucking easier). For those with large calves, needing room for thick socks for more insulation, I might order one size up in women's (42) or one size smaller in men's to compensate for the width (40). Fantastic for quail hunting, mucking out stalls and general farm and barn work. Plenty of traction to prevent slipping. Not a single blister or sore foot. And PS, I wore a pair of SmartWool socks and they worked perfectly as well.

Absolutely LOVE these boots! Like other reviewers said, the cut of this boot is more narrow which I like because it fits well even with leggings or skinny jeans and I'm not swimming in extra calf space. After reading reviews I ordered a size 7 (I normally wear an 8 - 8.5) and the size is perfect. A little tough to get off (I have to sit and pull with both hands to remove). I don't mind since they are very comphy, practical & great looking! I definitely want more colors.

These are extremely comfortable and stylish. They fit like a glove and are so light on the feet. I had ordered a pair of Hunter boots at the same time and they were beautiful but felt heavier and bulkier. I could easily stuff my jeans In these. Can't wait to try them out at a field trial this weekend! I'm normally a US 8.5 but got a size 7 and they fit perfect. Definitely size down.

As advised, I ordered a size below my usual EU42 and they fit perfectly with medium weight socks. Jeans tucked in fine, if a little snug. I am looking forward to wearing them on a hunt in calf-deep water!

I was a present for my granddaughter. She thinks they are the best, comfortable, perfect fit, good looking. When we talk on the phone CA vs RI, she thanks me every time!

I ordered two pairs of rainboots, the Le Chameau Vierzon Lady 2 and the Hunter Original in glossy black. Instantly I could tell the Le Chameau was a more comfortable fit. Narrow in the ankle which makes taking off more of a challenge, but that is ok. I have slender feet, ankles, calves. The Hunter boot had more room in the ankle & calf, so was not as appealing to me. My last pair were Sperry Topsider brand and I blew the seam out in two years, but they're a good brand too, and lasted. I hope for the price I get as much wear and tear out of my new Le Chameaus whether out on the town or in the sand on the beach!

Really impressed with this welly boot. The style is great. The calf and ankle are narrower and the boot overall is more refined. They also exceeded my expectations on comfort and I'm ultra particular. They are well worth the money. And Zappos rocks.

These are very stylish and they feel well made. The only problem that I have is with the sizes. I usually wear anything from a 6½ to 7½ depending on the brand. I wish these boots came in half sizes because the 6 is a tad bit narrow, but the 7 is way too big in the foot and even the calf area. I settled with the 6 anyway.

I wanted to buy a Hunter alternative and these are a chunky squishy alternative. I have found that they are a little snug on my calves (which are not large to begin with) and not lined so not particularly comfortable, but what I would expect from a rubber boot. I do like them and am keeping them. I think I also went down a size based on previous suggestions and they fit fine.

This was a lovely boot when it arrived. Beautiful rubber and well made. The style is very "sleek" in that the "Lady" version is very tapered towards the ankle. I personally didn't like that it was so feminine in style as I wanted a true, classic-style rain boot. I have 16" calves, and they barely fit with a size 8. So with those two issues, these are going back for now. I'm purchasing the men's version - we'll see how those pan out.

I have these in the silver and LOVE them! Very stylish/chic, incredibly comfortable, a good height on my short legs (makes them look a little longer), and are very protective in nasty weather. My only complaint? They fit snugly around the ankle so that getting them off can be difficult. Always wear a sock or footie with some "give" or "slickness" to it--and never just put your bare feet in the boot--comfort level is fine, but getting them off is a killer.

Much more arch support and narrower heel area than the Hunter Originals. I was also able to fit them over my athletic calves and skinny jeans, unlike the Hunters, which would only fit over tights. (However, I didn't like the way the gusset looked nearly stretched out). They were not that uncomfortable to walk around in. They are going back, nevertheless. These boots scream pragmatic, and as a professional, I would rather my boots look more shiny and dressy than ready for the farm or swamp. Fit wise, I suggest trying these if you have problems with Hunters. Meanwhile, I will wait and see if something prettier and shinier comes along from this company.

Tough to size both in mens (size at least a full size down) and womens (calf is tight, while foot is loose). Women's boots are probably for only thin gals. Rubber easily rubs off and makes them looks messy in a very short time (especially on the black ones) - might be because of the natural rubber, but am not interested in cleaning it multiple times in one wearing. Otherwise, they appear well made, comfortable and have a slimming look.

I'm normally a 7.5 US and thankfully ordered down to a 7 because anything bigger would have been far too big. I agree with another review that stated these can be difficult to get off - unlike my Hunters. What you gain with this boot, however, is a slightly more fitted look and so far it definitely feels a bit warmer. Similar height to the Hunter but perhaps a tad shorter. Much better arch support than Hunter. I was a bit disappointed with the floppiness of this boot, particularly in the ankle area but since this is my first experience with the brand, I cannot compare to the other styles they offer such as Chasseur or All Tracks!

Just received them, as always awesome fast Zappos shipping. But here is to reflect my utter disappointment in these boots. I was trying not to go with the Hunter hype and also wanted to follow Kate Middleton's brand to be little "cool." Ordered these in size 10, almost sure they would fit. Nope. I am 100% medium width feet, never in my life even tried anything "wide," in these you could clearly see my bunions at first glance. Incidentally, earlier today, I tried a pair of Hunters in size 10 at Nordstrom just to see what my size would have been with that brand. Size 10 in Hunters was perfect, even there was enough room all around for warmer socks. While I had the same skinny jeans on, these boots in size 10, was a lot of work to try to fit in the jeans. You could see the wrinkled jeans underneath the boots, which was also not a problem with Hunters. Total bummer! I really did not want to do Hunters, but these. I may look at the mens versions. Ugh.
