Let's just say I'm a shoe snob. I bought these because others gave them rave reviews about comfort and style. Pros: - they are stylish - there is extra lining so it seems they'll provide some warmth. Cons: - I take exception to paying this much for a boot that's not genuine leather. This isn't - thus 4 stars. - While they don't feel like they'll need breaking in, they aren't amazingly comfortable like Born, Dansko or Jambu. Haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do an all-day shopping trip in these.

These boots are so comfortable! I bought them to wear with skinny jeans. They are perfect to wear all day long, run errands, shopping etc. I have the worst problem feet and I love, love, love these boots!!

Love them! They have a soft, almost fleecy lining (important since I won't be wearing socks with them) and enough room at the opening for skinny jeans to tuck in without scrunching. I got the 38 and usually wear a 7.5. The usual Rieker quality too --- beautifully made. I *might* add a small arch support (I have low arches) but they do have pretty good support even for me. Bonus: I can't get the Four Tops' song "Bernadette" out of my head!

I LOVE these boots. They have become one of my go-to pairs of shoes for fall/winter. Super great for international airport security, no metal so shoes can stay on! I usually wear different shoes for my commute to and from work, but on days I'm wearing these, I can stick to one pair. HIGHLY recommend.

These boots are awesome. Everything I wanted them to be. I got them to replace some Rocketdog boots in a similar style, that I had liked but were no longer available when I wore them out... these ended up better than the ones they replaced. Only thing I would say that isn't just love is that they will be a little hard to polish because of the ruching on top. I don't think that's a big deal.

I had Riekers before and always liked them. I was looking for a very comfortable boot for the fall/early winter that will go well with pants and skirts. This is exactly it. A little heel really helps my feet not to get tired throughout a day (I can't walk in flat shoes all day). The sole is nice and thick. The shoes also have a little lining so for warmer climates it can easily be a winter pair. I will wear it until the snow on the ground when I will switch to another pair with the faux fur lining. Because I had this brand before, I knew to order size 39 that fits me well, maybe a little on the roomier side. I usually wear US size 9, but I am currently pregnant and my feet tend to swell a little. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box - very happy with the purchase.

I love, love, love these boots. Super fun and a bit edgy! Not my normal kind of boot but having fun wearing them!

I love these boot! They look better in person than on the website! They are very comfortable and have a really wide opening. I have large calves so it can be hard to find a boot that fits. These give me plenty of room and are comfortable enough to wear all day long!

These boot are amazing! This is my first, ever, product review.I ordered these boots in black, Schwarz. They arrived the day after I placed the order. They were comfortable right out of the box. My feet tend to border from Medium width to wide. These boots fit perfectly. The non slip sole is quiet, which is nice. My hubby thinks they are sexy! Can't go wrong with that! These shoes are great! They are a little bit larger than their size but not a half size larger. Just big enough to get some thick socks in! They look great. Elegant yet tough! and super warm and comfortable for long walks (I walk to work every morning .7 miles there and back-- occasionally making mid-day trips back and forth).

I've spent a few months looking for the right black boots. I wanted a pair I could wear in the snow and stay warm in, but that didn't look like winter boots so that I could wear them at work, on a night out, or on the weekend. These are the perfect boots for that. Definitely worth the wait! I remain a bit confused at the price, but in getting these and reviewing quality, and knowing I was looking for a while, I still count these to be a good purchase. The only other thing is that they run big. I'm a 8.5, sometimes 9 depending on the shoe and the size 8.5-9 was way too big. I'd say the 8 still leaves room for big socks so order down.

I purchased these boots specifically for a trip to Europe after reading reviews on Zappos. I wore them almost every day and walked around in them all day (up and down steep hills, on cobblestone streets, etc.). These boots are very comfortable - I did not get one blister or have any foot pain the entire trip! They do run large, I had to send back the first pair I got and size down. Great boot for traveling!

I am typically a 6 1/2 M shoe depending on the brand. These boots seem similar to the sizing for Frye boots. My right foot is flopping up and down against the heel a bit to much, so I will add an insert to it and wear thicker socks. These are definitely an entire half size larger and would probably fit a size 7 foot best. I am going to keep them in spite of the sizing because going down a size would likely be murder on my toes, and the left foot might feel much too tight. You might want to buy 2 pair in with 1 below your average size to see which feels best. I prefer a roomy toe box and these provide that. The width seems true to size, and you might even like these if you are only slightly wider than a medium. They are comfortable enough to start wearing out of the box. Although not supple and soft as some of my higher quality boots,they're a good solid boot for casual wear. I like the height of shaft compared to other bootie styles. The way they sit at the lower calf makes them much more comfortable and attractive. Goes great with skinny jeans and even has room for regular straight cut jeans.

This boot is cute but hard to get on if you have a high instep. Hurt the top of my foot once I did get it on. They will be returned.

I've had these shoes for over a year now and they have held up well. They look as good as they did the day I bought them. However, they are not nearly as comfortable as I thought they would be. I often wear them for 8 or more hours in a day, but they are just not comfortable for long time wear.

I am so disappointed. These boots are very comfortable, but the material is cheap, especially for boots at this price! Not the same quality as my other Rieker boots.

I love the boots and felt really comfortable until I started feeling like a nail poking through the heel into the inside of the boot. I am hoping to get them replaced, since I just got them 3 days ago.
