I ordered these boots on Wednesday, 01/09/2013, received them 01/10/2013, only Zappos does that! I love them! I am an older chic, 49, these are for my birthday party in March 50th. They fit perfectly. I wear a size 11, most times Docs are too big, but never a half size available, not these - perfect fit. They are a little hard (stiff), but I will break them in at my party (dancing all night). Thank you Doc Marten and if I had the money I would own all your styles!

If you are like me and trying to figure out what the difference is between this boot and the 1460W, here it is... The heel is higher on it. I like it! Have not broken them in yet. If you have a high instep, you will need to order a size up.

These are great boots. I have a high-arched foot, so the short heel really helps me out. After reading reviews online for various Doc Marten boots, I was concerned with how long it was going to take me to break them in. However, within the first few wears they'd all ready started to feel comfortable. (Helpful trick: wear them with thick socks the first few times). I can tell that they are going to last me a long time. I also get compliments on them all the time! The red is a great color because I can wear it with almost anything yet it looks a little funky. I'd certainly recommend!

Unfortunately I'm one of those in between size people and I am between an 8.5 and 9. I ordered the uk 6 size and it fit but couldn't really move my toes around which I didn't want to take the risk of them not stretching so I called Zappos and they sent me the next size up which is so much better. Excellent customer service and speedy shipment on their part! I would rather have a little extra room rather than have my feet feeling squished. I have a bunion on my right foot which made the smaller size uncomfortable. If you are in between sizes I would order up!

Pros: Nice smooth leather, seems like good workmanship/quality in the overall construction. Heel height of 2 inches makes it seem more like a feminine boot. The 2 inch rubber heel provides great outsole cushioning. The lace-up styling is great for custom fit as I have a high arch, so one can tighten or loosen according to your feet. Cons: Not comfortable out of box. Stiff leather. Granted, it is leather, so hopefully it'll soften up, and mold to my feet. No cushioning inside, so you will either have to wear very thick socks, or definitely put your own insoles. I bought these specifically for use for city streets when playing tourist, going to museums, metal concerts/festivals, county fairs. Basically a shoe that I could handle for long 10 hour plus day. With that said, this shoe had to be slip resistant, be able to trek grass, mud, and pavement and allow me to run, and jump too. You know how big metropolitan cities can be always have to be prepared. I'm not into the white sneaker look which screams victim, or yea, mug me. These boots have that kick-azz look instead. I always wear a USA size 6.5 Med width (no matter what the brand); this shoe not available in half sizes, so I ordered equivalent to size 7M. When worn with insoles, or socks, the fit is fine. I have a high arch, this does not provide any support. I am still trying to tweak the comfort of these boots by trying different types of insoles. I have been wearing these boots inside the house for a week now trying to break them in still not comfortable as I d like it to be. It ll eventually get there. I am still keeping these boots, because it fit the criteria I was looking for in a boot: 2 inch cushioned rubber heels, leather, functional/practical, kick-azz look; So yeah, it's not as comfortable as I'd like it to be (yet), but it meets 4 out of 5 of my must-have criteria for what I will use these boots for.

I love, love, love these boots. I've found them to be really comfortable, especially after I added insoles for a little extra arch support. They've been a staple for me for travel and crummy weather. I've gotten lots of compliments and they strike the perfect balance between funky, tough, and sexy. They work best for me with thicker socks. The only downsides are that they take time to put on and take off and the laces are showing lots of wear.

First I have to say, I love these boots. They look cool and give me a little height - super comfortable. I usually wear a 7 in boots but I had to size down to a 6. Exchanging was very easy.

Beautiful boots! I bought a pair of badass knee high Harley Davidson boots last year and was looking for a similarly cool lower height boot. There are perfect for concerts as the heel adds a few inches. And I look sexy in them with shorts or skirts in the summer. I also think they will age well. The style and quality ensures I'll wear them for years.

Ouch...but that's what you get with Docs. Takes some time to break in but well worth it. This boot is fierce - the higher heel makes them more fashion forward than the traditional 1460s. Very cushy under the heel, beautiful cherry red color. Can be dressed up or down.

I love my boots. I received within 2 days. I ordered on Saturday night. I love that they have a 2 inch heel, gives me height with the best comfort. These are slimmer than the usual Doc Martens. I am a size 8.5 but ordered a 9. I have a size 8 Dr Martens and they fit perfectly, but I had many many days of splinters on my toes and bandage wear. I know now to go with a womens 9 UK 7. I don't mind the extra room, I can always use thick socks. As for the 8, I can only wear very thin socks. These rock! they are gorgeous, remind me of a pair of Topshop boots, or its the other way around. If your on the fence on these, don't be. These can be worn in every possible way.

I'm really enjoying these shoes! I'm usually a 9.5, but the 10 works as long as I wear thick socks. I have sort of twisted feet/weak ankles, plus I'm a stomper, so I typically mangle shoes in a few months. These seem pretty sturdy, so I'm hoping they hold up. So far it seems like my ankles aren't folding in too much, which is great. The shoes are a bit heavy, but they're really cute for a badass boot.

I owned a Dr. Marten of a different style and it took me a while to finally feel comfortable wearing it. Not this Clemency 8-tie Boot! I wore the shoes right away and it felt just right. Combine with my boot-cut jeans, the shoes makes me look taller and lankier. I received a lot of compliments.

I love these boots so much! They are so awesome, and I get plenty of compliments. The extra height looks great with skinny jeans and a flowing too. The only thing is they are quite heavy.

I love Dr. Martens and was so excited that I finally saved up enough to grab my first pair. My boyfriend has a pair that have lasted nearly 3 years and they haven't given up yet-- even when we accidentally soaked them in sea water while romping the beaches of CA. They have such an urban feel to it and the Clemency boot has that feminine touch because they are a slimmer boot with a short heel that adds a little height compared to the somewhat uni-sex pair that my boyfriend wears with a rounder front. It's durable and has great traction. They're essentially waterproof in the rain, not sure if the leather will damage in snow weather but I plan to keep these babies safe and out of salt's way. The leather is incredibly stiff when you get them but they do soften up over time.

I have owned many pairs of Docs over the years and I am satisfied with this boot. I wear a 9-9.5 in US sizing and I ordered a UK 7. I have wide feet, so they are snug in the toe box, but the length is perfect. They are pretty stiff, but its leather so it will soften up. They are not so stiff that I can't wear them, unlike the last pair of Docs I purchased a few years ago. I love the style, the heel is very attractive and comfortable.

I really like these shoes for the mostly professionally dressed environment I work in. I cannot do a full work day in heels but these boots were money. I say 'were' because the interior sole on one of the shoes decided to unglue and bunch up in the arch area. Sad to see 'em go since these are the girliest work shoes I own.

I was reluctant to buy these for my daughter, who really wanted them. They look like army boots in the pictures but much more feminine on the feet. However, they need time to break in. The quality is superb.

These boots are super cool looking, but not as comfortable as I assumed they would be at such a slight heel height. I stand up and walk around all day at work, so I can't mess around with shoes that build discomfort as the day goes on. It would be better with a cushioned insole, I'm sure, but the insoles in these seem to be glued down and not removable/replaceable as with the standard Doc Martens. If you're looking for a little extra height without sacrificing any comfort, I'd give up here and go with the regular Docs. If you can deal with minor pressure related (not blistering) discomfort, they are very fashion and you will be cool and ~two inches taller.

I'm a US 8.5 so the sizing with these is tricky. I don't have narrow feet but they are not superwide either. More like a medium leaning more on the wide side. The UK 6s were too long and heel slippage a problem. Ordered UK 5 and no heel slippage but felt a little tight across toes and up on top. Still breaking them in. I kept them though, but need to break in. Might not be ideal shaft height if you have thick ankles and athletic calves like me. I can only wear leggings or tights with them. Maybe I could pull off skinny jeans if they are ankle length and thin socks. If u have thick ankles n calves go with the cadence shoe.
