Good boot, but go with your size! I'm usually a 7.5, so I ordered the US 6 and US 7 based on the reviews and the 7 actually worked. No need to size down a full size. Nice style, hope it works for rain/ snow!

I ordered these in my normal US size 8 but they felt a full size too big. Loved the color (dark green, almost black) and the style, so I did an exchange. Easy exchange process to get the next size down and they are perfect. A little wide, but that's good for winter so I can wear a thicker sock if needed.

I wanted to love these, but they ran short and were a bit tight around my leg. I don't have thick calves and ordered based on reviews. I think I needed a 1/2 size larger...oh well! They are lovely shoes, just not for me.

The boots are great, very stylish and simplistic. They're also so much more comfortable compared to my actual Doc Marten boots with the laces and all. The only thing I will say about these boots, is the size runs very big. I am a size 8 in my original lace up Doc boots and so I ordered these in a 9. When I received them in the mail they were way too big so I had to exchange them for an 8. I received them again through mail as an exchange (which Zappos made so easy and there was no cost of shipping) but the 8 was still kinda big! I was scared the 7 was going to be too small since they don't have half sizes, so I just kept the 8. I recommend to go down 1-2 sizes when ordering these! Otherwise they're super cute boots; I love them!

I'm writing this review mainly to dispel the myth that these shoes run large in the 6-7 (US)/ 3-4 (UK) range. I fell for that and ordered a 3 (UK) even though I had other Doc's in 4. I'm a straight 7 (US) and the 4 fits tight but perfect to break in. The 3 was insanely tight. Start out with your size and then work down if you have to. Dr. Marten's may have fixed their problem after bad reviews.

Went down a size as recommended, but it's a little tight across the top of the foot. I think for wide feet a 1/2 size down is a good compromise for the Flora Chelsea. Otherwise a solid and great looking shoe.

I reeeeaally like these boots. If you have wide feet they are brilliant. I am a 9.5 but I ordered the uk version of a 9 and they fit perfect. They are edgy and yet understated. My only complaint is the leather outer seems a tad cheap. They are made in Taiwan so there ya go. They may patina well though. All in all I'm really happy with them!

Gorgeous with jeans and leggings. True to size however, they can get a little stiff and uncomfortable after wearing them all day.

These are true to size in terms of length and width (compared to other Docs, so slightly wide). I wear a EU 41/US 9 or 9.5 and ordered the UK 7. The heel/instep area is huge! You're supposed to have some heel slip in boots but this is way too much. They're good length and width wise at this size though. The proportions just don't seem to be a good match for my feet. They don't come with insoles so they're more snug if you put some in, but it barely puts a dent in the extra heel space. Style wise these are not as clunky looking as standard lace up Docs. The sole isn't as thick and the toe shape is a little more feminine. I would definitely keep them if the fit weren't off.

Just buy them. I bought these because I wanted a kind of dressed-up, all-purpose, wear-them-for-years, tough boot. That's exactly what I got with these. They're super cute but they're not screwing around and will last me. I got nervous and chose to ignore reviews that said it ran a size larger. Mine are a titch (maybe half a size?) big, but I got them specifically to wear with wool hiking socks. It could just be I have unusual feet, but I ordered a US 8/UK6 and they're exactly what I want. I have high arches, however, so I will likely invest in some simple insoles. I'm set for fall and winter without looking like I'm hiking Everest!

These boots are really well-made and comfortable. The burgundy color is nice. But they run a bit big and wide. They are also quite masculine. I am a long-time Doc Marten gal, and I sort of wish I got the classic brogues style instead. But overall these are nice shoes for anyone wanting a wide shoe on the butchy side.

HUGE.

I usually wear a 8.5 but Zappos recommended an 8. I think that was probably right- the boot did fit. What I didn’t like was that when walking the top of the boot bends into my toe joint uncomfortably. This boot is very very good looking though. Perfect mix of 90s punk without being over the top.

I really wanted to love these but even with sizing down and exchange I ended up returning these. They’re frankly uncomfortable for me, the boot is too stiff and feels like hard rubber rain boots. I didn’t feel like they were even flattering at all. Aside of the pain they caused in my shins.

My shoes came worn and already creased through the top of foot. I love the fit ( had to order a full size down) I love the style, just am unhappy that they sent a pair that was obviously broken in by someone and returned. If Im paying full price for used shoes, I should get a discount or a new pair sent out.

Boot was beautiful and I felt like it was consistent to other Doc Martens I have owned. Sadly I sized down (I am usually a 7.5-8 in boots) based on reviews but the top of the boot in the toe area was compressing my feet and I felt like it would be painful after 2 hours. Sadly I am returning these, would need just a half size bigger but unfortunately Doc Martens do not have half sizes. Zappos as always has great customer service and helped with the return.

These felt big and stiff. I'm so sad that Doc Martens no longer come in half sizes. They may soften up with wear. I wear my old 3 hole creepers for office professional and thought I could pass these off as professional as well, but somehow the sole doesn't quite blend with the uppers (the sole is significantly wider than the uppers), and under trousers they looked like rain boots to me. But then I was not wearing them in the style intended. I sent them back. I am sad.

I really wanted to love these. Maybe if you are taller (I am petite). They just looked too clunky for me. I have a little bit narrow foot. I ordered a 7 which is my regular size. if i had added an insole I think they would have fit fine. They do run a little big, but I wanted to be able to wear a heavier sock. Oh well.

I want to like these boots more than I do. I am a US 9.5 and ordered a US 10 as there are no half sizes. The foot feels fine. Ok with socks. The ankle has a lot of extra gap around the instep which adds some visual bulk. They don’t have a sleek look as the photo makes it look. They are stiff. They will loosen up with wear, and I hope they won’t be too big after breaking them in.

I don’t think this is a leather boot, as some of the question-answers say it is. The first boot I bought was too small, so I returned it. The box had a sticker on the side that said it was Vegan. I returned it for a larger size because I like my boots a little roomy, and the second pair I got were the same boot style for sure, but this time the Vegan sticker was not on the box. They are lined with a cute black and white polka dot fabric, which also makes me think these are not leather. I would return them but I do like the style, albeit the furnish is pretty polished and stiff looking. If you’re looking for leather, don’t buy these boots! I bought the black polished smooth.

Couldn’t keep these awesome shoes. Had to return... DM needs to make half sizes of this shoe. As I normally wear the UK 4 (I wear a size 7/7.5 women’s US, but UK sizes run larger) but the these were far too narrow, which then gave my toes no room to move around & I couldn’t keep them. I knew going up a size would not be worth it. If you’re more a half size person, expect these not to work out. :(

Disappointed with these boots. They fit well for the first two wears, but now that they're broken in, my feet have started sliding around in them (and, of course, now that I've worn the boots, I'm stuck with them). The problem is the fit as much as the size. The heel is very wide, but I can tell that if I went a size down I'd get blisters on my pinkie toes. More generally, the boots are generally kind of stiff and uncomfortable. They don't have the nice pliability that my other docs have had. I got these after returning the Noelle Chelsea Boot (also docs), which were even more oddly shaped. I've been wearing docs for years, but it seems like their design isn't what it used to be.

I just didn't love these boots. They squeak loudly when I walk; it's going to take several wears to actually break them in; I find it weird that I had to order a whole size down (normally a 7, ordered a 6); they cramp my feet even though the size is technically correct.

I love the style of this boot, but it was HUGE on my foot. I sized down a full size, and it was still giant. I was looking for a cool looking flat boot for weekends, and thought these, my first Docs since high school, might be the ones. Alas: they were not. The shininess of the leather was awesome, and I loved the sleekness of the rubber sole (no stitching was always my preference in Docs), but these just didn't work out.

this boot ran really big on me- have big, high volume feet, so it's rare to feel that boots are sloshing around on me. I'm going to try sizing down.
