Nice finish, a bit shiny and a deep burgundy. Stiff upper, but after day 3 are feeling much more comfortable. All in all, seriously in love with this shoes.

I love a good boot and these are one of my favorite pairs! I lusted after these for over a year but was hesitant to buy because I had never owned a pair of Dr Martens before and couldn't find them in a store to try on. Finally my awesome husband took pity on me and purchased them for me in September as an extra early Christmas present and I fell in LOVE. They are a beautiful dark burgundy/oxblood color that turns to a brighter almost cherry red as they wear. After four months of heavy use they only have a few small spots where the brighter red shows through, I can't wait to see these after a few years! I'm normally a 7.5 but wear an 8 in boots in order to have room for heavy socks, however I had to exchange these for a size 7 because I was swimming in the 8's. When I first received them they were a bit tight across the top of my foot but after wearing them 2-3 days they broke in beautifully and are perfect for wearing with thicker socks, they're still a bit loose with thin socks but not so much that they flop around on my foot. I wear these all day at my casual office job and for running errands and going out, and never have any issues with comfort, I would however purchase a more supportive insole if I were to wear these for traveling or walking/standing for any extended amount of time. Overall these were a fantastic purchase and absolutely worth the price.

These are a gorgeous pair of boots however....I had to return them since they were too big. I am typically a women's size 8, and have size 8's in other styles of docs but this size 8 felt a full size larger. They were very comfortable and easy to get on/off. The only other thing that I wasn't thrilled about was the sheen on this boot, I absolutely *loved* the deep, rich color but they were really shiny, so shiny they looked like a pair of rain boots or plastic. I am now sad, can't seem to find these boots in my size anywhere :((

I purchased for daughter who needs an 11 1/2. Which it seems NO manufacturers make, 12's too big, even with insets (especially slip-on shoes). So with this in mind, these 11's work. So they must run slightly big. Thank you. NO Arch support! We're hoping to add a small arch support so she can wear for long periods of time. When she walks, near where the toes bend, she states it rubs into foot. Hoping this will soften. She loves the look, & color.

I ordered the size down from what I normally wear, and they fit perfectly.

These definitely run big. I range from a 7.5-8. Usually an 8. I got the US size 7 and they’re perfect. Enough room for thicker winter socks too. The style and quality are perfect, as you’d expect from Doc Martens. I know these will last me forever. And Zappos shipping for extremely fast, as always.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! Definitely, definitely order a size down. I normally wear an 8 but I have wide feet so I ordered the 8 and had to return them. The US 7 fit perfectly despite my wide feet. I’m sure they’ll be even better when they get broken in.

Love these but, they need insoles. They are pretty much a flat, stock boot. The are stiff, like all dr. Martens but, not to an uncomfortable level. They are not as shined at the picture, which I actually like.

I usually wear an 8 1/2, but sized down to an 8 based upon other reviews. The fit was perfect. Unfortunately, they were very stiff and rubbed the back of my calves until I had a blister. I loved the style, but had to return them.

I usually wear a 8.5 or 9, but I ordered an 8 according to the reviews which indicated they ran large. These were to short in length. The lack arch support and flexibility straight out of the box. Disappointed, they are going back.

I am usually a 7.5 and just received these in a 7, still much too large. Just ordered the 6 and really hoping they are not too small because this is a beautiful boot. Make 1/2 sizes Doc Martens!

I had to return these shoes. They looked cute but were not very comfortable. The leather was so stiff and would hit the top of my foot when walking.

I wanted to like these so much. They're beautiful shoes: the workmanship and the finish of the leather are excellent. The sole has typical Dr. Martens comfort and support, and there is zero pressure on my bunion. But I was looking for a classic, sleek Chelsea, and I knew as soon as I opened the box that these were not that boot. They were huge. In terms of length they were true to size (I'm a 10 or 10.5, and the 8 felt fine). But the amount of extra space in the upper and the ankle made these fit like galoshes -- loose and clompy. Back they go.

Love these boots. They are SHINY. I was expecting it, but they are even more so. They are wearing very well. I have worn them 2-3 days per week for the last month and there are no signs of cracks, but there are creases. My feel feel better after a day than blunstones.

These boots were a gift for my stepdaughter. She loves them and wears them everyday since they arrived.

Super cute, super sleek... runs about a half to a full size large. I almost always wear a women’s 9, and I sized down to an 8 for these. I like that these are edgier than other Chelsea styles without being too combat boot like.

This is my first pair of Doc Marten boots. The length feels pretty much true to size. I couldn't take them any shorter. My usual size is 10. They are slightly wider than normal in the toe box. The overall fit definitely accommodates a thick boot sock. I love the color (dark burgundy, almost black) and the Chelsea boot style. They are comfortable to wear for several hours and did not require a break-in period. I have not had any trouble with the shaft rubbing above the ankle but I've only worn them with socks. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. Ordering was easy and they were delivered fairly quickly.

I absolutely love these boots. I am normally somewhere between a 10 and an 11 depending on the shoe and the 10 fit perfectly. The sole is really grippy on ice surfaces so these are great for a fancier winter shoe/boot. Highly recommend!

These were comfortable right from the start with very little break in. I like that they are not tight on the ankle, but my foot does not slip around inside. They go on and off very easily. I think they might be a bit snug with thick socks, but medium and thin socks have been great. They look very stylish with both jeans and a dress. I work 10 eye Docs in high school and college, and I’ve been joking that these are my “grown up” Docs.

Feels a bit big, but comfortable not floppy. A little stiff but comfortable and wears nice. Almond toe very flattering and doesn’t makes my size 10 foot look smaller!

The fit and size was expected - which is to say a little tight at first because I have extra wide feet (lol). But they stretched! And are now perfectly fitted to my feet. Also, I'm writing this review almost four years later because I wanted to say how much I love them after all this time. They are so durable and go with everything!! I'd describe the "vibe" of them is a little more on the heavy/grunge side, but I've dressed them up many times. The two negatives are: 1) they do not keep my feet warm. They like the cold and become like ice blocks if I'm outside too long and not wearing heavy/thick enough socks. 2) They are good for walking but my feet usually cap out wearing them around 8,000 steps, (I know that's very specific) and will start to hurt towards the later part of the day if I'm doing a LOT of walking in them. Overall, I love the ease of putting them on, the look, the durability, and plan to be buying another (fur-lined) pair very soon!
