I love these boots! I can wear them in the slushy snow and rain over leggings, or under jeans. They look great after walking through all that mess too! I did have to size down about 1/2 size.

Ladies with a little wider calf (size-wise), these are the winter boots for you! I am between a 16.5-16.75 and thankfully for the laces in the back of the boots these were perfect. I got the black pair and am overall pleased. Good: 1. The fur doesn't fly off or rip out-these are my second pair of faux fur winter books and compared to my other pair I don't have little fur fuzzies all over my house) 2. They are so comfy right out of the box 3. they have a nice little grippy bottom - no wiping out for me! and I unfortunately am the wipeout queen. 4. The leather is soft and buttery 5. The insides are warm and toasty. Bad: 1. They don't look as slimming as in the picture they have a little frump at the ankles. The girl with huge calves has super small ankles (I have the laces pulled as tight as humanly possible in the back). 2. The black while it has super nice quality leather looks a little faded black. 3. It's not bad as much as I wish they were a little taller. Watch outs: Yes, you heard me Watch outs - not bad but things you should be made aware of. 1. The tongue in the back where the laces are is not one piece it looks more like the tongue of your running show where it is flippy. 2. The boots zipper will allow you to take the boots on and off without unlacing every single time. Thank goodness because this girl has places to go and people to see and no time to be lacing and unlacing! 3. Get your true size. I wish I would have gotten the 6.5 but alas they didn't have it! and no 7's either so I took the 7.5...I know but I went with the Steel Magnolias thought process..."In a good shoe I wear a size 6 but a 7 feels so good I buy a size 8". I'll just need to wear some heavier socks. 4. The fur does not go all the way to the bottom it is just on the little top part and doesn't go down the entire shaft of the boot. Good luck and I hope you like the boots as much as I do...bring on the cold!

I searched for months to find a replacement for my beloved 3-year old shearling boots. These were in my price range. I do not love them as much as my old boots, that are Born brand. These boots are cute, true to size. I have a slightly narrow foot and heel. These boots are not snug around my foot, but with the half zipper opening, they don't slip on my heels. I was disappointed that the 'shearling' is so thin and is only on the top 2" of the boot shaft. So the boots are not fuzzy in the foot and not as warm as I had hoped. Overall, they are not exactly what I was hoping for, but I didn't have tons of money to spend. I've gotten a few compliments on the style.

Love these boots, they are true to size and fit larger calfs because of the lase. They do claim to be waterproof and they are as long as water, snow, etc does not get through the lace in the back. If it does, your feet are wet.

Through trial and error I finally found these boots as a comparable replacement for a worn out pair of Merrell boots that I loved. So far they have been great at fulfilling their purpose - they are warm, comfortable, and waterproof (and cute! I've gotten lots of compliments). Some other reviewers mentioned that their boots are not waterproof as they are supposed to be, but so far I have not had a problem with that (and I have walked through snow and slush in them). The one downside to these boots is that they are fairly difficult to lace up. I was used to my old boots that had a couple of toggles on the sides and took all of 30 seconds to put on. These boots, however, are much more time consuming to put on, especially if you don't have something to prop your foot up on in order to better see the lace in the back. The other downside is that they don't offer much arch support, but that seems to be standard in boots that I've tried. Aside from the lack of arch support, they are otherwise very comfortable.

I wear a 6.5 so that's what I ordered and it fit perfectly. I have skinny ankles and with these tied as tight as they go, they fit. They aren't super thick/bulky but they do have 200g insulation to make up for that. They aren't the absolute warmest boots in the world, but they do keep the chill out very well. For everyday outdoor stuff they're great. I live in eastern PA where winter weather is very cold, but not harsh. I was looking for something I could wear to brush the snow and ice off my car in the morning then wear to work and still look good. They fit the bill exactly. These don't look big, clunky, and awkward like snow boots usually do. So far, my feet have stayed warm and dry in the "wintery mix" and 25 degrees we've gotten already.

I purchased these boots fully expecting to have to return them for one reason or another. I'm so glad I don't have to! They are very nice and stylish (in an outdoor/keep your feet warm & dry kind of way) and they seem to be well made. I haven't worn them outside yet, but I have a lot of boots and my intuition tells me that these are going to be great for winter. I live in Germany and will be heading to Munich for Thanksgiving and will be doing a lot of outdoor walking in the snow and rain, and I'm so glad these arrived in time for my trip! I bought them in black and they don't look quite as shiny as the photos suggest, which I'm actually happy about. The fit is nice, although the sole is not quite as soft on the bottom as I had hoped. Fortunately I'll be wearing warm, thick socks with them so they should be comfortable enough. The calf circumference is adjustable, but I'm wearing them exactly how they came. If I wear leggings under jeans I'll still be able to wear them, which is nice. The arch could have a touch more support, but I think once I wear them in they'll be just fine. They are definitely grippy on the bottom so I don't expect to slide around on the ice. This is important because I live on a hill and it gets very icy in the winter. I bought them in a size 7 and a 7.5, and was surprised that the 7.5 fit my foot better because other reviewers said they fit large. The 7.5 offers enough room to wear thicker socks, but I can also get by with regular socks. Overall, I'm happy with them and look forward to wearing them this winter.

The fit seems to be pretty true, and I think they'd be cute in the grey or black but the brown option are MUCH darker and more of a red-brown than they look online. Not at all the neutral undertone that it looks like they would be. Also, when they arrived, the laces had a tear in them which would surely have broken if I kept them. I'm returning these for another color, hopefully I like them more!

Very cute and functional boot. It fits half size smaller than marked. I gave it 4 stars because the tread did not look like it will stand up well to longer wear.

I love these. The fit is great and they have done well in the winter weather we've had so far. They are a great waterproof alternative to my beloved Uggs.

I absolutely loved these boots for the first two winters that I had them. The traction in the snow is great, and I wore them to and from work in Chicago every day it snowed or was even cold. The only really disappointing thing about them was that on the third winter the zipper started to fall apart. On both boots the zipper was getting stuck, and zipper teeth were coming out at the ankle bone.

These are super cute boots but the sole & material around your foot is so thin that I can't possibly believe my feet would stay warm in them when walking around outside in the snow without at LEAST a very thick pair of socks on the inside. In general I think this is a problem with North Face snow boots.

These are cute and comfortable but not practical for the prices. Do not buy these if you are looking for a warm winter boot. I get many compliments on them but I don't wear them out on very cold days or in snow.

These are ok. I wish I had purchased one of the cute Ugg brands instead. I'm not really sure why I didn't. They are not that much less money. They are what they represent to be. I'm just not sure what I was thinking. I think I thought they'd be more fashionable than they are. If they don't deliver on fashion for your tastes, than I think there are better options for function and comfort.

I had to give these boots only 2 stars because they are COLD. I live in Minneapolis and it is often below zero, and these boots sadly do not stand up to brutal sub zero temperatures. it is a bummer because they are super cute and comfortable. I'd say only buy for style, but not if you actually need to keep your feet warm.

The cutest & stylish looking winter boots. I really wanted to love them. I ordered two different brands of boots and compared them over and over again trying to find a reason to keep these, but except for the back straps there were none. No arch or ankle support, don't keep my feet warm (just wearing them inside the house it could feel the gloomy cold whereas the other brand made my foot really warm), and they make the foot look very big. Sadly they will go back.

This is not a snow boot. My biggest complaint is that is this supposed to be snow boot, and it really it not made for the weather. There almost zero insulation around the foot and sole. Same for the shaft of the boot. There is just some faux fur at the top for style. They style is cute, and if you live in California, and just need an apres ski boot, then it is great. If you walk or work outside for any length of time, this is not for you. I wouldn't recommend this boot in temperatures below 20-25 F. This boot is super comfortable, light-weight and easy to get on and off. Very stylish. I sized down a 1/2 size.

I am very disappointed in these boots. I bought the Janey II last year and they were not waterproof like advertised! Every time I go out and am in the slightest of snow, water seeps in through the seams near the toes. Also, bottom of the boot does not do a good job of insulating the boot. My feet are always cold! I got these boots because they were flexible and small enough to drive in; however, do yourself a favor and buy real winter boots that will keep you warm (like Sorel). You will be happy that you did!
