I bought this in large part because I wanted a waterproof jacket to layer over non-waterproof clothes and it says on the attached Columbia tag "waterproof." Two rainstorms later, and the clothes under the jacket got we both timest. The coat (and especially sleeves) allow water through in anything but a pretty light rain. I've had waterproof coats before, and this one definitely is not. Maybe labeling it "water resistant" would be closer to the truth. Very disappointed. The first Columbia clothing item (out of dozens) that truly did not meet expectations. I hope this isn't a sign of where Columbia is heading. If you're looking for a waterproof coat, this isn't it.

I bought this few years back. Since then I travelled 4 continents wearing this jacket. It easily handled the downpour of northern Australia to Gale of Himalaya in Nepal to unpredictable weather of Alaska to volcanic ashes in Iceland. I'm traveling all seven continents wearing same rain jacket.

Bought this jacket a second time, first one for my husband and the 2nd time for my step dad. Both guys love this versatile jacket! It is light weight, easy to pack for trips, and a great rain jacket. It does have just enough style to also look great! This jacket is perfect over t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, even thicker shirts. Both guys also liked how very waterproof the jacket is. This jacket is a great find!

I needed a lightweight rain cover and decided to try this item. It is exactly what I was looking for! It fits my body perfectly, is very light weight, and looks great in appearance and style. Runs large so get a size smaller, other than that it looks great and sheds water.

This jacket has all the right features. Closeable sleeves, pockets, hood, waist, with zippers, Velcro or draw strings. Were it loose or tight, your choice!

Great Jacket for the rain, it's true to size yet large enough to wear a sweater or 2 underneath for extra warmth. It's made with good quality so no need to worry about it being torn so easily. My pesonal favorite rain jacket!

Better than I expected. Runs a little large, but even in florida weather it feels all season. Waterproof and comfortable.
