This bag is made with very sturdy canvas and leather. It is very spacious with lots of room for books and a laptop. Perfect for college students

Herschel Supply Co bags are worth the money. This backpack has held up well to heavy high school student use. The reinforced bottom helps to prevent the normal tears that develop in other backpacks when they are constantly set down on concrete or kicked around. It is a durable bag that has a classic style that works well for most students. The padded straps and the top loop are sewn on well and have not torn after over a year of use. There is another version called Heritage that is similar to this one and I prefer that one just slightly over this version. The Heritage has a useful top pocket with fleece lining that works well for storing a cell phone. This version does not include that. It does have a divider pocket on the interior that can hold a small laptop a bit more securely than the main compartment. The front pocket is useful for calculator and pen and pencil storage.

A comfortable, lightweight bag for general stuff-carrying. The large main compartment will hold your laptop (unpadded), charger, and two or three textbooks comfortably. Or a bottle of wine, some pasta salad, and a smallish picnic blanket. The eye-catching design gets a fair number of compliments too.

This backpack is great! The material is sturdy and it's the ideal backpack for a commuter because it's so roomy. I can fit my 13 in MacBook, lunch, a book, my wallet, and other small, miscellaneous items in there no problem.

I bought this for my 4th grader.The style is nice but the zipper a little hard to pull when it reach a corner tops. The straps are too close to the hook when you put it on you feel that all the weight is carry by the corner of your neck and shoulders supposed to feel on the shoulders only.The material is strong.My son using it for one year and it still looks nearly new.Overall is good but missing comfortable I won't buy more.

This was a great bag but too small for me. I’m a teacher, tired of lugging my whole school life around on one shoulder…decided to try for a great, simple backpack this year. I could barely fit a 1” binder and a few books inside. I loved the Herschel style, though, so I ordered the Settlement and love it. It’s got more room for my needs.

Originally wanted the "Birds of Herschel" print design back a few years ago, so it was great that they reissued the design for their anniversary. Has held up well for the several times I've used it.

I bought this book bag for my daughter in red. It looks great and the quality is excellent. I only wish it had more additional pockets.

My 6th grader picked this out for a school bag this year and I’m happy with the sturdy quality. Also roomy enough for him to fit a couple days worth of clothes and things for short trips. The contrasting inside fabric is a fun touch!
