Bought these because I hoped they'd be an alternative to the lace-up 577's that I wear daily for exercise walking and just walking and that have been in short supply. Big mistake. The two loops don't give me same the support in the shoe as the lace-ups. When I changed the inserts for my orthotics, they were even worse. I'll end up using these shoes with the standard inserts as regular walking shoes. Would hate to have to buy another pair.

The hook and loop "straps" lengths were too short. Only about 1/8 inch overlap on top strap. Not enough to secure the shoe on the foot for long.
I found them uncomfortable.
I will buy a different style to replace these. New Balance generally makes very good shoes so I will stay with them.

The shoes fit like a 3 x wide all around. My feet are round wide feet yet these shoes felt bulky

Returned for the next size up (5 Stars for customer service), but of course it's not available in my size. Ended up ordering another style for $30 more.

Shoe appears wide but it was too tight to wear. Hurt to put on let alone walk. Seemed to run narrow.

Same size as I always order. Way too small. Wanted to talk to someone but that does not seem possible so I just returned them.

I have narrow feet. I ordered the "standard" width, I could not wear them they were so tight. I returned them and got "wide" width. They fit great!

I purchased this shoe before and it was perfect. This one had shorter straps and smaller tops. I sent it back on May 7th.

Still looking for a NB walker that fits my foot. The old 925's with it's SL2 last worked well, but the current crop of supposedly SL2 have shrunk the box, are tight across the instep and the lace, hook and loop sides barely cover the tongue. I am disappointed in the current crop of NB shoes.

True to the size, style as expected for a wide walking shoe. The shoe has a thick padded tongue, and on my pair there was a large amount of material left untrimmed inside the shoe, below the attachment stitch line. This created a pressure point on instep and the shoe was impossible to wear. I presume this is a manufacturing defect as opposed to a design defect because it affected right shoe more than left. I returned my pair immediately.

The tong of the shoe is very uncomfortable it keeps moving around and poking the top of the foot into the leg.

A little stiff and may be why it felt small.

The shoe was so narrow that my husband could not put it on. This is the same size he always buys but New Balance did not meet our expectations.

THESE SHOES I HAVE PURCHASED ARE FOR WALKING & EASY TO PUT ON. VELCO STRAPS ARE TOO SHORT AND CAN NOT
FASH PROPERTLY. OTHER SHOES PURCHASE HAD LONG STRAPS AND WHEN SHOES WERE BROKE IN, YOU COULD CUT STRAP
OFF TO FIT.

I have purchased this type of shoe for close to 15 years. Since then models have changed slitely but fit and comfort have stayed the same. However price has increase dramatically. There has been different promotions during that time but NONE in the last 4 years at least.

First walking shoe purchased & it doesn't seem to give the arch support of running shoes. New Balance usually are comfortable from the beginning. These feel like breaking in dress shoes.

I usually buy these in white, but the black felt noticeably stiffer and felt less supportive.
